private THE REAL legend of dragoon: actual RP

Vae Victis

Recommended Posts

It is a time of fear and tension among the nations of serdio, and the nation of imperial Sandora, which broke away from serdio after Empoerer doel murdered king Carlo 20 years ago in cold blood. There has been an uneasy truce with imperial Sandora, but with rumors of a dragon being under control of empoeror doel, the balance of power has been broken. Now the chance of war is very likely... But of course, this war is only but a prelude to the terrors of absolute destruction and a tool of the true manipulators.. And only ancient and powerful warriors, known as dragoons, may be able to stop the very undoing of the world itself. But those destined to become the new dragoons are still ignorant to the fact, as the spirit stones of the dragons, the granters of power, have yet to be found, and the true menace yet to be discovered.

It is a peaceful day in Seles, and everyone is going about their business as usual. They have no idea that an order has been given by empoeror doel to search their village in order to find a special object... And they also don't know that inevitable slaughter comes when shadows are one with everything... In the dead of night.

( start time! Go about business as normal until nightfall... Remember. Character development is key. )

Strong iron was working his forge when he received a letter and a warbulletin from his son, iron will. He mumbled to himself. " chance of war very likely... I hope it's just a rumor." He was an old pony, at age 57, his bones started to ache, and yet his physicality and size put even snowflake to shame. He had been a warrior in the past, dawning heavy black and yellow armor and brandishing a longsword almost as big as himself. He loves peace dearly, as well as his son and his departed wife, moon gem. Sometimes he missed her, especially when his son came to visit. After all, he had her eyes. He slammed the hammer down hard on the blade piece of a sword, ready to douse it in water and make the hilt. He was not the only blacksmith in the village. Forge fire was also one. He hoped that together, they would finally meet the quota of the commission that had been sent to them. As he doused the blade, he divided for a break. He left the blade in the water to let it cool, and left to the local well in Seles. Maybe he'd strike up a conversation with the other villagers. He loved talking to others. It helped make a day interesting and put a smile on old strong iron's face.

Vincent sighed to himself as he flew high above the village, attempting to keep the clouds under control. Griffions werent as good at controlling clouds as pegisi... if a true storm blew through town, he wouldnt be able to keep it at bay very long. Luckily, the clowds were few and far between today. He simply had to move them as neccisary... a few farmers requested he move them over the fields for a couple of hours, a to keep the sun off of them to make things easier to work, but he decided against it. The crops needed the sun, after all. Once he managed the clouds, he flew down to the ground before and landed in the fields, looking around to make sure no one was about, before pulling a book from his back and looking it over. It was a book, finished recently, on the Pony-Griffion war that had occurred... the war his own father had fought in.

He placed the book away, taking off to head back into town. He simply wanted to find something more to do... although most of the ponies and town were distrustful of him... he couldn`t blame them.... the war was still fresh in most ponies minds, and he was a Griffon... it didnt help he had moved into the village not terribly long ago he wandered through the town, spotting an old earth pony... he looked old enough to have been in the war... he was instantly worried that some sort of event may occur from this encounter.... something that might outcast him further! If he was lucky, perhaps he could be ignored... what if the man had some completely crazy obsession against Griffions, and shouted out at him as if he were the devil, or had some war flashback and tried to kill him, or or... anything!

After strong iron made it to the well, he attached the bucket that was beside the well to the rope, and lowered it down. When the water was retrieved, he grabbed one of the four ladles attached and started to scoop some water into his mouth. Some trickled into his long beared. After he gulped some water, he noticed a griffon watching him. " hmmm... I haven't seen him around very much.. I wonder if he'll share a drink with me..." He waved, smiled, and shouted in a friendly tone to the griffon. " hello friend! Would you like to share a drink with me?"

