 Indeed    *she started to groom her feathers, showing how relaxed she was*   she certaintly doesn't like to "act" like royalty. But then again its not often that royaly is given to you ponies through forms of destiny. I was born into my position, was trained to be an Empress my entire life, so I'd be ready to take on the Empire after my father the former Emperor retired.

 

*Sighs*   I feel like I've over done it for Lightning...gah Blissy, she prefers to be called Blissy... She doesn't like to act like a Princess, and she seems to feel out of place here, when she more then deserves it. Have I done too much for you, your friends as well as her good NightStrike?

Seth smiled as he felt Volt lick away his tear. 

 

"Volt, you are a true friend. Of all the ponies in this world, I'm honored to have you there for me. Thank you." Seth said, giving a respectful nod.

 

"As for that gryphon... let me get my leg back on and then I'll be ready." The wolf said, rolling over the bed to where the appendage lay. He picked it up and locked it in place back in it's socket. As the arm's built-in gauntlet display powered up, Seth flexed his appendage to make sure everything was working properly. He then looked to the can laying on the bed.

 

"So about this skin-in-a-can, just spray it on?" He asked, crawling back to Volt's side.

Now, NightStrike's more talkative side began to show up.  "Actually Empress, I think you did just the right thing. I mean, maybe some of my friends would prefer to have a somewhat less formal party and be a bit more relaxed but I fear that would be quite impossible. After all this is a coronation, you can't just put a crown on her head and declare that she's a princess now right? That would be unacceptable." He went on talking not realizing he was starting to rant a bit,

 

"For instance, the griffin politician barely even acknowledged her as a princess, that would be even worse without the ceremony. And I think that boat trip is just wonderful, if I might say so Empress. I don't think that anypony would mind to stay at that ship for a while."

 

He suddenly shut himself up, realising he might have been ranting a bit too much to the Empress, he started getting a little more red.

"just spray it from the arm to the paw, all around, it is basically a compressed foam, it will fill taking air, close every single hole in the arm structure but letting it move, after creating the structure more similar as possible to the real arm, this is thanks to a mixture of kevlar and carbon nanotubes... don't.. even ask.. where i got those from ok?  i don't want to remmeber.. anyway, after creating the structure, let a minute go, the part of the foam still in contact with the air will create a gelatine solution that will take the consistence of the skin, after that, it will create a fake fur, made with the same protein and substances of the real fur, thus making it looking like real fur.. the same process, but a bit more complicated, goes to the paw.... once again.. it is just merely an aesthetic stuff.. it has only the advantage to protect it from water.. so since we are going on a boat.. it might get usefull... the can should last for a couple of month.. if you like it just ask and i will provide more..."

 

he paused realizing the water fall of words he just spit

 

"uh... sorry...it is just that i can never keep my mouth shut.. anyway.. nah buddy, i am the one honored to have you as a friend! damn! i can go arond telling, 'Ehi! i am friend with a princess and a wolf!' AHAH!"

 

Volt rolled on the floor realizing that he basically don't have anyone else to tell

 

"anyway.."
 

he panted getting back on

 

"for the idiot gryphon.. as mush as i will pay to place my hoof on his face.. i don't think this is the right place.. i mean.. the emperess is a bit scary isn't her? i don't want to get on her bad side.. and also Bliss is, after all, the alicorn of Unity.. i can't just go around bashing Gryphons"

 

he sighed

 

"even if i want so hard eh eh... so full of their self.. remember the bar?"

 

Volt gigled at the memory of the epic drunk fight

 

"i'd say that it will be better if we just go out on the dock and admire that boat, maybe it is holding more surprises than what we things! we can get Nightstrike and Polaris too on the way out.."

 

Volt said opening the door and looking around, noticing the emperess talking to Nightstrike he backed in and closed the door

 

"uhh... Nightstrike is in the corridor... with.. the Emperess... uhm maybe we can join the chat.. what do you think Seth?"

