Overrated Fics YOU Wrote (for any fandom)?

Did you ever write a fanfic (for any fandom) that everyone liked, and you just don't understand why?

 

A couple years ago I wrote a Phineas and Ferb alt universe series called The Bitterness Trilogy. The people on the site it was originally on loved it...and the first two books got featured on the front page! But nowadays when I try to read it...I cringe. It was a huge stepping stone for me, but I could write so much better now (The story has potential, it just needs better writing)

Anyway, I have never written an overrated fanfiction. I normally just write trollfics when i'm bored and put them on FIMfiction and watch the world burn.

Of course. I wrote a Lord of the Rings fanfiction five years ago that involved the most enormous, flaming Mary Sue of all time. She had flawless skin, thick black hair that fell to her waist, and a giant golden wolf as a pet. 

 

I read it every now and then to give me the giggles, and also to encourage myself that I have progressed SO much.

I wrote one fanfiction, for TF2 actually. It wasn't bad, but my writing needs refining. I hate describing things, that reflected, It's practically a four page fanfiction that could be a novella if done right.

I wrote a Transformers shipping fic once. It was literally shipping though xD. Like, literally, Starscream was shipped across the ocean by Tidal Wave. It became slightly popular xD.

I always used to write quite a few Halo fanfics based around my characters.  One of the ones I wrote (now mind you, it has a lot of mistakes and things I wish to take out, but otherwise I liked it) was a Halo fanfic based around my character, Gavin and how he becomes a Spartan and stuff.  I didn't know a lot about Halo then so there were obviously mistakes, but a lot of people liked the story moral and story itself.

Back when I still wrote fanfiction, I wrote a Pokemon shipping/adventure story called Feuded Love. At the time, people seemed to like it, enough so that when I finished the original I had the "brilliant idea" to write a sequel. Looking back on both now, I can't help but shake my head and wonder what the hell I was thinking. Multiple plot holes, no sense of character motivation and countless spelling errors are just some of the things that makes me wonder why people are still favoriting it to this day despite the fact that I haven't written anything for it in over three years.

I wrote, as-of-writing, the most popular Big Macintosh/Rarity story on FIMfiction.net. (Not the highest rated, but the superlative has a pretty narrow band of competition in regards to the whole Big Macintosh thing.)

 

It's a partial regret that I never finished it nor intend to.
