'Well aren't you a keen listener...' Geoff mumbled as he rolled his eyes. 'Moving here? I'd move here I guess. They better have video games though. I'd still miss my stuff though. Namely my games. As you can tell, games are my life.' Geoff smiled. 'Worked for a company dedicated to playing video games. I get three hours of sleep eveynight so I can spend maximum sleep playing video games. I love video games.' He laughed.

"really. I was studying animation. While games are fun, I'm more into cartoons. Yeah I'm a bit for it, but I've always liked cartoons. But working for a company that makes games, I admit that's pretty cool. However, I'm not as dedicated to the gaming thing as you are. I need my sleep after all."

'Yeah. It's just wired into me now. I can go on little sleep. Cartoons and animation? Yeah, we had to make animations for the trailers. I worked on one. I enjoyed it even if I just oversaw. Making things move pixel by pixel is pretty interesting.' Geoff said. The four came to the outskirts of a town. 'Oh hey. This looks like something from the 17th century. Maybe they are more and less advanced in different parts of the world. Just like us.' He observed. He nearly bumped into Luna. 'Uh, sorry. Where are we?' He asked as he searched for a sign.

"It appears to be the town of Ponyville. Its not very big but the ponies there are friendly. Yet a bit odd."

Aaron saw the town and placed his hood on his head. He didn't like a lot of attention. He waited until Celestia was next to him and walked next to her. Making sure nothing would mess with him.

Geoff walked to the right of Luna. It was a small town like they had said. He didn't notice anything odd about it.

 

Well, except for te fact pastel colored mythological ponies were living like sentient beings, of course.

 

He turned to te princesses. 'So we're do we pick up supplies? With that, what is your currency?'

"Our currency is that of bits. Gold coings."
Luna took out a few gold coins to show Geoff their form of currency.

"Come Geoff. Let us retrieve our supplies."

With that, Luna took Geoff to the market, leaving Aaron with Celestia.

"So, what are you and I looking for."

"I was hoping to refill our water supply."

"Okay, is there a lake or something?"
Celestia and Aaron went over to find the local lake to fill their water for the next trip.

Geoff walked alongside Luna to the stalls. He surveyed the various items.

 

'This isn't too dissimilar to our world. Only we have huge stalls where everything is sold by one person.' Geoff said as he looked up and down more of them. 'Im guessing we need food. What else?' He asked as he grabbed an apple and put down a bit, taking a bite out of it.

"Our sister is fetching the water. With that, we may acquire some extra sleeping bags for you and Aaron. After that we may continue our journey to dodge junction."

Luna and Geoff spent some bits on food for the rest of their trip. All the while Celestia and Aaron were fetching and refilling the water.

'Oh, ok. That sounds good.' Geoff said as he spent money on some blankets and two pillows. He follows Luna through the market. After a while they came to the end. 'So that's everything. I guess we should go find Aaron and your sister now.' Geoff said as he looked around. He saw Arron and Celestia come walking down. He waved and smiled.

Aaron and Celestia saw Geoff waving them down and made their way to the two.

"Hey guys."
"Greetings, Aaron. Shall we make haste."
"If you wish, Luna. Let us be off."

With their bags full, the group left town. The sisters leading the way.

"So, Luna how was your time with Geoff."
"He is okay. Not much for talking, but he is quick to get things done. And What of Aaron.

Celestia gave a chuckle.

"He's sweet. He kept asking questions about our world. Such a curious one. Then he was asking questions about me. I don't really know which he was more intrigued by."

Geoff followed along with some thing over his shoulder. 'Wait a minute...' He said as he reached into his pocket. 'Huh.' He said as he pulled out a 20 dollar bill and a few coins. 'We kept what we had with us. Imagine that.' He mused. 'So Aaron, where are you from anyway?' He asked, trying to make small talk.

Aaron looked to Geoff.

"I was from Washington. Seattle specifically."
Aaron was looking at the money Geoff was holding. If things did travel from one point to another, then it wouldn't matter to Aaron. He didn't like to carry stuff on him all the time.

"And what of you, Geoff? Where are you from?"

'Texas. Well, I was born in Alabama, moved to Forida then outside of New Orleans. I was in Texas.' Geoff explained. He noticed Aaron eyeing the money. 'Ah, might as well keep it if its ever worth anything. Maybe a sign of peace or something.' He said as he flipped a quarter and caught it. 'Do they even know war and peace? This place looks perfectly fine. Never been touched.' He said, looking around.