*After taking a long hot shower and using a towel to dry himself up thoroughly, the door of the bathroom opened with warm steam coming out as he walked out and closed the door behind him with his magic. He felt utterly relaxed and let a deep and content sigh as he finally lied on his back on the massive ornate looking bed with royal purple and golden colored sheets on the opposite side of the room, before turning his head to his left and began to use his magic again to start looking through different books that were neatly placed in correct alphabetical order on the nearby wooden shelf*

 

*He pulled the books out of the shelf one by one in a linear order as he searched for a suitable one that he could read before going to sleep. Few moments later, he came across a book that he didn't expected to find in the gryphon lands and raised his eyebrow in surprise as he scanned the cover of the book with small chuckle. It was the 13th edition of the Daring Do and the enslavers of the nether realms, a book that he in fact hasn't been able to read back home due to being very busy with his work that left little time for reading. Now however it seemed that he had the chance to finally do so, even though he knew he wouldn't be able to read it entirely, but could always buy it for himself once he'd get back home*

 

Hehe... It appears that even the gryphons across the sea know the adventures of the Daring Do... This will do nicely!

 

*He thought in his mind as got up from his back and sat down next to the book, before he flipped the first page of the book open with his magic and began reading it eagerly*

*He looks at her for a few seconds, her mane blowing in the stiff breeze coming in from the window behind her. Their eyes meet for only a few seconds, but seems like an eternity to his mind. Slowly he raises to his feet, his sleek black mane gently blowing away from his face, with each step he continues to stare at his beloved friend, even in her current state still looking as beautiful as ever. Memories of their past flash through his mind and time around them seems to slow as he comes to a halt in front of her, his blue eyes moving side to side as he looks into hers, his heart full of affection and caring. He gently brushes away the tangled mane from her face and wipes away the tears from her red cheeks , again not saying a word for a few moments, just feeling once again the power and strength of their bond* 

 

Bliss....  *His eyes well up slightly with a motion but he keeps himself composed, not letting his feelings and emotions overcome him, he speaks softly*   I see none of those things *He smiles a little seeing her confused look and continues*  I see you.  I see the most caring and amazing pony who I have ever had the good fortune to come across during my short life.  *He gently takes her hoof in his and keeps smiling*  I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart that I have never come across somepony who really has changed my life so much for the better *His mind wanders back to the months before their first encounter, images flash in his mind of the days he would spend alone sat on the clouds watching other ponies going about their business, a time where all hope seemed to have faded from his world*  .... I used to feel so alone, not a friend in the world until I met you  *Sniffs and grins a little*  Sure at first I remember we barely got along and butted heads more than once but *Places her hoof where is heart is and smiles at her*  now... *he looks into her eyes again, his heart full of words that could not be spoken, he sighs a little and nuzzles her*  I love you like a true sister Bliss.... I really do  

 

Look  *He slowly turns with her and points outside the window towards the Yacht, lines of guards dressed in their gleaming gold and purple armor of the gryphon empire patrol the decks and the docks beyond awaiting their arrival, he turns back to her and smiles* All of this is for YOU blissy, all these creatures today came here to see you... doesn't that say something about how much you are cared about ?  *He brushes her mane again gently and chuckles a little*  Look how far you have come, gone from being a lone mare who had all but given up on finding happiness, confined to a life of loneliness and anger, suffered through years of abuse at the hands of others and had more than your fair share of tragedies... but yet your still here....  

