Remember how Spider-Man, who was male-oriented, received his own Broadway musical, Turn Off the Dark?  Just imagine if the G1 Transformers cartoon, or the recent Transformers Prime, or any incarnation of Transformers went the Turn Off the Dark route, and wrote its own series of musical numbers, just because My Little Pony did plenty of that in almost every one of its own incarnations.  Can you imagine Megatron or Starscream singing their own villain songs, like Scar from the Lion King or Gaston from Beauty and The Beast?

 

I would've liked it myself.  Right now, 2010-2013 is almost the reverse of the 80's and 90's; where the latter was dominated by Transformers, the former is currently dominated by My Little Pony.  So, if Transformers were to fight MLP to regain its dominance, the franchise would probably have to resort to writing its own musical numbers, just like Spider-Man before it.

 

Yeah, it would be stupid.  MLP is more akin to the Disney Princess franchise, which heavily emphasizes musical numbers.  Compare that to Transformers, which, being a boys franchise, doesn't use musical numbers of its own.  But really, how else can Transformers regain relevancy, especially with MLP dominating and Michael Bay killing the franchise with his bad live-action movies?

If Transformers had musical numbers, most of the time there would be musical numbers that come out of nowhere or have no purpose at all. Musical numbers wouldn't kill the franchise, it's just that they are not needed.

Hmm.  Transformers has traditionally taken itself too seriously to become a musical.  No doubt there are plenty of fan-made musicals though. 

 

If somebody came up with the right script, could Transformers make its Broadway debut?  Would Hasbro sponsor such a thing?  I don't see it happening.  But never say never.

Then how come people like you are okay with Daniel Ingram's musical numbers from the My Little Pony show?  Just imagine how beneficial Ingram could've been, if he actually wrote musical numbers for Transformers Prime!  You know, like Starscream singing about how he's mistreated and considered trash by Megatron?

I'm okay with Daniel Ingram's musical numbers, but not the songs that come out of nowhere. Beneficial? Transformers isn't a show that should have any musical numbers because, it's a show about two sides that fight against each other in wars it's not something where you can just put musical numbers for no reason.
