Grell used his magic to pull an apple out of his bag and ate it "so now what do we do" grell asked between bites "is there some kind of initiation or something of the sort or are we just going to wonder around here doing whatever" grell asked

(just saying we shouldn't have made it without conflict if monsters are attacking demigods ))

As grell munched on his apple, Silver suddenly adopted a very serious expression. He said, "While there is no formal initiation, we do have a rather pressing situation outside the barrier. We have spent a few weeks scouting around and found numerous monster dens, each housing numerous creatures, all thirsty for demigod blood. While we are safe inside camp, we can't have ourselves be locked in, so we need to act soon before the situation becomes too dire. Lux went off to help another demigod, so that just leaves us to root out some of these monsters. We have located a hydra den, the lair of the Chimera, and one that seems to be crawling with undead. Despite your inexperience, we are the only ones who can really be spared. It's very fortunate that you showed up, as I was going to have go alone... But now... take your pick, if you don't have adequate weapons, just stop by the forge and I'll make you something."

 

(If you guys don't like this idea, that's ok, just a thought to get some dangerous adventuring going)

Grell smiled "well being the son of the god of death I think ill take care if this undead problem" grell said as he opened the jaw on the skull and his scythe appeared he finished his apple "now then if you'll kindly point me in the right direction "

Midnight just nodded prefering to stay with grell

Silver replied, "Very well, but I'm going to warn you now, it won't be easy. Being undead, death has no reign over them. The only way to fight them will be the old-fashioned way. Also, the journey won't exactly be a walk in the park either. Not only are the undead after us, but who knows what we could find in the wilds on the way there." He then adds jokingly, "I just hope that you guys have had enough combat experience to not die on me too quickly!"

Grell smiled "that's why I chose them it's a perfect way for me to learn how to fight with my scythe " grell said as he pulled another apple out and munched on it "besides how hard can it be really"

(nice filler idea I decided it would be best to fight somethings that aren't to horribly strong ))

(I'm back! owo) Midnight smiled and grabbed her moon blade, staying right by Grell's side. "This givesme a chance to work on my bravery!" She exclaimed, shaking her plot. She was happy she was going to be alone with Grell. She wanted to take to him about how she feels.

Grell smiled and turned to walk away heading to walk to the undead thinking about how he would tell midnight about how he felt and about how those plot holes cheated his dad it was past their time and needed to be ended "come on midnight we have to get going " grell said

Midnight blinked, following him. "S-sorry... I was thinking..." She trotted right along side him. -I wabt to tell him how I feel... Dammit why am I so shy...?- she thought as she sighed. -I bet he probably doesn't feel the same anyways... I mean, he does't even really look me in the eyes...- She was unintentionally bringing herself down again.

Grell smiled ass they left the camp "relax midnight" grell ssaid with a smile he could tell she was feeling down "what's wrong " grell asked while putting his scythe away and watching for anything hostile satisfied that nothing was out for the time being he looked at midnight

Midnight shook her head. "I-it's nothing..." She looked away, sighing again. She didn't want to bother him with her emotional spats again like she did in the safehouse. She looked up at the sky, wanting so bad to fly again. She missed that feeling. Now she knows how ground ponies feel. "I-i just miss flying, is all..." she lied, smiling at him sadly.

Grell sighed and stepped in front if her and faced her "you're lying " grell said flatly "well at least not telling the whole truth " grell looked her in the eye "now I'm going to try again what's wrong midnight " grell asked again he wasn't a big fan of being lied to

Midnight bent her head down, looking at the ground. "I-it's really nothing... I'm just... I dunno... Conflicted...about something..." She wished she was a better liar. She knew he'd see through her lies. She was never good at lying. At least, not to ponies she cared for as much as him.

Grell sighed disheartened that she didn't trust him "fine then let's go" grell said with a sigh as his head dropped several inches -if she doesn't trust me then Im sure she doesn't like me - grell thought as he slowly turned to walk "I know you'resstill lying " grell said

Midnight shut her eyes tight. She didn't want to lose any hope of them being together. "Fine! I'll tell you... B-but I know you won't accept it..." She looked up at him, her eyes shining with fear as tears swelled up in her eyes. "I-i like you!" she yelled, her eyes shut tight, head down and tears going down face.

Grell stood their in utter shock -she..she likes me - grells thoughts where jumbled he hugged her and wiped away her tears "I guess this means I don't have to try and figure out how to tell you that I really like you " grell whispered as he hugged her tight

Midnight blinked, looking at him. "Y-you like m-me too???" She snuggles into his embrace, smiling happily. "I-I'm so happy..." She couldn't believe it. Grell, the pony who was so cool and collective, is now in utter shock, all composer lost, abd just admitted he liked her too.

Grell smiled "yeah I like you " grell said as she snuggled into him he kissed her on the top of her head as he did so a lone undead pony stumbled out of the tree line while still holding midnight he used his scythe to stab it in the head "it's past your time " grell said as the undead pony slumped over

Midnight blushed, not even noticing the undead pony. -H...he kissed me... It was just on the forehead but it was still a kiss!- she thought happily, burying her face in his chest. Her legs were hurting really bad; she wished she had her wings so they could give her legs a break.

Grell put his scythe away as she buried her face in his chest as a group of six more undead stumbled out of the woods grell let go of midnight with one hoof and held his scythe while holding midnight with the other he swung his scythe I MC a wide arc and hit four in the head killing them

Midnight got out of his embrace and, eyes glowing gold, drew her moon blade and "ninja flipped" in front of the other two, slicing one's head off and stabbing the other's chest in one uniform motion, looking like a well-trained, badplot assassin, their blood spraying all over her.

Grell walked up to the still chomping head and Used the staff of his scythe to smash the skull in and simply lowered the blade into ghetto others "now then " grell said with a smile "that was awesome midnight " grell said with a smile as he put his scythe away

Midnight blinked a few times, her eyes going back to normal. "H-huh??" She looked down at her body and gasped at the blood. "D-did I just...?" She looked at the blood on her blade and just sat there.

(((She doesn't usually remember what she did when she uses her powers. That's why she doesn't like using them)))

Grell lost his smile "you did good midnight "grell said as he pulled a cloak out of his bag and wiped the blood off her face "you don't remember do you "grell asked as he began to wipe the blood off of her body he done so carefully adding water to help clean it all off

Midnight shook her head. "W-when I use my...power, I can't remember it afterwards... It usually happens when I get really mad or really scared... And I was scared 'cause I thought you were gonna get hurt..." She looked up at him. "I-it's only when it forces itself out that I can't remember... When I willingly release my power, I can remember..."

Grell finished cleaning her up and smiled "well since you remember let me fill you in" grell said "you was awesome I never would have thought you could fight like that and don't worry it takes a lot to hurt me "grell said as he hugged her "well that's seven that have finally met their end let's get going "