 

*The wind blows his mane across his face slightly and he brushes it away, hearing the large beat of wings he looks outside to see Night Lights flying high above the castle with his mother Pyra, their scales gleaming in the afternoon sun, he smiles and turns back to her*  You now have a husband who loves you and makes you happy * Grins at her and gives a little sigh*  If you want the truth then he is the luckiest dragon alive  *His cheeks go red a little as he speaks* What im trying to say is... *His words choke in his throat a little and he clears it before looking into her eyes*  If we had met under different situations... in a different time... maybe in another life... *Grins and clears his throat again, his heart full of longing but at the same time his mind full of the knowledge that it could never be, he smiled again, trying not to portray his true feelings*  Who knows... but every day I thank Celestia for allowing me the chance to have been able to meet some pony like you *squeezes her hooves a little and grins* As long as you don't forget about me as you get even more popular among the different species, then I will always be there for you     *He wraps his hooves around her and hugs gently, closing his eyes as he continues speaking, the breeze entangling their manes slightly*

 

Everything in this world happens for a reason, sometimes we are dealt a hand that we aren't happy with but the power is within us all to make the best of our situation, as the pressure begins to mount we often forget about the small things in life that used make us happy, we forget to look at the wonders all around us, the beauty and complexity of it all... we forget about the things most important to us... *He smiles at her before continuing* All we can do is keep on going and smile in the face of adversity, and when we feel like coming to the end of our tether just stop, hold up our hoof, take a breath and focus on the reasons of why we are here and remember the ones we love  

 

*Squeezes her hoof and a tear trickles down her cheek*  However much it means coming from me I will never forget about you nor let you go through these things alone, even if the day should come that we can never speak to each other again then I will always remember you and what you have done for me *He sniffs a little and stares out of the window, the sunlight causing his tears to shimmer and sparkle, he grins as he looks out at the clear blue waters beyond, listening to the gulls calling and the ponies clamouring around, he takes a deep breath of the salty ocean air before turning back to her*  I love you Bliss, we all do, never forget how much you mean to us and that you are never alone in this world, and somewhere out there your father is watching you... and I know he must be the proudest stallion whoever lived right now  *He stops speaking as his words choke up in his throat, desperately trying not to cry in front of her , he clears his throat and grins, brushing his mane away from his face a little as they continue to look at each other, the breeze still fluttering their manes*

Seth looked at his friend with a smile (he hadn't smiled this much since the attack.), knowing everything he said was right.

 

"You know, that time at the bar was fun. I still remember the time where 'you trying to kill me' and 'me trying to kill you' was just another day at the bar. Of all the pass time things we could do together, murder seems to be our preference. By the way, I think I have a number on near death counts. I think its 3 to 2 right now." He said with a chuckle. When people say that they will look back on a moment and laugh, this was one of them.

 

Seth took the can in his right paw and began to spray the contents across the outer surface of his metallic appendage. As Volt explained, it felt like bio-foam at first. As he let it sit for a minute, the foam began to congeal into a thin layer of skin. Finally, a layer of fur began to take hold. What remained was what looked to be a perfect left fourarm. The only difference what that there were a bit more light grey hairs than the other. Seth assumed it was due to the nature of the injury leaving his 'leg' slightly scared.

 

"Wow... impressive Volt." Seth exclaimed, examining the new layer of skin. Picking up the sunglasses on the table, he put them on and looked himself in the mirror. "I feel like the terminator!" He said with a bit too much enthusiasm. Turning back to his friend, Seth gave him a much needed hug. "Thank you." He said. After a few seconds, he withdrew the hug. "So, what do you want to chat about?"

*The swelling in her temple before the coming of tears pounded through her head. Her heart fluttered up in her throat, like it wanted to fly out into the sky with the sea birds. Her eyes twinkled with the fading sunlight of the setting sun...catching his reflection as the tears trinkled down her cheeks, dropping and making a stain on the sofa. She sniffed profusely, unable to stop the flow, took a deep breath and turned to look out the window as he encouraged. She didn't look out upon the mighty vessel, or the hard working ponies and gryphons that were getting her sea worthy...She looked beyond the horizon, watching the colors of twilight dance out as the light was chased with the rising of the stars and the moon...more magical then she ever knew in that moment of realization*

 

