"Umm OK," Astral said quietly to himself. Well that was unexpected, really unexpected. He hoped didn't get off on the wrong foot, after the way she went on that little rant. He began to lower his head, so he could looked at the ground. Why did he have to be so weird, and do all of this crazy stuff. "Why can't I just be normal?" He quietly asked himself.

Volt didn't listen a single word about the interrogations... he just stared at the paiting the whole time.. he then notuced the inspector talking to him

 

".. oh.. i'm sorry sir... my mind... i am so confused... i just can't stop thinking about what happened... and the end of my dream.... about the light... i've been here for whole the time... ad after staing in a room with lot of lights eyes need times to adapt to the obscurity again... that basically mean that even if usually i can locate myself  in a room... i haven't seen anything... i'm sorry... "sir, how can i remotely know? i never saw it with my eyes! how can i know where it is now? proably hidden somewhere or the bastard.... sorry.. i mean the murder... still have it with him... maybe you should check everypony's suits and pockets... but i don't think he could be so stupid.. oh well.. maybe he is... after all.. he killed maybe the only pony that never did something wrong in his life... by the way you can start checking from me... i got nothing to hide... i'm sorry sir, i wish i could know where it is and i wish i could be of more help.. i wasn't there saving my friend and now i can't even help finding the son of a dirty mare that killed him"

"Doctor, can you please calm down. It's okay and thank you for the suggestion of checking everypony's coat pockets. Mind if I check you over?" She cast the X-Ray spell over him and there wasn't anything that looked like the Jewel but she could see that his heart was beating rather fast. "Okay. You actually do need to calm otherwise you're going to suffer a heart attack." She left him to try and calm himself down and walked over to where Squeaky Clean and the Curator were.

"Are you sure you wish to use us?" questioned Squeaky. "We should let the suspects make accusations on who they believe the murderer is before we tell you who we think." Said Squeaky.

((OOC: A suspect accusation is where each of the suspects give who they think the killer is, and explain why. After the accusations, the detective can make the call.))

"Now that you mention it, I should let the suspects put out their own accusations huh? I'll do that now." She nodded her thanks and headed to whoever was first on her list. It just happened to be Doc Volt.

Volt looked to te detective "uh? me?... well... i'd hate to have to point my hoof over somepony that maybe is totally innocent.. this is the worst thing.. but if i have to.... ugm... i think that pony over there"

"yeah yeah don't ask me why i think so... i just said that because is the pony who is acting the most weird way possible. but you see.. i don't blame him: we are all shocked, and me too as  you stated many times, i'm tring to calm down now by the way, yes that's it.. everypony seem to not having anything to do with that alet or with the poor doctor. I would just focus on Pegasus, Griffons and unicorns by the way, i mean.. the light wasn't out for much time, and the murder had to be real fast to murder my friend and steal the amulet; maybe an unicorn can do both thing with magic, maybe a pegasus is fast enough, i don't know. Oh yes, that include me on the list aswell, but i am used to this"

"He seems to be the one acting the strangest to the recent turn of events. For example, he instantly tried to turn accusations on someone else the second after the first murder had occurred and showed his fangs, so to speak, in hopes to throw us off his scent. Secondly, he said he had a photograph sent to him by the professor but when asked all he had was a hoof drawn picture at his plant.  Finally, he seems to be the one with the most to gain from these murders. But that's just what I've overheard."

"Sorry about that Hunter. I didn't know that he had tried to accuse somepony right off the bat. I'm just going to talk to the others and wrap this case up before we all lose our minds." Chuckling a bit in embarrassment, she headed over to Guardian Angel.

Squeaky Clean shakily stood up, attempting to avoid glancing at the dead bodies nearby. Even thinking about them made her nervous. In order to calm herself down, she decided to wander around the room, rather aimlessly, waiting for the case to be solved.

 Astral looked up, and met the detective's eyes. He paused for a moment, before realizing that he really didn't have enough information to do so. He searched his mind in a hurry looking for anything that would help him make his decision. Nothing came up, and he was left in a awkward situation. He couldn't just sit here, and not give her a answer. He then decided he might as well tell her the truth, or else they would be here all night. "I umm, really don't know, how to answer that cause I really, wasn't paying attention to anypony." He said honestly while looking very nervous, and his face turning crimson.

Doctor Vanderveer stood up and walked to the detective. He told her plain and simply "it was either Hunter or Doctor Volt. Both had what it takes to commit a murder like this. You can at least narrow it down to those two." Said Doctor Vanderveer.

"Before I say who the killer is, I would like to point out the evidence. First, when the lights went out I had accidentally given him some light to see by. That made it much easier to kill the detective. Second, I didn't see any other unicorn magic aside from my own so that rules Astral and Squeaky Clean out. Third, most of the evidence suggests that it was done by a Pegasus or a griffin. The reason being is because they both fly silently and have amazing accuracy. I highly doubt that Doctor Volt did it because he hasn't been in a right state of mind to begin with. Although that could have been an act. Nevertheless, I accuse Hunter of murdering the detective and Doc Volt of murdering the Professor. Hunter said himself that Griffin can't see well in the dark. Doc Volt told us of drawing he did when we asked him about a photograph of the Jewel of Audit and he had the most motive out of all of you to murder the Professor."

"Strike one." Came a dark voice, obviously that of the killer. "You really think I would have more than one person to do this. How childish." Said the voice. "The evidence is good, sure, but alas, you've got it wrong. Do try again." Said the voice before letting out a cackle.

Tonight had been one of Astral's worst. He wanted this all to end, and never speak to anypony about it. When he heard the voice he would normally be start freaking out, however he felt more annoyed by it. Now that he thought about the voice just let slip a little detail, well serial to be precises about it. That wasn't he place to step in though, he wasn't a detective just a suspect. Sure he had read a few mystery novels, and even managed to predict the killer in a few of them. However that did not give him the right to call himself a detective, let alone help out with solving a real life murder mystery. Add to the fact the detective didn't seem very found of him in the first place, and he was convinced he shouldn't step in.

 

He wasn't feeling all that, and right about now he wanted to do one of two things. He wanted to bang his head against a wall until he passed, or drink some hard cider to the same extend. He didn't really care that he was underage, and that he didn't really the stuff in the first place. Right about now he could use anything to forget about tonight, even if it wasn't over yet. Yet something told him he had to wait, until after the case was solved to do any of those things. Oh Joy, this was going to be a long night wasn't it.

Strike one? What did that mean? Okay then. She figured that Strike One meant that she had two more chances to figure out the killer before he/she does, something.

"Okay then, if Hunter or Doctor Volt isn't the killer then who could it be ...." She thought whol the killler was some more and then came up with something. "Astral, before the lights went for the second time, you were humming and making frantic gestures in the air. After they came back on, you had stopped doing that and suddenly became more serious. Why is that?"

Tonight had just gotten worse, he really didn't want to answer the detective's question. Yet something told him he had to, and that if didn't he would become more suspicious. "I tricked himself, into believing, I was a sort hero. You know, like the ones who are always brave, and calm even in very tense high risk situations."  He said very quietly in hopes that only the detective would hear him. "It's alright if you want to laugh at me, go ahead let it all out now." He said in the same volume as before, but in a much more sadder tone. The night seemed to be getting worse and worse every second.
