Seth had just dosed off, it the midst of a rather fearsome dream of his past. The only  evidence of his slumber was that his eyes were closed. His ears twitched slightly every so ofter, but other than that, his face faced the fire like he had been doing for the past hour.

Doc looked incredulously at Snake. His brain had stopped working. He struggled mentally, trying to get the gears to turn. There was no way. Discord? WMD? What was this pony talking about. His mind had never been this confused before. He fought through the stupor enough to say "W-what are you talking about?" His voice sounded hoarse and his head was still spinning.

"Listen carefully max twilight sparkle helped you cure FFMD right the soviets were working on that at groznegrad she was there when I was there when I lost my eye I took a bullet for her she was important to me she gave me a reason not to die that reason was her I loved her max and she loved me but she was a spy undercover in the facility and she had a job to do like me she was captured and they locked her up in one of the cells they had there before I blew the place sky high I went to the cells to get her and she was gone I thought the KGB had moved her I spent six years looking for her I raided goulags prisons and even the KGB headquarters I couldn't find her I blamed my self I lost her I failed her but you've just said that she is very much alive and she helped cure FFMD she must of escaped and took all the data from the labs before leaving she's alive max I have to find her I have to see her face to know I didn't let that precious flower die to help me let go I know she's your love now max and I won't take her away from you I just need to see her and to take the data from her it could make her a target max so tell me where is she"

Doc sat in stunned silence. "B-but she never told me. Why wouldn't she have told me." He spoke softly, barely loud enough to be heard. He shook his head slowly his expression full of grief. Then he looked up at snake and said accusingly "No! You must be lying! Why should I believe you?"

I look at doc tears coming to my eyes "max I'm not lying I promise she was there just like me she never told you about it all just like she never told me she was a spy she can't max here look"

I open a pocket on my shirt and take a photo out and hand it to the doc it show a younger snake with both eyes and a lot less scars and twilight huddled up against him in a cave they are both smiling and are holding hands and on the back is the words 'stay alive for me snake' in lipstick. "She was there max"

Doc stared in horror at the picture. He was dizzy. Suddenly he got up and stumbled over to lean on a tree and throw up. He retched and retched until he was dry heaving. Then bitter tears rolled down his cheeks as he accepted it. Why hadn't she told him. Then he thought of another situation just like this one. Neerah, the necrocorn who had tried to open the dark world before his brother. She was actually Malik's mother. And she had spent ten years with Doc's father without ever telling him who sshe really was. Now Twilight had done the same thing. He was sick to his stomach. And angry and hurt beyond belief. He retched again as the powerful emotions rushed through him. He tookma deep breath and tried to calm down. He knew if he let his emotions get out of control he would also los control of his powers. He shuddered but finally got his breathing under control.

My eyes where watering I was about to lose it completely the fact that she isn't dead was nearly to much to handle I looked over to the doc he was taking it hard as well but for a totally different reason I walked over to him and rested my hoof on his shoulder. "max I know its hard to take in but its the truth I need to know where is she?"

Doc jerked away from the comforting hoof and spat on the ground. "She's lives at the Ponyville library." he said bitterly. "And as far as I'm concerned? You can have her." Doc snorted angrily and walked around the tree to sit on the other side to contemplate his now meaningless existence.

I looked at the ground I had just made this ponies life a hell of a lot more complacated I walked over to the doc and sat down "look max I only want to go see her for three reasons one to say goodbye two to get the data at the moment she is in danger and so is equestria and three I need to give her something you love her right and I'm sure she loves you she is with you now so don't let her go like I did"

Seth began to stir as his dream got more and more dark. It was the one from his first night in Equestria, the one he dreaded the most. Countless lives being murdered right in front of him. With ha sudden jolt, he sprang up from where he had fallen asleep, a few beads of cold sweat covering his brow. After calming his breath, he saw he probably was in the middle of something.

 

"Oh, sorry for interrupting this... I'll...just be pitching the tents. Don't mind me." Seth said with a heavy sheepish grin. He slowly walked over to the bags and began his work.

 

'You idiot. Why the hell did you let yourself fall asleep in the middle of these woods!' Seth mentally scolded himself.

