gaming Favorite Classic Game Commercials

This thread is mostly for those that grew up in the 80's and 90's, when game commercials were almost always goofy and over-the-top.

What're your favorite commercials for games around this time period

One of my favorites is the Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage commercial. Ironically, it is holiday themed.

 

 

There is also this awesome commercial for Pokemon Red and Blue, it is a classic as well.

 

 

So violent, but sums up the game perfectly.

I did like the Spyro commercial, though, even though he's been downgraded to Skylanders nowadays (Which is a damn shame)

Around this point, Nintendo was becoming more self-aware

But, yeah, Mario just trips over Yoshi and they all start throwing a hissy fit XD Never gets old.

Apparently, Ace Combat 4 went overboard with cutting out footage or not using establishing shots.

Technically this was showed in 2001, but I think this one sort of counts, too XD

I mean, they just stop in the middle of the match to watch some kid play Majora's Mask.

I was not alive when the commercial aired, it wasn't even shown in America (that I know of). But my favorite commercial has to be for the original Mother. There's just something so powerful about it, like they knew this game was truly something special. A guaranteed masterpiece indeed.
