Famine growled a little (She might not be a diamond dog but her wielder was one for so long and then she had the body of one and lived with them, so she does behave like one) and gave a little huffy "mmph" and continued to refuse to speak to him. She made the hilt of the sword shift away from him as if she was turning her back on him.

 

Lightwing was able to hear her Spear speaking toward Famine, his tone was mocking, "you know it only makes sense that he would need another sword, you're a 'finesse weapon' right? He actually wants something that can kill, and not just play silly games."

 

Famine hated to let her brother's words get to her but they did. She turned even more bitter and angry. The Sun Sword sensed her emotions and started to try and radiate calm and peace. That was the last straw for her, she snapped at the sword, "Don't you t-try to console me! Y-y-you oversized butter knife!"

 

The spear just laughed at his sisters outburst, enjoying the moment all the more.

The sun shard on Shadow's forehoof felt the Sun Sword's influencing waves of calm and peace; it responded by starting to radiate it's own feelings of calm and peace. The two sun shards in concert with one another increased the power so that everyone on the boat could feel it.

Luna's embarrassment faded as the calmness flowed over her, instead she just smiled, "you'd do that? The cot's aren't that big, I wouldn't want you to have to wake up Astrid,and I don't want you to sleep on the floor but us sharing a cot might be a bit more uncomfortable and when they come to wake us... I'd rather not let rumors circulate about something innocent..." She let the sentence linger still somewhat embarrassed and glad for the feelings of peace negating the majority of it.

Lightwing could hear the spear mocking at Famine.She knew that what the spear was doing was bad,but,when she started to think more about it...She had reached the conclusion that the spear was right...

"What's going on?I would never agree with that kind of mocking..."

She talked again to the spear,but she knew that the spear wouldn't hear her if she didn't called it "Your Majesty",so...

"Ok...Your Majesty ,i have a question for you,why do you hate that Sw,,,er,,,Famine,yeah.Why do you hate Famine?"

Conquest was happy that Lightwing had addressed him appropriately, even if he wasn't sure how sincere she meant it, but his response sounded shocked and offended, "hate her? I don't hate Famine, she's my sister, I love her..." He voice paused giving thought on how to answer, "She just offends me, the way she behaves, it's illogical and inappropriate for beings of our grand power and importance. She needs to learn her place and act more like a legendary weapon and less like a stupid dog." His voice was full of contempt at the end. It took a lighter tone as he said, "I also like to remind her that I'm better than her every once in a while. All my siblings need to be reminded that every once in a while."

Lightwing excused herself with the spear

"Sorry.I didn't knew that she was your sister..."
She looked again at Embers,who was talking with the sword.If Embers was that crazy,only Celestia could imagine how crazy was the spirit who inhabited the sword

"It's curious.She's your sister,but she doesn't seem as calm as you,you know?"

The spear didn't responded...

"you know?...Your Majesty "

This time,the spear responded

Conquest ignored Lightwing's question at first waiting for her to properly address him again. Which she was quick to do, this pleased him she seemed to be learning pretty quick. "It's fine my young esquire, you couldn't have been expected to know she was my sister. As for why she is the way she is, I guess it's not her fault. Her powers make her relationship with her wielder far more symbiotic, while I remain independent. You see her power results in her stealing or at least copying memories, behavior, thoughts of her wielder. She a messy accumulation of identities, memories and swirling thoughts, madness incarnate. Though it's also her fault cause she never lets any of them go, those remnants of her past users. She could let the past go but she's too afraid to, she doesn't want to forget or lose her past 'friends' and she doesn't even remember who she used to be without all that swirling round in her head."

 

Famine was shivering now, rattling around in her sheath, "S-s-shut up, s-shut up, shut up!"

 

Conquest continued, "the worst part is she gives back just like she takes, sharing memories and behaviors just like she takes. It's slowly builds up in her wielders, makes them slowly more and more crazy. On top of that she's taken to liking wielders that are already crazy and the sharing just drives them both more insane! She does it so she can pretend she isn't the one that makes them go mad. Embers will become more and more crazy until all he knows is suffering, just like that little dog she likes to pretend was her best friend but in the end begged and begged her to end the thoughts, to end the madness, to let her sleep forever instead, to let her die! That's what disgusts me, soon she'll be nothing but a swirl of dead user's thoughts that drives anyone that touches her to instant madness and despair; not a legendary weapon but a curse!!"