Shifted was walking by. He was shifted as Crimson, his slightly happier more out going version of himself. He found it easier to talk with others. He was looking for a new dagger. Broken, his insane fourm had broken by repeatedly stabbing a guard chasing him. "Dammit" he said to himself as the pony waved to another. Ah well ill follow him and maybe ask him later (Italics is thought). Still he went near the pony "accidentally" bumping into him. "Oh sorry" he said.@,

Tempest sighed as he walked through the villiage. He was only here to search for supplies, and then he would be on his way. He then noticed a few familiar faces, and smirked. "This should be interesting." He thought, as he remained in the shadows. The cyan pegesus then walked into a nearby store and browsed their wares. By the time he was finished, he had bought a pair of dual swords and some food. "This should be enough to get me through the day." He then flew into the air and stood on the tallest building. "The city is so beautiful from this high up. I might as well meditate." Tempest then smiled as he relaxed and gazed over the horizion.

Xena floated through Tempest's mind, and simply sighed. "It's been a while since anything exciting has happened." He thought. "I just hope Tempest knows what he's doing. He nearly got us killed in the last city we were in."

Tempest sighed. "I already told you Xena, they were the ones who started it." He thought, directing it at the being who dwelled within his mind.

(P.S. Xena is a split personality of Tempest.)

Vincent fought to keep from jumping as he saw the old pony shouting at him, raising a brow for a moment. Well, he seemed friendly enough... he smiled lightly, walking towards him "Uh, yeah, sure. I dont have much better to do...." He said, looking at the old stallion. He seemed to recall spotting him working the forge at the black-smith. He looked at the bucket from the well, seeing the stallion had already filled it, using a ladel to scoop out a big spoonful, and taking a long drink from his beak. Afterwards, he reached out his claw, opening it to offer a shake. "Im Vincent. I moved into the village a while ago... I... believe I saw you at the forge?" he said, tilting his head. "I use to do courier work, but... I was looking for a place to settle down and this place looked as good as any! Better than the cities... when I use to make deliveries there, the people would... you know..." he shrugged. After a moment he said. "Im actually surprised you are... this polite.... I heard that one of the blacksmiths fought in the war...." he said cautiously.

" hahaha that is true. But we ponies were in the wrong about many things in that war. Especially about mt. Gloriano. That's griffon territory and we should have respected that. And it's nice to meet you. I'm strong iron. And yes I work the forge. And yes I was a warrior at that time. And believe me, you may seem hated by many in this town, but old warriors like me who were in that war... We harbor no hate for you. I welcome you as a friend. now i may be old, but i am respected by many. ill tell the townsponies to lay off of you and be treated with the kindness you deserve." Said strong iron, smiling.

Just then, a pony bumped into strong iron. " oops, sorry stranger. I didn't mean to obscure your path."

"No it's my bad " crimson said cheerfully. "So are you lot getting drinks?" He asked seeing if he could come along. He looked at the Griffin, he had no problems with the. He had been a griffin once but had hated the feeling. He looked at the Grifin. "And you are?" He asked with a smile.

(Btw this is his happy side)

Vincent smiled appreciatively at the stallion. "In that case, I say well met! Good to meet a pony that doesnt think that a Griffion will come swooping into thier windows and eat thier fillies and colts." He said, laughing at his own slightly dark humor. "I appreciate you putting your neck out there for me like that... I only hope I can live up to your good word!" He said with a light smile. "That said... I understand why you ponies wanted those mountains... suppose to be alot of minerals in there, right? I can see why you went to war over them... doesnt make it right, but..." he shrugged. He looked at the pony that had walked into Iron, whom asked fr his name.  "im Vincent Stormwalker. As for the drinks... I suppose we are! Any good pubs?" he asked the elder stallion.

" the one that is 5 houses left of my home and forge. The huntsmsn's meadery. Alot of ponies from the village and from elsewhere come there. That's where I'm going to make my little public announcement and tell them to leave you be and see you as a friend. Many fine selections, with firetongue mead being the favorite of many in the village. Come with me, I'll take you both there."

