An Old Head 4,816 December 5, 2013 Share December 5, 2013 Because I have, and I feel very alone. Very alone. Alone as in nobody else you know has done a dive? Or alone in the depths of the sea? I've not been in open water yet, but I did get my Ocean Diver certificate from BSAC after lessons in scuba diving in a 6m-deep pool. I actually enjoy the practical side of scuba diving just as much as the theoretical side. Mastering level buoyancy makes it so much easier as well. Our school diving instructors keep saying we'll make the trip to do an open-water dive, open-suit. Each year it ends up not happening If it's ever an option on holidays we go to, by all means shall I hop in.

Adente 1,000 May 28, 2014 Share May 28, 2014 I had to get PADI open water-certified for an Honors Program at my high school. I really loved it, except for the fact that we did our training in the Puget Sound (I live in Washington State) which is cold as sin in the winter, which is when we trained. It was more than worth it though, since the program takes a trip to Hawaii to go Scuba diving after our Junior year, and I had a blast with that! A picture of me Scuba diving for the project all of the kids in the Honors program had to do. (My project required me to stay submerged at about 14 feet for extended periods, so even though it was in a pool I figured it was best to just use scuba gear)

Khaoios 1,970 May 29, 2014 Share May 29, 2014 I have twice, but I prefer Free-Diving. That's because less equipment and your body is more "free" than being weighed down, IMO. I tend to do it when I go Harpoon-Fishing, XBL: Riot Rojas 3DS Friend Code: 5300 - 9568 - 7902 WEB/CHANNEL: THREADS: Youtube - ThunderColt Studios MLP:FIM - Wrath of the Ancients Fan Fictions Weebly - ThunderColt Studios MLP:FIM: The Day Equestria Stood Still - Volunteers Wanted