Doc spit again in venomous derision. This pony really had no idea did he? He was silent for a moment before he said "Look Snake. I'm done. My life is now pointless. She lied to me. We have been together for over a year now. She lied to me. The same thing happened to my father. The mare he fell in love with lied to him for ten years. TEN YEARS! Only to find out she was a necrocorn bent on releasing the rest of her species from their dark prison. She is the mother of my half-brother, the one who tried to take over the world. Because of her my FATHER contracted a deadly disease and died! The world was nearly destroyed and my life has been ruined because a dumb mare fooled the stallion who loved her and made his life a hell. And now the one pony who has given my life meaning has been lying to me everyday since we met!" Doc was on his feet yelling now, breathing heavily.

Max she is still with you and like you said she has been with you for a year. Do you know how long I was with her five days five bucking days and it was in a warzone you've had time to now here do you know the longest I spent with her was a hour and a half now grow up and be grateful for the time you've been with her she is more important than any other being"

Doc finally broke. With his anger spent he collapsed to the ground and covered his face with his hooves and cried. He didn't care how pathetic he looked. "If she loved me then why didn't she tell me." Then he remembered something. He sat up and sniffed and said "I lied to her too. And my lie was probably worse than hers." Doc looked at the ground in sadness. "I kept something really important from her. She found out and she still stayed with me. I don't deserve her."

Seth had finished pitching the three tents and was just laying out the mats for the three of them. He couldn't help but overhear the conversation they were having and decided to report his progress and be out of their mane for the night. It wasn't like they would want advice from a wolf: the embodiment of sex. 

 

"Hey guy's he called, I just wanted to say the tents are up. Nothing more."

 

He then sat outside his tent, and licked a slight scratch he had obtained from the earlier brawl.

I look at the doc with a look of concern and sit down next to him.

"Look max she's lied to both of us but you can't blame her its her job and also look at it like this she could of stayed any where but out of every where she choose to stay with you for a reason and for a year she must like you more than me huh"

Doc groaned as if in pain. "But I don't deserve her. I never have. She is so amazing and.....and...I lied to her horribly. And she stayed. And on top of that, after she became ans alicorn she found a way to sacrifice her immortality so we could be together. She's always been so good to me. She even saved my life. What have I ever done for her?" Doc hadn't been this depressed in a long time. He didn't usually get depressed. He was always optimistic.

"Max she's saved your life and she stayed even after you lied to her she must really love you to stay and she gave up immortality for you I say you don't let her go you hold on to her tight and don't ever dream of letting go max"

"I'd go with Snake here." Seth commented from the tent. "I once fell for a wolf during the pony wolf war. To this day I can't stop remembering her. Love is a beautiful thing Doc, don't let it suffer just because of a lie." He probably didn't have a part in this talk, as his love was killed off before he even thought of asking her to be his mate. Still, the heart wants what the heart wants.

Doc tried to find hope in the stallions words, but he was so confused he felt like he didn't even know down from up. "You know what I find interesting? You haven't even asked me what I lied to her about. Is it that you don't care or you just think it's none of your business. Shouldn't you be mad?" In truth, Doc was trying desperately to find ways to distract himself.

Doc stared at the ground for a moment before replying. Then he spoke: "I told you about the FMDD? Well I didn't tell her. We had been together for just over a month. I could feel the disease escalating. I knew I woulddie soon. But I was so desperate to find a cure. Finally I made a breakthrough. She had been suspicious for awhile. She kept asking what was up and I kept saying nothing. Then one day she tested her suspicians. Sje came into the lab and 'accidently' knocked over all my research. I tried to catch it magically but I went into a spasm and dropped it while I writhed on the floor. Luckily she caught it before it could hit the floor and she put it back. She confronted me about it and I finally told the truth. But instead of getting angry she started helping me. If she hadn't figured out herself, I would have died. And she would have...." he trailed off at the end as more tears rolled down his face.

I breathed a sigh of relief at docs words and put my hoof on his shoulder "your alive mate cheer up and twi loves you be happy well at least I know she's not using the data for weapons of mass destruction and she using it to save lives that's twilight alright might I ask is coat still purple or has she changed her coat color"

"Frankly, being immortal isn't the best thing in this world, mate. Take it from a wolf who is around a thousand years old." Seth said, hoping he wasn't going to regret saying this. Although, what he said was true. "Technically, I'm as mortal as you, but I have been alive longer than Celestia has held the throne. I have seen countless friends die and I have had to adapt to a world I barley knew. Trust me when I say this, you might have saved her the pain of living."

Doc looked at both of them in disbelief. He turned to Snake and addressed the more outrageous of the two comments. "W-what? Does she regularly change coat colors?" How much was there about Twilight that he didn't know? " And yes she is purple!" said Doc somewhat touchy.