Strong iron trotted and showed them the way to the meadery. But on his way, he felt eyes upon him. He looked at the local temple, where ponies worship Soa, the god that planted the divine tree on the continent of endiness that bore the 108 fruit from which all species came. This religion was common knowledge and generally accepted in the lands of serdio, Sandora, and Mille seaseau. Tiberoa, a neighboring desert land, worshipped the stars, and the death frontier, a desolate place, had no major religion, as it could not sustain life and no one could live there. He looked up at the tower of the temple, and saw a cyan Pegasus with two swords, then quickly turned his gaze. He muttered to himself. " ha... Forged those a week ago... Hope they serve you well, friend..."

They arrived at the pub. " here it is. 10:00 in the morning and we're already about to drink... Moon gem would throw a fit." He chuckled lightly. He entered into the pub, holding the door open for the others and welcoming them in.

Tempest glanced at Strong Iron and smirked. "I bet they will." He said, as he jumped off of his perch. He landed on the ground, and followed the group of ponies. "I hope you don't mind if I join you. I have some time to burn." The cyan pegesus then smirked, slightly.

Strong iron held the door open for tempest. " sure. Lets all get a table together. It's been a while since I've had someone to drink with. I've missed these kind of moments for the longest time." As tempest entered, strong iron let the door shut behind him and looked for a table. When he found one open, he beckoned the others. " come friends. One of the waiters will be here shortly."

Vincent heard the old pony speking to the statue, looking up at the blades. "Magnificent... you know, there are tales in the Griffon kingdoms about how well Earth Ponies can shape and work metal... some say that you earth ponies have a magic of your own to you." he said with an honest smile. Even a stubborn Griffon would admit that Earth Ponies could craft some fine weaponry. As the man mentioned a moon drop, he smirked. A wife, I imagine. Ah, a wife.... he`d practically given up the married life when he left the Griffon Kingdom... what pony would want to marry or even date a griffon? He blinked as he saw a Pegisus landed behind the group, smirking. "and then there were four..." he mused to himself, quoteing a short story he read once. Seemed theyd formed an impromtu mob!

He looked at the table, he took a seat and relaxed, smiling to himself. He noticed the waiters jumping as they saw the Griffon at the table, and over heard, due to his better hearing (being hallf eagle and half lion), a short argument between whom would go deal with the table with a Griffon at it. He kept up a look of good cheer, smiling to himself. Looking for a distraction "So... what do you all do? I help with the clouds around here... I mean, when im not busy with courier work..." he of course already knew Iron`s occupation, but....

"Me well, i would rather not say, its really kind of confusing." he said. Crimson gazed around the room. He wasnt sure but something was wrong, the changling in him was tingling. A waiter finally came up to them. "C-can i get you something?" he asked with a tremor. "Am good" he began to feed off the waiters fear slowly reducing it. Also filling him up.

Lost thought was laid out on her back. She was resting on the roof of a pub, wondering about today's failures. She sighed and said to no one in particular, "This is why you don't mix Abhor Petals with unicorn horn fragments... You won't be able to home..." Most of the citizens of town called her a little crazy, but she was just a pony who liked to explore. Everything just seemed so simple to her. The hinges on the door, the pulley for the well, all of it just bored her. "At least I managed to grab my bag, save a few creations. It would be terrible to remake them." Not that she didn't want to, but using her hooves were so inefficient, she always dreamed of find or making something that would help her craft Items faster or even better than she already does. She sighed, "And you wonder why they call you insane..."

She thought about spending the night under the stars While her house cleared out. "I will need a weapon. I don't the diversions in my bag will suffice... and a glass wouldn't hurt either after the day I've had."

