I would save the black lanterns for later. I was going to have us temporarily turn into white lanterns to fight them off.

But who'd be the original white lantern? One of us would have to master all of the emotions of the color spectrum and become the first true white lantern, then turn the others into temporary white lanterns to defeat the black lanterns.

Or an npc gm controlled person could be a white lantern already.  Showing up where he, or she, is needed most.