   So...beautiful Skylar...   *she placed her hoof on his, making him come closer to look out the window with her, enjoying the swe et salty, warm breeze.*   So beautiful is my world...so colored and spirited...because of friends like you   *she gently turned, stil l dripping with tears*   In all my fears and    anxiety of what I have become...I had nearly forgotten what you have said...Of what I have in my life now...Instead of worrying about what I can't do...what I don't have anymore...I should be more focused on what I know I can do...and what I do have  *she   looked back towards the window, watching her husband doing a flight dance with his mother. The sky was their floor...their spirits joined in the tranquility of the moment...She could sense how happy he was even from this distance...After so many years of seperation from his own kind...finally accepted by his mother in a bondage she had longed to have with her father...But was only too happy to see him enjoy that.*

 

 If we've not come to this place now...Night Lights would have never been so happy, being reunited with his mother like now...I would have never met you or Polaris...Seth, Volt and NightStrike...   *The winds blew her tangled mane, the fading light dancing off it as it did. She could feel their bond for each other, between her and Skylar in that moment...a time of clariety and understanding of what she has with him and their friends...and in that moment, peace fell upon her like sleep*   I don't care what I am anymore Skylar...*she finally spoke up after a moment of absorbing the moment and his words a bit longer* What matters is who I am...and who is in my life. You are in my life now, and you make me a better person because of it, you and our friends...Your all like little flickers of candle light...when joined together, you brighten up the dark room within my mind and heart...Each one of you has its own powerful spark...Alone I'm nothing more then a flicker in the dark...but when you are with me, and the others...we're a bone fire of friendship...

 

*At that she turned and hugged him, sobbing into his mane and neck*   Thank you...thank you Skylar...for helping me to come back to our bone fire...  *She held on to him for quite some time, just soaking up their emotions of love and care, the sea breeze making it more relaxing, before finally pulling away and smiling to her good friend*

 

*She levitated her cloak and hood on to her form, tying it at the neck then walked towards the door*   Come on Skylar...think we've been in this big dark castle long enough? Let's go to our boat, and go home.

*The Empress chuckled at him as he caught himself, looking uneasy*  Please NightStrike there's no need for formalities, we're all mortals here right?    *She grinned*   But prehaps the recovery here has gone on long enough. There will be better ways for you all to escape on the Yacht back to your homelands. Come! Let us find the rest of your friends and see if they are ready to go to their sealand home.

said Volt with a smile mixed with a strange grin, his eyes turning a bit smaller

he said shocking his head and mane

 

"yeah the life on the dam is damn boring.. luckily i got to fin your bar.. and all off this awesome friends... not saying that i missed my life with the company.. but hell... fixing damn pipes is not like traveling the world like you do! meh i  should change work.. after all.. i can fix almost everything... but meh... luckily i have all of you..."

 

he paused a little

 

"and no problem for the can, i have some presents for the others too, anyway ENOUGH TALK! let's hit that boat! i really wanna see what those gryphons do around with engineering"

 

Volt howed a small note book and a pencil

 

"eh eh reverse engineering or industrial espionage? "

 

he grin and added: "Cloudsdale has always had an harsh relation with ghrypons.. we never shared any tecnology... i guess it is the time to do so... in fact.."

 

he looked on the eye of the wolf

 

"my mother was an earth pony.. maybe that's why i prefer sturdy and big machine, to the mechanical perfection and apparence of Cloudsdale.. after all.. Blissy is the alicorn of Unity, right? i may mix som tecnologies.. maybe i can develop something greater! hell.. maybe even replace those mechanical contraptions  like yours!"

 

he closed his eyes thinking about the possibilities, and he cutie mark blinked again

 

"so.. should we go out, take some fresh air, and check that ship? Race? let's see if my wings beats your wolven sprint!"

