"Kill me. Come here. KILL ME RIGHT HERE AND NOW." Thunder yelled at Lightwings mother. She called her mother? What a sheepish thing to do. I'm glad it's over between me and Lightwing. She was a wonder to watch, his eyes clung to her every movement and her voice was so pure and melodious it was as if the words where solid and caressing him. He'd never heard singing so lovely, he couldn't understand how she kept this to herself, how she could be shy about it. Earlier today she had just been another mare he had just met but she had become so much more. As she sang and moved through the water slowly toward him he took in every detail, the water shimmering in her mane, the way the she pulled herself from the infinity pool the ripples making it look as if she was sliding out of another world made of the sky in eternal magnificent sunset.

 

He was entranced by her shining violet eyes as they stayed locked with his, he felt for her like he had never felt for any mare before. Feelings flowing through him, making his heart race and putting butterfly's in his stomach. She stopped so close to him, her song ending and she spoke gently. He didn't reply, words kept failing him today, especially with her; he was supposed to be smooth and a profession gentlecolt but she made him feel like just a nervous colt. So he didn't let words spoil the moment, didn't let himself stay still like some nervous colt; he closed the last little distance between them and kissed her, his lips only gently brushing against hers.

Traveller stayed silent for a second and nodded. 'Yeah, i guess...' he replied as he sat there with her. He couldnt deny he liked it, but he hadnt been this close to a pony in, what, a year? Year and a half? However long it had been, he knew it wasnt very recently. He smiled slightly.

Thunder lied on the ground. He was angry. Not only did this mare suddenly mix in with his problems, no, now she also physically attacked him. He stood up and grabbed his whiskey bottle. He slammed the bottom off, creating a sharp edge and spilling whiskey everywhere. He lunged at her with the bottle.

"Your face." Thunder used his bare hoof to hit the mare in her face as hard as he could, putting his full weight into the punch. The punsch was hard enough to throw her onto the ground. "Why didn't you check on Lightwing first?" Thunder asked bending over her.

(OOC: Even though Galena works, would she still get into romantic situations?)

 

"It's a deal! You call the count, and no cheating." Thunder stated as he shook Galena's claw. He secretly had gathered some electricity from before for a boosted start in case Galena pulled a cheap start.

 

(OOC: Yup she only works some of the time and since you're a guest you could be around even when she's working, heck since you're a VIP guest you could probably request her help for something from the resort and she would have to go see you lol and when she's off work she'd be happy to have someone to spend time with)

 

Galena would've taken off the second he called it a deal if he hadn't asked for the count, "sounds good, on three then. One, two," she readied herself tensing "three!" She pounced and flung herself up as hard as she could flapping hard to rise as quickly as possible. She knew that she was heavier than the Pegasus and the first half of the race would be her weakness.

Thunder sprang into the air and didn't spend time flapping, since his start was boosted. He paced himself, knowing that Galena would get her second wind. He drafted behind her for a while and was able to get a slingshot boost from her draft, which caused him to pass her. He hadn't flapped his wings since the launch.

As she had expected Thunder Dash passed her easily, he seemed barely even be flapping his wings and she wondered if he was cheating with his magic but she dismissed it he had seemed to honest before. He had probably just used her updraft, which was fine with her now he couldn't see where she was going. She shifted her wings and moved dangerously close to the hotel building, her wings spread wide to catch the updraft. In the thermal she suddenly shot upward, spiraling in tight circles to not tumble out of it or slam into the building; it was so quick she felt a little sick and dizzy, she knew she couldn't stay in the thermal long but she wouldn't have to.

Thunder saw the building up up ahead and curled into a ball. At the speeds he was going, he was still able to control himself. He came in contact with the wall and compressed like shock absorbers. As he did, he unconsciously gathered a very small ammount of electricity and shot off the wall, making sure Galena wasn't close.

Galena had lost sight of Thunder Dash in her spinning rise, but knew she couldn't focus on him, it was obvious that he was good and if she was going to win she would have to focus solely on her own flying and use her every advantage especially knowing the air flow around the resort. Her talons caught the railing at the top of the hotel building in the middle of a spiral, it was out of instinct, she had practiced flying this route many time before. The world was spinning and she couldn't she straight but she pushed off and folded her wings in tight as she started to dive back towards the pool area.

Thunder was like a comet, diving down toward the poolside. He folded his wings to gain more speed. He wasn't sweating at all. As he neared the ground, Thunder opened his wings, caught an updraft, and landed gracefully on the ground. He then waited for Galena.

 

(OOC: Hope that wasn't an unfair move.)

Galena was diving so fast she could barely see, but what she could see made her heart beat quicken; Thunder was diving too and he was ahead of her.  But she was gaining, this was where her heavier and sleeker frame had the advantage, no mane or long bushy tail to catch the air she had less air resistance.

 

And then it happened, he slowed, he spread his wings to stop and land gracefully.  She didn't she kept her speed, not slowing for a second, she was not about to lose because of meekness of concern for her health, she was giving it her all to win.  She slammed into the pool at full speed creating a tremendous splash. (heh she told everyone no splashing before) the angle took her straight into the deep end, wings went wide underwater to help her slow her feather instantly waterlogged helped as well.  She slow enough that she hit the bottom hard but only hard enough for minor bruising.  She struggled back to the surface and broke it gasping for breath, she feathers were plastered to her face and covering her eyes, "What happened? Did I win?"  Struggled to tred water and moved toward the poolside.

"Dang it, I hate getting soaked like this and I'm going to have bruises all over my back. And it was all for nothing." she was gasping, out of breath and looked like a wet cat with fur and feathers sticking to her body and showing off he skinny lithe form. She looked at him and cocked an eyebrow, "Wait, you heard the splash when you landed where? The race was first to touch the pool. Did you touch the pool?" She shook her body sending water flying everywhere and started running her talons through her head feathers wanting them to look nice and cool again.