 

Famine was sobbing into Embers mind now, the spears words cutting her deep and painfully to her very core, "SHUT UP CONQUEST!! SHUT UP! Y-YOU'RE A M-M-MONSTER! WHY DON'T YOU T-TELL HER WHAT YOU'LL DO TO H-HER! HOW YOU'LL MANIPULATE HER, MAKE HER YOUR LITTLE PUPPET! HOW YOU'LL MAKE HER D-DANCE ONLY TO YOUR TUNE! Y-Y-YOU HEARTLESS B-BASTARD!!!" Her outburst settled into weak weeping occasionally broken by deep sobs.

 

Conquest responded in a cold and stately manner, "now that's just uncalled for sister, no need to spread lies about me when I only speak the truth about you. I merely let those that meet me see my greatness and they understand the need to serve me. No need to be a female dog... What's that called? Oh right a bitc-"

 

Famine screamed, a piercing shriek of rage that tore through not only Embers mind but through the mind of everyone on the boat and filled them with a thundering throbbing pain.

 

(Man, while that really hit on rough patch between Conquest and Famine, they really don't get along. In fact most of the four siblings don't get along. Some animosities run deep.)

Steel smiled "of curse I would Luna and I don't ind sleeping on the floor go ahead and sleep on the cot" steel said then Steel winced as the pain hit he grit his teeth and spawn actually pushed it away steel was confused by this bit didn't care as the pain was ended he wondered if it happened to Luna to

Astrid woke up he head throbbing "daddyyyyyy" she cried steel rushed to her side and picked her up rocking her

Whisper had quietly walked away from Wanderlust and settled under a tarp that was still mostly intact. She kept hearing small voices emanating from Embers and Lightwings weapons but she couldn't catch them clearly. Maybe she wasn't on the right frequency yet.

 

She laid her head on the railing of the boat looking out and over the inky black water. Whisper really had no idea what had happened between her and Wanderlust but she supposed to give it some time.

 

"Hmph" Whisper cringed and buried her face between her fore-hooves when Famine let out her screech.

At the sudden sharp screaming pain Luna's knees buckled and she collapsed. Gritting and grinding her teeth she forced herself to focus and to use her magic to lessen the for the fillies and Astrid.

 

As suddenly as the pain had begun it ended, she was on the ground trembling. She squeezed her eyes shut and slowly collected herself. Raising to her hooves she remarked to Steel, "By all the elements, what was that? Did something just attack us?" She felt wetness on her lips and wiped her hoof across her face, it came away crimson what ever it had been had given her a nose bleed.

The sun shard on shadow's forehoof was letting the feeling if it's sadness drift into his mind, it had been hurt as well but was more concerned with his pain and the pain of others. It sent the image of rain without clouds on a sunny day and then tried to send him soothing.

Wanderlust decided to head over to Whisper to confront her about what had happened while she had been controlled by nature. His legs were unsteady and he tilted back me forth with the boat as he inched his way over. He had finally gotten to her when the pain hit, like his head was full of broken glass. Combined with the sea sickness he was already feeling it was too much he was barely able to turn his head away from Whisper and over the edge of the ship as he vomited.

Astird fell asleep with a few whimpers steel laid her down and went over to Luna "are you okay Luna" steel asked he pulled out a rag and held it to her nose stemming the flow he hoped she was okay

Grell cringed at the pain in his head but it soon faded and he sighed

Shadow was concerned by what this Sunshard was doing for him, more-so than the pain's sting. he hadn't done anything in order for this act of kindness, then again Shadow wasn't very concerned by the idea of friendship before. You don't have to do that, I've... Gone through enough pain to not be... Concerned by it. In truth the short moment of pain was close to his limit, but he had to stay strong.

 

In his mind he showed the shard giving him energy, or soothing, before he stopped and gave it back, willingly. "What in the name of Chaos was that!?"

Embers fell over sideways "Dear god, could you please just shut the heck up?" He said as he stared at his sword, then turned his eyes to lightwing with a glare, his eyes like fire "Well then, I guess im just going to take a walk around the boat..." He said as he grabed his sword, and ran away

Maybe Embers was hearing the fight,but Lightwing could hear the spear's thoughts too on her mind,and then,she saw that Embers was...Angry,and that he left her alone

She ran towards Embers and tried to reason with him

"I saw on your eyes anger,towards me.Don't be angry with me!!I'm not saying that bad things about you!"

But on her mind,she was thinking another thing

But maybe the spear is right...Urgh!!Don't let him control you,Light!