*She emerged out of the room with her cape and hood on, making sure Skylar was following behind her. Despite her hood, her ears perked up hearing the frantic flapping of Volt's eagerness to get under way and smiled, trotting out into the middle of the hall, spotting Empress Nortica coming out of NightStrike's room, smiling to her*

 

 Oh there you all are, I hope you've all had time to freshen up? *The powerful purple gryphon smiled as she approached Blissy* Princess- I mean...Blissy  *she blushed a bit, trying ot remember to sound a bit more casual* Are you and your friends ready to come to the ship?

 

I believe we are Nortica *she smiled to her gryphon friend* And thank you...for everything you've done for us, me and my friends, and my husband.

 

The pleasure was mine my friend. Come, I'll lead you to the harbor. *She turned and trotted down the hallway, her lion padded feet thumping as she went, while the cluster of clops followed suit behind her*

 While talking to the Empress, NightStrike saw Volt peeking into the room for a short while. He probably wasn't sure whether to join the chat or not.

 

Luckily the Empress didn't seem to mind his slight lack of formality at times. Blissy and Skylar seemed to walk past the room too. The Empress approached them and NightStrike followed close behind. Apparently they where going to the docks to see the ship up close.

 

"Woohoo! I really can't wait to see what my room will look like!" He shouted out in sudden excitement to nopony in particular.

*As he was nearly through the first two pages of the book, he heard slight commotion coming from the outside of his room, which made him to close the book, levitate it back to it's place on the book shelf, getting off the bed and grab his vest hanging from the coat rack near the door as he trotted towards it and opening it with his magic, only to his realization to see all the others walking by towards the main hall with the empress on their side where they came from today with eager and excited looking expressions on their faces*

 

Oh, we're leaving now? Wait up!

 

*He hastily turned around and swinged the door behind him close and quickly trotted up to his friends who were a bit ahead of him*

Volt heard lot of noises in the corridor, he stepped back opening the door, and seeing the Emperess, Bliss, Nightstrike and Polaris, he yelled back to his friends

 

"EHI! EHI YOU ALL! STOP THE HORSES! i have something for you..."

 

"i made some stuff for all of you, nothing fancy... just a little gift to thank you for your friendship"

 

he run toward Polaris

 

"so Polaris.. i heard you are the gentlecolts around here.. but also that you were a tribal pony.. i don't know what is your relationship with water.. but since we are going to be on a boat, i thought this would fit you for the best.. i hope.."

 

he opened his bag and hanged him a little snorkel with a small metallic filter on it

 

"we developed this back at Cloudsdale, trying to filter dust from the air.. it turned out working all the other way around.. it is able to remove oxigen from water for a small ammount of time.. basically.. it will help you keeping underwater for around ten minutes, without needing to get out to take a breath.. i hope it will be usefull for you.."

 

he said unsure nodding a bit, he then jumped to Nighstrike

 

"so buddy, i love your lights and dark spells, really, so i thought this could help you more on your missions"

 

he pulled out from his back a small pair of gold googles with an elastic near them

 

"they are basically two microcameras with a small screen on the side of the eye, and infrared projector in the front, the camera catches the different frequencies and.... well.... for short... they will help you to basically see at night like it was a full, sunny day... "

 

Volt paused a little

 

"and finally Bliss and Skilar"

 

he said dodging the Emperess and landing in front of Bliss

 

"for you two i have those..."

 

he give her two identical small gold bracelets

 

"i know that you two have some sort of special link.. well. i don't know the nature of this link.. but i have made those.. they are basically trackers.. when one of you needs help, just push the small red button on them, the other one will start blipping, the more you are closer to the other bracelet and the more you are heading to the right direction, the more it will blip, when you are really closer, the blip will turn into a continue whistle..."

 

he said bowing and letting the bracelets on the floor right in front of Bliss hooves

 

"i know.. i know.. they are nothing.. nothing like this party, nothing like the honor, nothing like the boat and nothing like your friendship.. but i just wanted to say thanks somehow.. and i tried with my special talent.. sorry.. sorry if they are not worth of all of your quality and regality"

 

Volt said looking at the ground and tring to not make eye contact, he blushed a little

 

"so.. are we.. are we heading to the boat? "

Seth hopped off the bed and joined Volt at the door. He smiled at the others there and noticed the gift exchange. When he noticed Volt looking at him, anticipation in his eye, he gave a competitive smile.

