Technicolor was at her job in Ponyville, standing tall. Being at her post gave her lots of time to think. She looked up at the stars.

'I wonder if I had made the right choice..." She thought to herself. She left half of her friends for the land she loved. She left Rainbow Dash. Her flying partner. Twilight. Her adviser. Pinkie. Her comedy pal. But she still knew she was doing what AJ, rarity and fluttershy wanted. Also, she was defending Luna's rightful place. She stood tall, remembering this, and this is what she could live by.

Times looked at Sapphire and saw how happy she seemed. Times put back on his helmet and smiled. He walked through the grass and felt something on his chest. When he looked down he saw a large beetle had latched itself onto Times' chest. Times stopped walking and kind of froze.

Sapphire took a step out of the grass and saw a pony standing there. She turned back to see if times was coming, but could not see him through the grass

 

Embers yawned as he looked down at the ground. As they stoped, he almost bumped into the pony infront of him "Whats going on?" He asked

Times tried to throw off the beetle but it wouldn't come off. Times gave up and continued walking. He came out of the grass and looked down at the beetle. Times grabbed one of his flintlocks and shot off the beetle. Times put away his flintlock He walked up to Sapphire and looked a her.

Sapphire glanced back at times "Wouldnt it have been easer to just stab it?" She said with a shrug as she looked back at the pony standing on the wall

 

Embers yawned as he kept walking. He looked around and saw times shoot the beetle. He chuckled a little before looking around

Technicolor saw the ponies approaching from her post. Not sure whose side they were on, the flattened her ears, glowed a threatening red in her coat, and soared to where the approaching soldiers were.

"Who goes there!?" She commanded to the ponies, trying to get a better vision of them now.

Times looked at Sapphire and chuckled, "I just found shooting it easier." Times said before looking up at the soldier. "Well I guess we should get going maybe on the way to the Castle I could show you the clocktower." Times said showing her the golden key. Times heard the question and looked at the soldier and said "I am Commander Times Hay from the Fillydelphia camp." Times said to the soldier.

Technicolor then regained her composure. "I see. Very sorry. I wanted to be assured that you were soldiers of our princess Luna.. Welcome to the Ponyville base. I am Technicolor Whooves, a sentry guard here." She held out her hoof for a polite hoof shake to the ponies she saw before her.

Times shook her hoof and said "Whooves? Reminds me of an Earth pony that would come into my shop a few years back..." Times said as he took off his helmet. Times looked at the mare. "I can't believe they turned ponyville into a base...." Times said scratching his head.

Technicolor shrugged. "Me neither, I'm not sure why they chose this little town. But I'm glad they did- I volunteered the moment they mentioned. This is my hometown," she said with a smile. "And I think you've got the same Whooves that I'm close to," she said with a smile as she looked at the stars. "He got stationed in another town." She flattened her ears.

Embers looked up ahead, trying not the show any feelings. But he was mad, he was really mad about how the lunars had gotten through to ponyville, and had taken it over. 

 

Sapphire smiled "Nice to meet you" She said as she looked at her "My name is sapphire" She said with a smile

"I can't believe they finally ended the dispute here. When I had join the military this place was a neutral zone, And now it stands under the Lunar Banner. Its good to see Ponyville finally join Cloudsdale on the good side of the war." Times said looking at the town. "I'm guessing it wasn't taken by force..." Times said. Times always wondered why it was so difficult to get ponyville to join the Lunar side. Mostly because it is right next to the Lunar Capital and deep into Lunar territory.

Sapphire nodded "Yeah, ponyville is a good point for are armys to camp out before moving on" She said as she looked over at times

 

Embers slowly steped away from the group, glad to get away from all of the lunars. He was still mad about ponyville being taken over

Technicolor smiled. "Pleasure to meet you as well." She gave another bow. "Feel free to camp here as long as you like," She said politely.

Technicolor saw one pony sort of shift away from the group. she wanted to ask if he was okay, but decided not to and kept moving with her new friends.

Times smiled and put back on his helmet. "Well I was going to the everfree to see the princess. Sapphire you okay with staying here with her why I'm gone." Times said looking at Sapphire and then to the Everfree forest.

Sapphire nodded "Yeah, Ill be fine with that" She said as she smiled, looking over at the new pony they had just met

 

Embers troted away from the group, happy to get away. He walked into the city, looking for his hideout he had had before the whole war had started

Technicolor smiled. "I have an extra tent for you if you would like it. Feel free to make yourself at home," she said. "We have really good meals here. You'll love them," she said with a laugh. "We also have a very good view of the stars and moon. If you look over there you'll see our mane observatory." She said.

Times flew to the everfree forest and landed. He walked into the forest and headed to the Castle. He saw soldiers wandering around and saw Zecora's hut. "Maybe I will visit her later" Time said to himself and cross the bridge. He looked up at the newly built castle.

Sapphire looked over and shrugged "Its fine, I have my own tent" She smile as she looked over " guess ill go set it up"

 

Embers walked over to his little tent, it was still there, even after the war, he smiled as he walked into it. He looked around as he saw all of his stuff was still there

Times walked forward and the draw bridge dropped. Times walked in and 2 guards looked at him. Times walked forward and was stopped "Who are you, What is your business here!" A guard yelled. "Commander Hay, I'm here to visit the princess" Times said saluting

Technicolor nodded politely again. "If you need any assistance, my tent is that one over there." She pointed to one that was purple in the background, but had a Radioactive symbol on it, matching her cutie mark. "It's hard to miss," she said with a laugh. "Enjoy your stay."

Embers grinned as he walked around the town, it still seemed mostly the same, and he was glad for it. He then yawned as he walked round for a little longer before returning

 

Sapphire smiled "Thanks, but I have lived here most of my life, so I should be fine" She said as she looked around

The guard looked at Times. The guard had much heavier armor, that could clearly take a good amount of musket shots. The guard wasn't using a musket of any other gun. He was holding a large halberd. The guard looked at Times and said "The princess is not taking visitors." Times chuckled before pulling out his flintlock and putting it up against the guards head. "ha! I out rank you and second I don't like it when ponies put large axes up to my throat." Times and the guard stared each other down until the throne room door burst open.

Sapphire slowly walked into the streets, happy to be away from that creepy thing in the forest. She looked around as she tried to find her house, but could not. She sighed as she ended up just camping in a little heap of rubble on the far side

 

Embers also set up his camp, far away from the rest of the troops

another guard came out of the throne room. This one was different. Her ears and wings were more bat like and her armor was a dark blue not black or silver. "Stop your fighting or I will end it myself." The guard stood at attention and saluted at the mare. Times put away his flintlock and looked at the mare. "And who are you exactly?"
