writing Farewell

It seems like a hard decision,

in fact it was the most difficult thing to do,

As soon as the trees bloomed,

They lost their leaves again.

 

I am not here to tell you what you did wrong,

I am merely here to apologize,

For the pain and hatred I've caused you

Over these past few years.

 

The time we've spent together went by in a flash,

For the first time, I felt happy, I felt important,

But you of all people should know,

That the flow of time can't stop.

 

We've argued many times,

but in the end we couldn't hate eachother,

However eventually time teared us apart,

I am sure you have noticed.

 

Do not try to stop me on my course,

It's time to say goodbye,

This cold winter cannot warm me up anymore.

So please don't come after me.

 

I wish for you to live a happy life now,

It's too late for me to turn back,

consumed by a cold heart,

Light has failed to reach me.

 

For I am stepping in the dark,

Waiting for your reign,

I will await your gently light,

For all eternity.

 

Now farewell, my dear friend,

I will never forget you,

nor the time we've spent together,

As you know, I will love you forever.