 

"Volt, you are challenging the embodiment of hunting to a race. Hunters are known for their speed." He explained. "But, I will amuse you."

 

He then looked to @Lightning Bliss and the empress. "I hope you don't mind, your majesties. But if you could start the race for Volt and I, it would be most beneficial."

*Taken back by the Doc. Volt's sudden present for him, as he took it off from his hoof and inspected the heavily modified snorkel in front of him with great curiosity, before hovering it to a side with his magic a bit to speak out to the dark blue pegasus with a sincere smile and a respectful nod*

 

I don't know what to say, doctor Volt. I am very thankful for this great gift and I shall treasure it always! As for my relations with the water: I am not a stranger to water at all, since before I met Skylar and Blissy, I used to go fishing quite alot back in the day when I cought most of my food from the wilds. I have even dived few times to the bottom of the sea to occasionally catch flounder fish, crabs and other sealife. It's too bad that I'm not really into that sort of thing anymore, since I can get my sea food straight from the gryphon fish shop in the canterlot much easier nowdays.

 

This snorkel however would allow me to go get some sea plants and other different ingeredients from the depths of the seabeds myself, since I'm an avid alchemist and this would save me some good coin of not having to always get them from some alchemist back in the city! Once again, Volt I thank you for this useful and generous gift!

This is truely a thoughtful gift *she said turning back to Volt* I don't know what to say... I just...wish I had something to give you back in return. But all I can think of is this! *She fluttered up to him and hugged his neck tightly, while applying a quick peck on the cheek* Thank you Doctor Volt! Thank you! *She grinned as Seth asked her about setting up a race for the two of them*

A race eh? Will this been on foot I hope? I'd like to race to the docks myself! I'm feeling like a mustang thats been in the barn too long! As my mother would say! *She fluttered back to the ground with a clip clop and lined herself up between Seth and Volt.* Your Nortica? Would you mind if we three raced to the docks?

 

*The Empress smiled* Well its a little unheard of, running through the castle walls like that...but I'm sure you all won't damage up the place on your run. Mind if I bet who wins? *She grinned again* Alright you ponies and wolf, and who else would like to race to the docs? LINE UP!

Seth laughed at the bets placed so far. "Well... hmm... What to choose... I'm sorry, I'm not usually good with bets. Well, If I win I get...Got it! Volt, you will owe me a helmet that links my other bio-mechanics together. Bliss, you have to accompany me on a trip to the wolven empire." Seth stated. "So my opposition is an ice cream waiter or to be Volt's lapdog for the trip. Vary diverse bets." 

 

Flexing his muscles one last time, Seth glared down the hall, ready for the race.

The second he heard 'go', the bio-wolf sunk his claws into the carpet and flung himself forward. With most of his power going to his bio-arm, Seth gained momentous speed. As he reached his top speed for inside the halls, he had a flashback of his back in the wolven army. Every day they ran the perimeter of the capital. Loser had to do it again. He and his team were the fastest wolves on base, but what else could you expect from the Wolfpack.

 

"This is for the brethren!" He yelled as he ran down the halls towards the open land.

Hey guys... as some of you know, Skylar has been banned permenetly from the forum. We all know the reasons why and the ponies responsible... If they are reading this they are probably gloating, but that's not the point.

 

Since Skylar, our good friend, was a huge part in this RP...I'm forced to cancal. Sorry to all those ponies that were enjoying the read, but it wouldn't be right to continue without him. To those ponies who caused our friend Skylar to be banned, we hope your happy and you got what you wanted. You ruined a perfectly good RP that myself and us other friends were enjoying immensely.
