Jammo 986 February 11, 2014 Share February 11, 2014 They are bringing in new writers, several have wish have proved they can tell good stories. They are keeping it fresh. I think it's really irrational when one weaker episode crops up for everyone to throw up their hands and say "This is the end. They aren't even trying any more. No good stories can be told because one episode vaguely has a similar message to another. This show is dead."
Anilewe 2,178 February 11, 2014 Share February 11, 2014 I don't think so The season 4 so far showed us that they have a lot of new ideas and it doesn't look like they're going to run out of them very soon. Actually, it's the first season, which really touched a topic of elements. I mean, of course, we saw that Main 6 not always express their elements properly and how they work together to save Equestria, but it's the first time that they're really tested as The Elements Of Harmony. They learn how to be true to them and through their own experience teach others what's important. The show never before really answered a question, why they are elements properly and it looks like they're trying to do it now. And there are plenty of possibilities in terms of the slice of life episodes. 1 Fan of Applejack? Join us! We have the best cider from Sweet Apple Acres! ORANGESEXY IS THE BEST PONY! packmule1123 55 February 11, 2014 Share February 11, 2014 No, I honestly don't. Although there are a few episodes I didn't like, I still am enjoying the show. This was made possible by Sir Lunashy.
FNGRpony 658 February 11, 2014 Share February 11, 2014 no, but good ideas like in all things tend to be harder to come by. Some stuff works, some stuff doesn't, some stuff is amazing and some stuff is horrible. that amazing stuff in the past is always gonna be at the for front of your mind. people seem to think season 1 was return of harmony all the time. their has always been crap on the show. It's just harder to deal with fresh crap because it doesn't have an air of nostalgia about it. Just how people talk about a golden age of cartoons, seem to ignore there were alot of stinkers floating around back in the day. Take the first 3 gens of mlp. or most hasbro cartoons. (Most not all, calm down if you thought of things you liked i bet you could sit down and find more you didn't like). So yeah after rain bow falls you might feel like the show died a little. after pinkie pride you'll shut right up about all that noise. fans fixate on what you did last. With out fail. 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvTYhrZUgYY flight to the finish. i continue to improve,
True Rarity 1,240 February 11, 2014 Share February 11, 2014 No, I don't think so. While Simple Ways is very similar to Green Isn't your Color, the lesson is very different. 1 My deviantART
Megas 28,095 February 11, 2014 Share February 11, 2014 Definitely not, each character alone still has a lot places to cover. Hell there are plenty of things in the show at this point that are long overdue, like a Rainbow Dash/Rarity pair episode or a Celestia episode
SasQ 1,380 February 11, 2014 Share February 11, 2014 If they ever run out of ideas, they just can make a contest for the fans about writing the script for some upcoming episode. The prize could be that the winner's episode will be officially aired or something like that. I am sure that this would solve the problem, because I've seen many interesting ideas for the episodes at this forum's thread "Your episode ideas", or from the fan fiction writers. 1 My best posts list Recent post: Language Exchange
deadprofile 1,123 February 11, 2014 Share February 11, 2014 Remember that this show is intended for kids. Similar to how we relearn the same stuff over and over in school, kid's shows reteach lessons and ideas over and over. This show is 4 seasons old; the child fans of today are 2-4 years younger than the initial fans of 2010. A lot happens to kids within 4 years and most of the targeted demographic you can say have "aged out" of MLP in some form or another. So taking similar themes from earlier episodes and reinventing them into something different, yet with the same message, is by no means a sign that they are running out of ideas. In fact, I think they have a great deal more ambition and gusto in this season more than any other (minus Twilight's unacknowledged princess state). They are taking interesting ideas and just running with them in crazy, strange, and overall entertaining ways. 2 "In fire iron is born, by fire it is tamed"
Kings&Hooves14 616 February 12, 2014 Share February 12, 2014 Personally, I think the writers will start running out of ideas in a season or two. I love the show, and I think almost all the episodes have been awesome so far, but there's only so much you can do with a kids' series if you're not willing to take some risks. Other shows for children have pushed the boundaries of what kids' cartoons can get away with and thrived. MLP: FiM has a huge adult fan base...the producers would be fools not to take advantage of the situation by eventually moving in a slightly more mature direction. 1 The Brony Code: Humans are a lie, there are only ponies. M'aiq the Liar 5,804 February 12, 2014 Share February 12, 2014 For the mane 6? Perhaps, as fans seem only to enjoy the slice of life involving those characters, and most of the adventure arc's seem to be lacking. But as for world building, expanding on areas unseen as of yet (las pegasus, fillydelphia, vanhoover), and the general fantasy world around them that they haven't really explored much. They have alot they can focus on or elaborate on, such as spikes relation with rarity, the origins of the changelings, how or why the everfree functions. They just need a few competent adventure arc writers. 1 http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/vera-yeoman-r5921Muh pleb tier OC .http://mlpforums.com/blog/1663/entry-12477-pony-waifu-wedding-13-maiq-x-fleetfoot/ MLP forum's #1 Fleetfoot fan also married to fleetfoot <
