"Why?" Nik stammered, stepping backward. This wasn't supposed to happen. "Seriously, Nik and I were highway men. Think about it, if I was lying, why would I put myself in such a bad light?!" Nik whimpered, falling to his knees. Nik 2 watched on, stoic as always. Nik 2 dared not act without Nik's command, not anymore

Nico saw a blur of motion enter the room and then exiting out just as fast. 'What was that?' He shook his head to clear it and then looked at Nik. He relaxed his grip on the khopesh and put it to the side, although it was still close enough for him to grab it. "You want to know why do you? This is the reason. I feel obliged to help those in need and I never believe what the perpetrator has to say unless they say it convincingly enough. If you were lying, you would put yourself in a bad light anyway, just to make it seem like it was an accident." He crossed his arms and looked Nik straight in the face.

"Dude..." Rune said, stunned. "I think we should get going, Synthia. Don't you need to pack for the trip still?" Rune said, trying to make an excuse to let the poor substitute be alone. He thought it would probably be best to let the clone be alone to mourn his dead brother. It saddened him, but he felt that it was necessary.

Synthia sighed as the Nik left. She got up and stepped closer to Rune, "Yeah, should probably pack, huh?" She just didn't sound like her heart was in it. "It helps that I didn't really unpack, so it shouldn't take too long. Let's go, Rune." She turns and walks back to their dorm.

Nik's fear was palpable now. This wasn't some easily manipulated hick, this was someone like him....no, like the Sceptile who had chopped off his tail and brought him to the brink of death. 

 

""N-no, please, I swear, i'm telling the truth, I've got no family, err, I've got a family I mean" Nik babbled, hoping that his begging would work. If it didn't Nik had only one option left

Synthia sighed as the Nik left. She got up and stepped closer to Rune, "Yeah, should probably pack, huh?" She just didn't sound like her heart was in it. "It helps that I didn't really unpack, so it shouldn't take too long. Let's go, Rune." She turns and walks back to their dorm.

Rune followed closely behind Synthia. He felt a bit blue himself after the incident with Nik's clones. It really was quite saddening. Hopefully, though, the camping trip and fireworks could get his mind off of it. Watching explosions tended to be very therapeutic for some reason. When they arrived at the dorm, rune just laid back on his bed and started reading, wait for Synthia to be completely ready.

"You're telling the truth huh? If you are, then if i catch one slip up from you, just one, then that will mean an instant battle with me. Doesn't matter about the rules or place or time. If I catch you doing something terrible, then you'll have me to answer to. If you don't mind, I'm going to get some food." He grabbed his khopesh and headed over to the cafeteria. He grabbed a few things then went outside to eat on the grass.

Nik gulped but slapped himself

 

"Father, why didn't you fight?" Nik 2 questioned, helping Nik up. Nik shot his spawn a venomous look. 

 

"Daddy knows when to fight. I will only fight him with a handicap, either more of your siblings or a physical wound" Nik muttered, retracting the claws he had made. He had been preparing the slice out his adversary's eyes, but that wasn't necesarry now

It didn't take her long, and when she did finish she slid into his bed next to him to read the book over his shoulders. She didn't think he'd mind. He hadn't the night before, though she had went to bed later and woken before he did, just in case. He was a good snuggler in his sleep.

He said, marking his spot in the book and standing up. He slung his backpack on, carrying his sleeping bag and tent with it. He waited by the door for Synthia to grab her things so they could go by Koh's dorm and check on them.

She mumbled something about wanting more time in bed and grabbed her things. Stretching, she exited and waited outside for him to lead the way. She didn't know what dorm Kohl and Lolita were in, or even if they were in the same dorm. She was curious as to how this shindig would play out.

Nik recovered from his shock and told his spawn to stay hidden. Such a good child, unlike the disobedient one from earlier. Nik teleported to Melissa. 

 

"Okay then, how do you plan to train me? Nik asked, doing a few stretches to get ready. He was ready....so as long as the Absol gjinka didn't come knocking

"You're here! That's great! Now how do I plan to train you ..." Melissa began to pace around the gym and noticed how huge it was. She stretched and loosened herself up. "Okay. Since I specialise in Speed, I'm going to try and help you become faster then you are now." She thought her plan a bit more. Jogging in place she said, "Do you think you can hit me while I'm running?" With that, she started to run circles around Nik. She wasn't using her moves yet.

