"Luna and I are on an acquaintance sort of bond. Celestia and I seem to bond pretty well."

Aaron looked to Geoff and then Luna.

"Well, she seems to like you too. A lot. I ask this so as to know how you will handle this. Her affection for you seems to exceed that of just wanting to be friends.

Geoff didn't know how to respond. 'Uh...yeah. She told me...' He responded awkwardly. He knew that he liked her a whole lot, but saying it out loud felt...odd. He shrugged. 'I don't know how to handle it to be honest. Never really had friends or anything close to a relationship. Hell, I only had one person I really cared about before her...' He added.

"You can't give up after one person. Luna seems sweet. If you like her as well, just tell her. I'm positive she won't reject you/ And though it may seem weird, just remember this. When in Rome, do as they do."
Aaron looked to Celestia and saw into her dreams as well.

"Now, if you excuse me, I have some cake to eat."
With that, Aaron left Geoff to his thoughts and sent his consciousness into Celestia's dream.

Geoff nodded. 'Yeah. I guess you're right.' He Adidas as he lay back down. He did like Luna like she liked him. It was true. He decided to tell her as fast as possible. He fell asleep soon after, exhausted and cleared. His head was finally cleared. He smiled. For once things were looking up.

The train rode on. Within an hour or so, they arrived at the capital city. It was still fairly dark out. Aaron awoke from his dream invasion and began to wake the others.

"Come on guys. We're here. Time to get up and move on. Celestia, Geoff, Luna, time to get a move on."
"Ngh... Not now Aaron. Letus sleep."
"Get up, Celestia."
She began to stir and she got up. The others followed suit.

Geoff woke up as Aaron got everyone else up. He skipped out of bed and looked around. 'Forgot my bag. Huh.' He mumbled. He walked over to where the others were. He smiled. 'Hey everyone. Sleep well?' He asked scanning the group. Luna looked ok and Celestial was still tired, but Aaron seemed to be perfectly awake.

The group came out to the train station of the dark streets of Canterlot Station. They were only a few ponies coming out of the train, but other ponies still looked in awe at the former princesses visiting the capital.

"So, let us be off."

"Of course, sister. I'm sure Twilight would want to study the mask as soon as possible."

Geoff walked with the group. He was amazed at the city. It was unlike the one he had seen earlier. It felt very...Roman. He moved over to Aaron. 'This world has all sorts of architecture! I bet they have cities just like on earth!' He said happily. He felt more at home here. It was a huge city.

"Yeah. It is. But I'm not an architect so I wouldn't know."
They continued to walk to the castle. Aaron was messing with the mask once more. He was feeling a sinking feeling. As if he was falling into the ground. He just ignored it and pulled the mask off. They appeared in front of the castle.

"Halt. Who goes their?!"
"At ease. It is merely us. Tia and I would like passage to go in with our new companions."
The guards began to look the humans over. They eyed them suspiciously.

"So be it. Enter, Apes."
"Guard!"

Luna said. The guard jumped.

"That is no way to talk to our guests."
"M-My apologies. Please forgive me."
They walked in with silence.

Geoff chuckled. 'We are out of place, aren't we?' He smiled as he followed the others. The castle was fairly large. It felt like something out of a fantasy game. He looked around at the beautiful artwork. 'This must have taken a lot of work.' He said aloud as he eyes the stained windows. He couldn't help but feel like he was in Skyrim or something similar.

Celestia looked back to Geoff.

"You have no idea. The construction was long."

They continued on their way to the thrown room. Upon opening the room to see a purple Alicorn on the throne.

"Its good to see you two again. What brings you here?"

"Hello, Twilight. We have brought you an item from the journal. Thought you want to look at it."

Twilights face lit up. It has been a while since she had gotten to look at something of importance. She flew down to group. She came up to look over Geoff.

"My, he is an interesting specimen."

"No, Twilight. Its actually, that."
She pointed to the mask on Aaron's face.

Geoff looked back at the alicorn with a smile. He shrugged as she flew away. 'Humans are certainly weird.' He mumbled as he looked to the mask. Aaron had worn the thing the entire time, yet he never noticed it. Didn't it show others greatest fears? Couldn't it go into their minds?

 

Geoff made a smirk as he realized how he knew Luna liked Geoff. He hadn't been anywhere near them when she admitted it.

