Rarity Paige Belle 1,854 February 24, 2014 Share February 24, 2014 (edited) After reading a comment about taxidermy it reminded me of a time when I had a work experience placement at the natural history museum in Tring (thats in Hertfordshire by the way). This place was stuffed with dead animals. No models. Just room after room of dead animals. It was so creepy that I left after just one week! Serbon div 386 February 24, 2014 Share February 24, 2014 (edited) I don't really work, but once when I helped place cables for speakers in our church, I had to go trough this creepy room full of spiderwebs and old dusty construction stuff, and I had to place the cable right against the wall :/ If I'd touch something it would make a chain reaction of falling things. It took me half an hour to finish this thing and I'm glad I did xD The funny thing is that the only thing I heard is howling of some wolves Edited February 24, 2014 by Serbon
repsol rave 2,963 February 24, 2014 Share February 24, 2014 i've worked at many places, farms, restaurants, even a factory! tough the weirdest place till now must have been in a shrimp processing plant. most boring job ever, i had to manually label packets of shrimp because the labeling machine couldn't work that kind of packaging. o.0 My OC's: Roarke, Repsol and Crystal
The Pulse 210 February 24, 2014 Share February 24, 2014 Haven't really worked any where yet, worked on a couple farms, but those aren't really all that weird. Made By Me
FatalRain 108 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 I guess the idea that I worked in a factory is weird to some people they don't even realize that they still exist haha
AlicornAcolyte 254 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 I guess the U.S. House of Representatives. I was a page there in high school. Not really weird, but it's not exactly a common work setting.
Wolfstanus 116 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 (edited) Post office when I was like 10. A small town in Missouri. I helped break up the cement floor etc. Not much as I was really young and small but its still weird because I was really young. The town is basically dyeing slowly and is of a bygone era. Discordian 6,015 March 17, 2014 Share March 17, 2014 Mine's gonna seem pretty lame as far as weird work places go but I was working as a day laborer for a couple months and one time had to clear out a building that had a fire in it so it could be demolished properly. First we had to clean out fridges that hadn't had any power for over two weeks and then we had to tear up dry-wall, get stuff up and down three or more flights of stairs to the garbage trucks, etc. Hot as blazes too. I got let go because I couldn't take the heat and had to sit down even though they specifically said to do so if we felt overheated. Yeah, double standards are fun. Don't think I got another job after that and pretty much stopped going to the agency. They weren't gonna send me out anymore.