Nik blinked and stuck out his tail, hoping to trip her. He comboed into a Teleport, just in case she hadn't tripped and delivered a hook kick. Nik knew he wasn't really using his speed, but who cared? He was learning how to take on fast pokemon and gjinkas

Melissa saw Nik stick out his tail and deftly jumped over it but she wasn't expecting Nik to use Teleport and hook kick her. She fell over and slid to a stop. Getting up she saw that she was bruised where Nik had kicked her. "Not bad NIk. Not bad at all." She flashed a grin and used Aqua Jet to lend her speed. She twisted on the spot and launched herself at him in a moving body of water.

Nik's fists glowed white and he punched the Aqua Jet. While his Ice Punch was too weak to freeze any living creature, it was more than powerful enough to freeze water. After freezing the Aqua-Jet, Nik's tail slapped the icy cone away and into the wall with a loud thud

Melissa felt the water freeze around her and she tried to punch it but then she crashed against the wall. Wiping some shards from her face, she put her fingers in a gun shape and fired Water Gun. Still blasting water with one hand, she concentrated the palm of her other hand to fire an Ice Beam. Now, a solid block of ice was racing towards Nik.

Nik teleported again, reappearing in the air above Melissa. He used the ethereal wings to keep himself air-borne and began charging Hyper Beam. It was ludicrously over charged and would probably miss, but Nik had a plan to make it hit. Melissa would never see it coming

Seeing Nik Teleport made her stop using her Ice Beam/Water Gun combo. Looking around, she tried to spot him. Seeing that he wasn't anywhere in the gym she looked up. She saw Nik. And he was charging a Hyper Beam. Quickly jumping up she use Aqua Jet to go around behind him. She had a perfect opening. She fired Ice Beam at Nik's back.

Nik cringed as the beam hit his back, knocking him to the floor. It'd be worth it. He got up and then teleported, grabbing Melissa's arms from behind.

 

"Dodge this" Nik smirked, his mouth opening and firing the beam point blank into Melissa's back, the explosion kicking up dust

Melissa fell to the ground when the beam hit her back. She landed face first and managed to get up into a sitting position. She coughed up a bit of blood. Wiping it from her mouth, she looked up at Nik.

"Thanks for that blast. Now try to dodge this." Seeing Nik covered in dust, she quickly used Aqua Ring to help heal herself and then used Aqua Jet to blast her way to Nik.

"I have no intention of dodging it" Nik laughed, letting her slam the attack into his chest. He was pushed back and winded, but it was also putting her into position.

 

His tail whipped out, coiling her face and mouth. It glowed as it began draining energy with the super effective Giga-Drain

A sharp stinging pain caused her to look down. Melissa's eyes widened in fear when she saw Nik's tail coiling around her neck and mouth. Struggling to get her mouth open, she bit down on the part of Nik's tail that she could and at the same time, Melissa fired an Ice Beam at Nik.

"AGH! SON OF A MOTH-!" Nik managed to shriek before the ice beam slammed him against the ceiling, freezing his limbs. At least it had done a small amount of damage, thanks to Giga-Drain. Nik pulled free, using the ice still coating his limbs as boxing gloves to slam Melissa to the ground

Melissa coughed up some more blood when she hit the floor. Getting up, she saw that there were ice shards everywhere. She placed Water Gun on the ground and then fired Ice Beam. Using both of these moves together, they created a track that Melissa could skate on. Skating around the track, she managed to use Aqua Ring to restore some of her stamina. Changing directions, she placed the track all the way up to Nik and, getting enough momentum going, she raced all the way to Nik and punched him in the face. Hard.

Nik was pushed back, but kept enough sense about him to wrap his tail around her out-stretched fist, reeling himself back in. Using the momentum of his charge,  Nik slammed his head into the bridge of Melissa's nose. The hardest part of Nik's head met the softest of Melissa's