Aaron brought the mask off and presented it to the ruler of the land. She looked it over with a scientists eye.

"A bit of an odd craftsmanship on the design. Its a bit... dull. A mask of nightmares is usually terrifying.
"Oh, trust me princess. It's not how it looks, its how its performs. Lets just say, we don't want to be on the receiving end of that mask.

Geoff frowned at the thought of the mask. 'Yeah, that's not a particularly pleasant experience to say the least.' He added to Aaron's warning. He looked around the room again. It was huge. He turned back to the purple ruler. 'Where will it go?' He asked, hoping it was locked away forever.

"Well,  will most likely have it in the vault. But if you wish, I'll let you hold onto it. A proper field test and what not."
The princesses looked to her with a deadpanned face.

"You just don't want the thing going off an scaring you to death."
"Of course. I don't have any kind of containment for this kind of magic."
They all stood silent. Until...

"Dibs!"

Aaron shouted. The mask came to his hand.

"See. Even it thinks so too."

Geoff chuckled. 'Well, can't argue with that. Dibs and selected him.' Geoff said with a smile. He reached into his pocket and took out the coin. He held it out to the princess. 'We aren't from around here, if you can't tell. Here's something that might be of interest. One of our coins.' He said, hoping it was of interest.

She brought the coin to examine it. It was actually fascinating to her.

"Thank you, kind sir. If you wish. I can offer you a place to rest until morning."
"I could use some more sleep. Maybe a little more testing with the mask. How about you guys.

"Tia and I are indifferent. Geoff, how about you?"

Geoff nodded. 'Yeah. I'm exhausted even after the nap. Going into an imaginary mine to save a mask of fears tires me out, apparently.' He joked. He gave the room one last look and turned to his friends and the princess. 'Lead the way I guess.' He said as he stretched.

The group walked down the halls escorted by a guard.

"This is your quarters. You may separate as you wish."
The guard left them and disappeared around the corner.

"E-Excuse me, Geoff. Would you like to sleep with me... I-I mean, stay in my room."
Aaron and Celestia gave a snicker as if they were school children.

"You crazy kids do as you wish. Tia and I will take this room."

Geoff surpassed a chuckle. 'Id be delighted to.' He said with a warm smile. He moved I to their room and looked around. It was surprisingly nice. He tried to take his jacket off but made a frown when he realized it had been destroyed a long time ago. 'Gotta remember to find some way to get a new one...' He mumbled before laying on the bed.

Luna looked to Geoff. He was looking over his destroyed jacket.

"Worry not. I can have somepony repair your garments for you."
Luna levitated it to her and she placed it on the outer rim of the bed.

"The maids will retrieve it in the morning and have it repaired in the afternoon."

'Oh. Thanks Luna. I wear that everywhere.' He said, looking at the tattered jacket. It was ripped everywhere. He sighed and stretched again. 'Anyway, goodnight Luna. I'll see you in the morning.' He said as he closed his eyes and attempted to get some sleep. He wished the dream wouldn't come this night, of all nights.

"Y-Yes. Good night, Geoff."
The two got into the large bed. and began to drift off to sleep. Aaron and Celestia were in their room. A bit of energy still in them.
"So. what shall we do while we wait for sleep?"
"Well, we could talk a bit. I have nothing else to do. You up to answer some questions."
"Only if you are, Aaron."

"First question. What is your favorite food?..."

Geoff felt Luna shift into the bed. He smiled. He was glad she was around. Finally someone he could relate to besides his sister...

 

Great. Now he was thinking about his sister.

 

He sighed and eased out of bed. 'Hey Luna, I need to clear my head. I'll be back soon.' He said as he moved out of the room.

Celestia and Aaron spent the few minutes asking questions about each other.

"Okay. What is the weirdest thing you have ever done?"
"That's a good one. I guess while I was a princess, I may have spiked one of my birthday parties with a potion. However, I may have accidently had some. Next thing I knew. I in my bed with my coat colored pink."
"Okay, that was kinda weird."
They gave a snicker at Celestia's remark.

"Okay Aaron. Would you... go out with me"

 

Luna saw Geoff exit the room. She got up to meet up with him.

"Geoff. What troubles you my friend?"