'Hmmmm... Why does the waiter have such fear in his voice.... That's strange.... Oh well' strong iron thought. " I'd like a firetongue mead please." Strong iron asked in a gentle voice. While the waiter took down his order, he spoke. " I'm an ex lieutenant of the blackhoof unit that fought in the griffon-pony war. My wife is deceased, taken by sickness ten years ago. My son, iron will, is a sergeant at fort hoax, near volcano villude. I've wished to see him... But apparently there is some kind of guardian in limestone cave now, and not one pony has ever made it out in one piece for three years... I can still fight like I used too if I'm called upon for it. But for now, I'm just a simple blacksmith... And thanks for the compliment, Vincent. I appreciate greatly. How about you traveler?" He eyed tempest. " what's your story, if you care to share it that is. I wont pry."

Tempest smirked slightly, and shrugged. "I'm just a wayward adventurer trying to find his place in the world." He said. "There's not really much to me, and I don't usually stay for very long." The cyan pegesus then glanced at the waiter. "I'd like some dragonfire rum." Tempest then turned his attention back to Strong Iron. "I'm also training to master both my mind and body. You'd be surprised when you hear of some of the things I can do. That, however, will be a surprise."

Crimson shook his head to the waiter. "Am fine" he said. He hoped no one would question his odd choice not to drink.  He leaned back in his chair. What would he say. He was a mercanary. Well broken was, so him techniclly. This shifting stuff even confused him sometimes.

((Btw the waiter was scared of the griffin.

" well... A sound soul does rest within a sound body and a sound mind... I wish you luck on you're travels friend... If you have no place to stay, then there is an inn on the far south side of Seles. The fair is cheap, and the beds are soft. But while I'm sure you can handle yourself, I would warn that since we're so far out, criminals who are on the run like to check in sometimes." He looked at crimson. " and you... Why are you so far out in Seles?"

Vincent glanced at the waiter as the young stallion turned, visibly shaking as he looked at the Griffon. "I`ll have the Pheniox Breath mead, thank you." he said simply, as the waiter quickly ran off, visibly happy to be away from the Griffon. He listened to the others speak to eachother. He simply relaxed, remaining quiet for a time. He simply sat there nd relaxed, taking in the atmosphere. This early, not many people were at this bar. It wasnt even noon yet after all. When Iron mentioned his wife being dead, he felt a pang of sympathy for the stallion.

Tempest smirked. "They'll learn to stay away from me." He said, laughing slightly. "I might actually stick with this little group, though. It's always good to have a few friends around." The cyan pegesus then sighed and relaxed. It had been a while since he had felt somewhat accepted, and he enjoyed it.

" I've seen a couple of new faces that haven't quite come around yet. Oh well. We might get to meet them in time.... You know... I received a war bulletin from my son in hoax... There are rumors going around that imperial Sandora has obtained some kind of weapon... And that it breaks the balance of power. Severely. People say that we may be attacked... But no one knows." Strong iron looked slightly grim. " and if this is true... Lohan... Hoax... Basil... And even eventually Seles may fall."

"I heard about the war brewing... thought it was just rumors though..." he said, a little worried. "if it happens... I might join up... if they`ll even let a Griffion join... what about you, Iron? With you throw your blade in as well?" He questioned the old Stallion. He sat, enjoying his drink for awhile before sighing. "Well guys, as much as id love to stay and get drunk, its a little early... I might come back again tonight if you all want to meet up again." He said, wanting to leave more because he knew he was making the staff uncomfortable.

He stepped outside, and took to the air... when he noticed a mare laying on the roof, and tilted his head. What was she doing there? He flew a little closer "Um... excuse me, miss?  Are you okay?" he asked curiously, hearing her mumled to her herself, before landing on the roof a few feet from here. "Did you get to drunk last night and ended up here?" he said, smiling jokingly,

@@TheLineTrotter,

Lost started laughing and sat up, "Good one." That had been the first real amount of humor she had heard, from any pony in this town, in a while. She continued laughing and said, "No, if I were drunk probably I wouldn't be talking to myself." She yawned and added, "The name's Lost Thought. You must not be from around here, huh?"
