open Oh Horrors! It's Murder!

Golden was about to look over the body once more, to see if they missed anything, then the lights turned off. She tried not to panic. She hated the dark but she hated enclosed spaces even more. With an effort, she lit up her horn but she couldn't maintain it for long. Before her vision dimmed and she fainted from over-exerting herself, she thought she saw something but it was too far away to make it out.

Doctor Vanderveer ran over once again to turn on the lights. The doctor turned on the lights and gasped at what he saw. Light was dead, on the floor, with a puncture wound in his chest. He had been murdered. The killer had struck again.

Golden woke up to find the lights switched back on with Detective Light dead. Trying to hold back tears she inspected his body and found a puncture wound the size of a pencil. Curiously inspecting it, she noticed the pencil had a dull edge again.

"Listen up! The murderer has struck again but with a different target. He wasn't evended being subtle at this point. He just threw it straight into the chest. So, I want everybody to know that I will e lead Detective on the case. Everyone got that?"

 

(OOC: That is what's happening right? Golden is now taking over the case?)

Turns his attention over to the now dead Doctor, not surprised but now worried. This killer is fast and could strike easily at any moment. He puts his back to the wall, not wanting anything to gain the upper hand as his eyes return to scanning the room hoping to get out of here before the killer takes a shot at him.

When the lights came back on, Guardian was met with a terrible sight. The detective that just got done talking to him was now lying on the ground dead. He heard the other detective announce he is going to lead the investigation but something he said struck Guardian as odd, "How do you known it was thrown?"

Astral looked at the dead detective. He was nervous just like the last, until the voice popped into his head. "Come on, don't just stand there!You can't be wimp like this all night, do something!" The voice yelled at him, that nobody else could hear. "What can I do, I am not a detective!" He called back to it in his head, he was starting to think he was going insane. "You can try," the voice responded. That was the most cheesy piece of advice he heard, and yet something how the most helpful to him.

Dead as a doornail was Light Streak, the humble detective. With the person who had the idea do who the murderer was now dead, how would the other detective react? Would she put the clues together? Would she unveil the murderer? We will find out soon... Quite soon...

Golden walked over to who she assumed was Guardian and answered his question. "I know it was thrown because when the lights went out I managed to do a simple light spell. Before I fainted I saw someshing. I didn't know what it was until I saw the pencil in the Detective's body. Is there anything else you would like to know?

"Well, I'm no detective, but something just does not add up." Guardian replied to the detective. How could the killer pinpoint the exact location of the point on the detectives body to get a one shot lethal kill. Then an idea came to mind. "For the killer to accurately hit his or her target, he would need a faint light, and that's what you did. Also by not making a sound when throwing the projectile, it must have been held up by magic."

Guardian had said that the killer may have been a unicorn. Although he may have wanted to the shift the blame from him. There's no Detective Light to help so she was on her own.

Doctor Johann Vanderveer stepped out front from the position he was at. He stepped close to this other detective. He was shocked that Light had died, as well, but if this other detective needed his help, he was ready to give it. "What do you require of me?" Asked the Doctor.

"I need to ask you a few questions, if that's alright with you. Actually, no, I just want to know if you noticed anything when the lights went out." She needed to what he saw so that she determine if the murderer was in fact a unicorn. If it wasn't then she'll have to rethink her plan.

"I saw a faint light, and a pencil being hurled. However, I did hear you thinking it was a unicorn, but I doubt it. I saw wings flapping in the light, I think. So it is more likely a pegasus or gryphon." Said the Doctor. "I hope that help you, detective." Said Doctor Vanderveer.

"That's insightful. Thank you." She updated her notes and reasons that it was Hunter who did it but she's got to be absolutely sure first. Walking over to Squeaky Clean, she asked a question. "Did you see anything when the lights went out for a second time?"

Squeaky said more confidently than ever before, "I agree with Doctor Vanderveer. I saw wings fluttering, but I personally don't know whether that points to the guilt of a gryphon or pegasus. It may be a unicorn due to the light, but I really don't know." Said Squeaky.

"You think it could be a griffin, Pegasus or a unicorn?" Now she's more confused than ever before. She'll have to talk to the other suspects again.

Walking up to Hunter, she asked "I know I keep saying this but I want to know if you saw anything when the lights went out."

"Look on the bright side, you can cross out all Earth Ponies." Said Squeaky, trying to lighten the mood as best as she could at the current moment in time. "I would most look to the pegasus or gryphons, but unicorns aren't out of the question." Cleared Saueaky.

"Sorry, can't say that I did. Griffon eyes were never the best in dark spaces. But I did overhear the magic idea and I can get behind that, of course it could also be a Pegasus, they always seem to be able to glide around without a hint of detection from anyone else. And as long as you knew where you're target was and it wasn't moving, you wouldn't even need to see where you were aiming, that's an old hunting trick my father taught me."

Golden started to cross out various Earth ponies off her list. "A pony that can use magic, but can also fly ... that would either be an Alicorn or Changeling and neither of them are here. Are they?"

 

(OOC: that is question is as much for Hunter as it is for me. I'm very confused as to what species the suspects are.)

((OOC: I'm implying that the suspect is either a unicorn, gryphon, or unicorn, not an earth pony, nor an alicorn or changeling. The suspects species are as follows:

Hunter: Gryphon

Guardian Angel: Earth Pony

Doc Volt: Pegasus

Astral: Unicorn

Squeaky Clean: Unicorn

I hope this helps in clearing things up a bit for the both of you. ))

"Now a changeling monster us, that would be scary. But I guess I misspoke, I meant to say a Unicorn or a Pegasus. Unless your princesses really didn't like the professor. But I guess they could have thought of a much better way to kill him."

"I don't think the princesses have any grudge against the professor. Thanks for the help." Revising her list, she scratched off Squeaky's name and Guardian Angel's name. She's going to leave Doc Volt for last as he seems the most unstable. 'The next suspect would be Astral.'

Astral mood had completely changed, it was almost like he was different stallion. He seemed a lot calm and collective, then he was before. His mind was set on a goal, to help figure out who done it. Well alright it was all fake, all expect for the part about wanting help find out find who done it. He was only tricking him really, and even then he was only halfway on believing it. "Well I don't know, the specif location of it, however the one who did it, probably has it hidden, or might still have it with them."  He said trying to his best to keep up the act.

"Well I didn't see that much really," he answered honestly, while looking at the detective. He notice she seemed confused about something, and so he asked her if something was wrong. He didn't know why she looked that way, maybe it was something he said or done. Although he didn't know what he might have done, maybe she believed the act. So it caught her off guard or something, he really didn't know