Nothing is always fine. I'm sure something's have happened here. We just haven't seen the scars yet."

The four walked along the trail in silence for a few minutes. Aaron broke the silence once more.

"So. What do you think of the princesses? Think they're nice or something?"

'I suppose so. That's what I'm worried about...' Geoff said.

 

Silence followed before Aaron asked him another question.

 

'Oh, them? I like them. I've spent more time with Luna. She's pretty nice I guess. Celestia is really nice all the times we've talked. They're petty good.' Geoff said with a smile. 'Celestia seems to have fun.'

"They are. Celestia is rather playful. She almost "accidently" pushed me into the lake while we were refilling water."
Aaron chuckled at the memory. Celestia was a kind pony. In fact, the more they spent with the two, the more they resembled humans than a different race. Celestia and Luna were chatting in the front.

"Sister. Have you deciphered more of the journal."
"I have. I found out what we are looking for."
"Will it be easy to retreave?"
"We will find out in time, dear Luna."

'Wow. Luna just bought stuff. That reminds me of Gavin...' Geoff said as a smile came across his face. After the company disbanded he remained in touch with Gavin until he left for England. He missed that idiot. He laughed a little. 'Everything reminds me of Chickentooth. Damn that was a fun time.'

The group walked on and the sisters came to a stop.

"Alright everypony. We'll make camp here for the night."

They sat their things on the ground. Celestia and Luna was setting up the tent and Geoff and Aaron set a fire. Within minutes they had a camp site up and running on the side of the road. Luna pulled out some food. Some apples and a large bag of marshmallows. Celestia found some sticks for them all.

"This is nice. A group of friends, together. Reminds me of when you and I were fillies, Luna."

"It does. I loved camping in the gardens. So relaxing."

Geoff took his marshmallow and stick. He roasted it until it was a soft golden. 'Eh, I'm weird like that.' He smiled when Aaron looked at his marshmallow, it barely melted. He stuck it inordinate his mouth. 'Mhm. Pretty good. Sweeter than a lot of our marshmallows.' He said happlily as he licked his fingers. 'I don't want much. I'm fine after that.'

Aaron took his marshmallow. He may not like the golden brown as he or Luna, but he rather roasted it to a crispy shell. He devoured the thing whole, showing his canines.  Luna and Celestia saw them and asked the inevitable.

"Aaron. What do you eat?"

"You know the basics. Fruits, vegetables, starches, meat."
Luna looked in horror.

"You eat other creatures?"

"Well, not sentient creatures, that's taboo where we come from. If you're asking if we eat equine, worry not. We don't eat horse, or pony."
Luna seemed to settle down, yet eyed them both. Celestia looked with intrigue in her eyes.

Geoff realized what had alarmed the two sisters. 'Oh god, I hadn't thought of that. We don't eat horses or anything. Some of the meats we mainly eat are fish, cow, and chicken. None are sentient, like Aaron said. Though some refuse and and even shun eating meat. Humans are weird.' Geoff said with a shrug and a weak smile. He grabbed an apple. 'Ive also notice your fruit is fresher. Probably the environment. What do you do with the trash around here?'

"We recycle our wastes. It is take  to a secure location where the right materials are melted down and re-used as the same or other products of the same materials."

"Their separated magically. Certain materials go in one pile and the others go in another. Its fairly useful."

Celestia mimicked Aaeon's Actions and engulfed a charred Marshmallow.

'Huh. I guess magic really does solve all your problems.' Geoff chuckled. He sighed and roasted about we marshmallow to the way he liked it, golden. He popped it in his mouth and licked his fingers. 'These are good. So where are we heading tomorrow? I'm all up for a trip cross the country.' He smiled.

Celestia and Luna were not prepared for that. somehow.

"We seek a magic item in the town of Dodge Junction. It was hidden their in the time of Star Swirl. Tia and I seek the items to be placed in safety in a museum."
"Our current target is an artifact dubbed "the changelings hide". The user is given shape shifting abilities. That, however, is all I have deciphered."

'Oh. That's interesting. I'm up for it.' He laughed with a huge grin. 'Wait, did you say dechipher? Like a code? I worked with code. I might be able to help. My brain sees patterns instantly now.' He asked with excitement. 'This is James Bond or Indiana Jones type stuff here it is.' He smiled. 'Whatcha got?' He asked Luna as he scooted over and sat next to her.
