And by vectoring, I vector my own stuff.

 I'm still pretty new at digital art so I usually sketch on paper then transfer it my computer and make it digital. What program do you use for vectoring.

I do what you said, but lately I've been just drawing on the computer.

And I use Adobe Illustrator to vector. I use Photoshop to make the sketch and do other stuff if my vector needs such things.
