Big Shot was intently watching a wall of monitor screens that showed security footage from across the mansion. His teeth were gritted and his face twitched in nervous tension. No intruder had ever gotten this far into his mansion before.

 

The two guests he had been speaking with earlier were still in the room. The old stallion was just as nervous as he was, but the female guest seemed to be slightly amused by the situation as she casually took a sip of whine.

The unicorn gesters with his hoof, shaking his head and saying with an amused grin, "Then, by all means. Charge in and I will see to offering you some support."

 

Yet Mythos would then offer a soft word of warning, "Just remember to be careful, as you are no help to your wife if your killed." With such the stallion would take a deep breath and his honr would begin to glow, disappearing from sight so as to better get himself into a position to best aid in this venture.

Rune began pacing around the far side of the ball room. He was taken with anticipation as it had been years since he was given a fight that he was not 100% sure he would win.

 

"You shouldn't worry, Rune. Remember what they are," said Snowstorm calmly. "How they made it to here, I cannot say, but you and I both know that Femi, Oni, Roto, and Katu were getting soft, if not soft enough already."

 

"I admire your confidence, Snowstorm," said Rune, "but I pity your intelligence."

Sole looked forward as he flew, his smile suddenly dropping "I know..." He said seriously, before speeding up. Soon he made it to a set of doors that seemed to be there destination and jerked to a stop. "Whoever or whatever these guys are, they've got amazing auras... This'll be awesome!" He said, before grinning "ready guys?" He asked, preparing to go through the door

Crimson was so distracted by his own thoughts that he nearly collided into Sole's backside, but instead skidded to a halt only a foot behind his feathery butt. Crimson let out a sigh of relief and trotted up to the door, inspecting it for traps. "Hmm...well, it doesn't seem to be rigged or anything...and the ground seems to be pretty stable...I think were good to enter the next room. But remember, be careful...those guys energies are crazy powerful..." he said.

(OPEN THE DOOR ALREADY!)

Snowstorm paced back and forth and eventually stopped when he was in the center of the ballroom. He knew that the intruders were just on the other side of the door, but they had been there for quite some time and still had yet to enter the room.

Crimson noticed that no one seemed willing to open the door themselves, so he rolled his eyes and opened it himself. "Alright, NOW let's get inside and be careful..." he said, trotting into the room to see their opponents. Crimson instantly became suspicious when he noticed that there were only two of them waiting. "This isn't right...if Bigshot really was that worried about his own neck, wouldn't he send more guys to fight us? There's only two of them...some things not right here..." he thought, glaring at the two supposed demons warily.

"Most likely these are too more of the demons we must face before meeting Bigshot," Mythos suggested staying back and out of line of sight, to as to better protect himself from possible attack. He wished to see what the two before them would do, how they would attack and what their abilities were. It would be then that he could stratigize his attack and support, allow his companions and himself  to find those they care about.

Sole glared at the pair "no... You two are strong, but your not the big one." He said in disappointment as he read their magical aura's. "Where'd the third power go? The really strong guy!" He asked eagerly

"That insult means very little coming from one of your kind!" Snowstorm said with his sword raised.

 

"We have been watching your progress for some time," Rune stated as he walked beside Snowstorm, "'Who are they?' I wonder, 'Why have they come?' Are you thieves, looking for whatever values this mansion holds simply to satisfy your short lives? No. You seek something else, don't you? Something that you will not find."

Sole scoffed "Yeah, I want my wife back for starters ya smartass! And WHERE IS THE OTHER GUY?!" He asked, in an almost whining voice. "First I'll kick the ass of the strongest guy here, then I'll save Stony and go home. I'm happy, she's happy, everyone wins but you twerps." He said jokingly

"Oh please, calm yourself. We will had overcome the challanges placed before us so far, I do believe we can continue well beyond this room," say Mythos with a calm confidance, making his appearance known as he stepped into the room but continued to stay back behind those that were his compantions for this mission. He seemed amuse, his smile giving him almost a snide or mocking look to his face as he turns to look at the before the three.

 

Yet this was not fully his thoughts or feelings, as though he would not show it he was worried and felt guilt piecing him inside as he considered the danger he had put Stardream in.

"It's so funny with your kind. I can never tell the difference between bravery and stupidity," Rune said. Without Rune doing anything, the red tattoos that covered his body began to glow like hot metal.

 

Snowstorm held out his sword sideways with the blade end facing forward, holding it with his right front hoof. He slowly pulled the blade back until the handle was near his mouth. Then, he opened his mouth and gripped the hilt of the blade with his teeth. He used his right hoof, which was also gripping the blade, to pull on the back end of the hilt. As he pulled, the hilt of the blade opened up and extended as a pink, flesh-like substance protruded from within the handle. The pink, fleshy substance continued to stretch out and acted as an extension of the hilt until the hilt of the blade had become three times its normal length. Despite appearing as a muscular growth, the pink substance was stiff and just as unbreakable as the rest of the blade. The fleshy substance had a round protrusion in its center with three holes that acted as vacant eyes and a mouth. The 'face' that had formed had a slight blue glow behind its vacant eyes and mouth.

 

Snowstorm unclenched his teeth and proudly held out the corrupted blade with his hoof. His pupils had become vertical, red slits and his teeth were sharpened when he spoke, "The Banshee Shriek, such a lovely name for a sword, don't you think?"

Mythos would consider Rune, finding their words interesting and having some concern for the glowing marks on their body. Yet there was also curiosity and he asked, "Our kind? Are you not among our kind or are you somehow apart? Who and what are you to say such things?"

 

He grimaced at the sight of Snowstorm melding with his blade, even looking away a bit as the weapon became one with the stallion's hoof and he says with little to hide the disgust, "please, no need for vulgar display just to draw your weapon. I would also disagree that any would want a name for such a weapon, no matter how skillfully it is wielded or any power it may hold."

Yet this expression would not last, and a smile would grow again on the unicorn's face as he considers his foe. No matter how skilled this pony may be, having use of only three of his limbs for movement would throw off his balance and mobility. This could play to their advantage, especially for his partners as they were the better fighters. Yet there was still not much know about this pony and the blade he would use.

 

With such he would say in warning to his companions, "be careful, there is still much we do not know about those we face and what they are capable of."

"And isn't that unfair?" Rune said. The sentence sounded like it was meant to be mocking, but he said it in a straight forward manner. "How fair is it that we have already seen your abilities and you do not know ours?" He narrowed his eyes toward Mythos. "You think more than the other two. Your companions are too foolhardy to be scared, but you are perfectly capable of fear. To answer your question, I do consider myself different. You don't think we're ponies, do you?"

 

"We've talked enough already!" Snowstorm declared impatiently. He pointed his blade downward and thrust it into the floor of the loby. It sunk into the carpet and wood with a soft 'Thunk!' Snowstorm placed both his front hooves on the blade and leaned on the handle, focusing his energy into it. A thick, blue wall began to grow up from the floors and rose up around all of them. The walls, doors, and ceiling of the entire ballroom all became blocked off by a thick, blue, transparent force field, but it wasn't a normal force field. Something about it gave off a sense of despair. When he was done, Snowstorm pulled his blade out of the ground and commented on his handiwork. "One of my blades many tricks. I can turn the cries of the dead into a solid wall. Unbreakable. Now that the five of us are trapped in this room, I suppose it's time to start getting violent. So, which one of you wants to make the first move?"
