It's started to seem like a better idea for me to submit my ideas out there before I go forward with any sort of fanfic project. Honestly, when I looked at MLP and realized I wanted to a do a fanfic for the fandom, I thought it would be easy.

 

Boy, was I wrong. Those people at EQ D gave me a wake up call.

 

So I've come up with a new idea.

 

Pony Puppet Panic (Or Triple P, for short) is an idea that came to my head just the other day as I was watching the Muppets. I want it to be structured like an episode, with the story being split into two halves.

 

The premise is as follows. Pinkie Pie invites just about everypony to a big puppet show that she's holding, but when she gets to Rarity, she's met with opposition because Rarity believes making a show out of sock puppets would just be shoddy and boring. She agrees to go anyway, but once the show is over, she dictates all the things that Pinkie could have done different, causing her and Sweetie Belle to get into an argument over whether it was really good or not. Sometime during all this, Rarity accidentally rips the sock puppet Pinkie Pie made in her likeness, and when she offers to fix it, Sweetie Belle and her get into a tug-of-war of magic over who can do a better job of fixing it, before they cause a magical backlash that completely envelops Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Applejack.

 

When the dust has cleared, the three of them have somehow become fused with the puppets Pinkie Pie created to represent them. So it's up to Sweetie Belle and Pinkie Pie to find Twilight and figure out how to turn their friends back to normal. Throughout all this, Rarity continues to criticize all of Pinkie Pie's handiwork, only to learn by the end that she was being a bad friend by just throwing criticism at Pinkie Pie as opposed to actually trying to help her with her designs.

 

That's the basic jist of it, and opinions would be appreciated. I figure I'm going to start writing this weekend and try to get it edited a lot until it's suitable enough to be submitted and hopefully accepted by the people at EQ D.

I would read it.

 

Although in the interest of not blowing the story, next time you submit an idea like this you should stick to just the basic premise, for example:

'Rarity, AJ, and dash get turned into puppets and it's up to Pinkie and Sweetie belle to find a way to change them back.'

Short, simple, to the point, and it makes potential readers want to know what happens.