Embers frowned at her "I dont care if it was you lightwing, you and the spear are the same, It can get into your head, I can see it in your eyes. I dont care if it drains every last bit of my sanity, I have no use for it anymore" He said as he turned away, walking down the side of the ship to the next floor

Lightwing then frowned and turned Embers back,just to look at him

"Embers,i just only know that this thing is alive since 20 minutes ago,and if you think that i'll let this stupid spirit to enter my mind,or even control it,you're wrong."

She tried to throw the spear away,but it magically came back,and crashed on Lightwing's head

"Even if I want to,i can't throw it away.It'll come back!!"

She looked at him again

"Embers,you'll think that this thing will drive me insane,but,trust me.."

She standed herself at two hooves,and hitted her body

"I'll not let this spirit to control me and,much less,to harm you"

Embers glared at lightwing "Oh? Dont lie to me, I know you think that MY sword as gotten to my head, and trust me, it has, but I dont even care" He said as he took a step away from lightwing "I understand what she thinks, and it will be better then your spear ever does, at least my thing lives for the same thing I do"

She gave Embers a glare,and then she took a step away

"That sword doesn't control you.I can see it through your eyes."

She looked again at the spear

"Do you see what are these two doing?That fight that they have is against them,but they're turning it into a battle between us.If you let their battle to affect to our friendship,then..."

She points to the spear again

"He'll win.He'll be repeating from all the eternity that you're only a puppet.But if we wanna show him that he's wrong,we have to ignore their fight.That doesn't concern to any of us..."

Embers smirked at her "I dont really care if I am a puppet, as long as im having fun, and that's what this" He pointed down at his sword "Is all about, she is crazy, yes, but just as crazy as I am" He said with a shake of his head "Im done here" He said as he walked away

"Embers Jerome Whitucker!!(Dunno why I've wrote that name )I don't wanna to break our friendship for a stupid fight between those two.And you have to know somwthing before leaving me here alone..."

She looked at him

"I love you..."

She left him alone,and walked far away,because she had enought of fighting and fighting...

...

She sat on the floor,while holding the spear

"I don't know why,but,after all that you have done,i can't really hate you..."

She talked again to the spear,on her mind

"Your Majesty..."

This time,she said it so naturally,that a part of her freaked out,but she didn't botherwd nothing on it

"I'll repeat the question again...Who are you exactly,and why I'm starting to think like...you..."

The sun shard gave a little burst of confusion as it didn't understand his thoughts in words again. But gave happy warmth at the image of what it thought of as them sharing energy, it didn't quite understand what he was asking though, so it assumed that what it had done before hadn't been enough and suddenly flooded him with energy.

The Spear gave a little snort, "after all you said back there to him, you expect me to be buddy buddy with you? No. You might have some potential, I'll admit I see it in you now my esquire but you have to know your place. I'm not saying anything until you apologize."

She took a deep

breath internally,and,trying to not sound mean,she started to say

The spear responded with a blue flash of energy

Famine's voice was quite and tiny, like a sad guilty child about to get punished, "I-I-I'm sorry I f-freaked out... M-my b-brother was saying really mean things a-about me... And t-they're t-true. I-I'm s-sorry I'm g-going to make you lose you m-m-mind. T-thank you for s-sticking up for me."

Conquest was very pleased with her response and he let her feel his smugness, "you know my squire, I'll make a knight out you yet." He paused considering or perhaps for dramatic effect, "I guess you are worthy enough for me to share a small tiny bit of my great knowledge with. My name is LORD Conquest, I am one of the four legendary weapons that will bring about the end of the world. You should be very, very, very honored to serve me. As for why you are starting to think like I do is that my very presence reveals my greatness and those who wield me learn the truth and upon knowing my greatness begin to see things correctly, like I do. It is my grand ability, those that I strike see the truth of my cause and know there own folly in opposing me. Many collapse to there knees and swear undying loyalty to me!"

Luna let Steel wipe away the blood and seeing that Astrid was asleep again she leaned in and kissed him, "thank you, Steel. It seems like everything is calm upstairs so I guess we're not under attack... I'm feeling a little light headed and tired now though, I think I'm going to sleep and find out what that was when I wake." She went and laid on the cot getting comfortable, she yawned sleepily and closed her eyes, she whispered, "it tis a good night and I love you Steel."

Lightwing make him shut up for a moment,to order everything that the weapon told to her

"Wait wait wait....Let's see if I understand all this,Conquest...

You're like the spirit of truth,who can reveal the truth even on the darkest. places...

You're one of the four legendary weapons,and your sister,the maniac,is too one of them,so...There's still two legendary weapons through the world,right?"

She sneaked through a little hole,to see Embers talking to the sword

"And a last thing...If what you said is true,what is Famine going to do to Embers?"
