The captain rubbed his chin seeing not only one now, but two grand opprotunities between the two captured unicorns. "Good work Fang, Sab, Billy, Kinder and Jewel," Slit finally answered after a moment of speaking, ignoring the others and their pethatic pleas. "It seems we've stumbbled on more opprotunity then we bargained fer!" He levitated both Polaris and Strike up into the air to re-examine their bodies.

 

"But captain...this traitor..." Kinder snarled wanting badly for the Captain to give him permission to slit Polaris' throat.

 

"I see great poltential in th' both o' ye," Slit spoke to Strike and Polaris equally, "An assassian that can get in 'n out o' most traps...'n a unicorn that can neutralize magic? Wha' wonderful crew hands ye'd be!"

 

Bliss woke up abruptly, rubbing her cheek and whimpering some, saw Polaris and Strike being held up against their will, but was too shaken up from the slap to do anything more. She whimpered her way to Seth and got under his present arm and snuggled into him for comfort and protection.

 

"Crew members???" All the heads of the Chimera spoke at once.

 

"This is stupid Captain..." Jewel spoke abruptly, "These two caused us injuries and damaged property on the ship...they aren't worth it... We should just fee them to the sharks now. Including that dang mad blue pegasus! You know he nearly took out Kinder, Fang, Billy and Sab?!"

 

"That's a lie! We were doing just fine!" All three heads spoke out again, as the gryphon shrugged at their pleas."

 

"Hmm," Slit stared at the two unicorns for a second as he listened to his crew. "Well, I reckon we gentlecolts 'ave some business t' discuss. It appears me time wit' th' Princess 'n Diplomate has come 'n gone." He eyed Seth and Bliss then, "Since you two are so passionate about your friends, you can go back to the brig to be with Doctor Volt. I do wish to keep my richest guests...comfy," he added then nodded to the Chimera to un chain the wolf and alicorn from their confinements and carry them out to the brig.

 

"Hiss, we always have to do the carrying around here!" Hissed Fang as they hauled the struggling Alicorn and the quiet Wolf, "quit your hissing Fang! You have to watch the back while we do the lifting!" Both Sab and Billy gawked at their serpent brother.

 

Bliss merely cried as the hauled them away, then chained them minutes later up with Volt, who was badly hurt and coughing. She raced to his side as far as her chain allowed her and lifted him up onto her lap and brushed his mane back. "Oh gods Volt...what happened to you?" She nuzzled his forehead, then turned to Seth, "We've...we've got to find a way out of here..."

 

Meanwhile back at the Captain's courtiers,

 

"Kinder?" Captain spoke to him as he chained Strike and Polaris and placed them in the former seats of his previous guests, "Do be a good pony 'n check on Doctor Volt when ye're ready... I believe he needs...some special treatment, t' make his stay wit' us more obvious." He glared devishly at the earth pony knowin fully what he meant.

 

Kinder nodded and grinned back too, though he was quite annoyed he couldnt' finish Polaris off now while he had the chance...at least he could thirst his vengence off by having a little fun with the insane Blue Pegasus. "I'll get my best torture- Erm, I mean...devices ready for him..." Kinder bowed to the Captain and left the courtiers followed by Jewel. She on the other was more annoyed then ever...first an alicorn Princess now two unicorns poltentinally joining the crew?

 

The captain smiled at the two unicorns, it being a while he had other horned ponies in his midst with their own skills he found most delightful. He poured them both a glass of wine and offered them fresh plates of food, then sat and stared at their beat up faces and cuts for a moment. "So gentlecolts..." he spoke in a shrewed business like tone, "wha' will it loot fer ye two t' join me worthy crew?"

"uh.. B..Bliss? Are you allright?"

 

He said trying to set his eyes on focus on her face

 

"what happened to you? they.. they didn't hurt you right?"

He said trying to get an higher level of tone, failing at it

 

"god lord... my chest hurts a lot.. but i am fine.. S.:Seth? are you there as well? are you both ok?"

 

Volt paused a little to gain some breath

 

"t..they used some kind of magic or device.. to put fog around us.. right? so.. that that means they can control weather.. if.. if we get a way, if we managed them to create a storm, we can try to direct some lightings to the ship.. maybe it will damage it... s..sorry.. i am not in the right conditions to think right now... this is the only think that got in our mind... sigh... and HE is with me again Bliss...."

Seth looked to the door and then to Volt. He limped over to the pony and sat next to him. Looking over the pony, Seth wondered how he was alive.

 

 

"Volt, just rest for now. Your other side can wait." Seth said, resting a paw on the pony's back. He then turned to Bliss with a saddened expression.

 

"I can't really think of a way out of this one. I'm already down one leg as well as every advantage I have. I did have a possible way to get the crew separated though..." He said, his expression lighting up some. "It's obvious that the captain favors you, Bliss. With Jewel being the only other female (also her hating you) she would feel insecure. If Volt or I would be able to befriend her, we could possibly bring their loyalty to to a crumbling end. With the issuing chaos, we might have the advantage." Seth explained, feeling a little more confident.

She continued to stroke Volt's head as she listed to Seth, unsure of how he or Volt were going to befriend Jewel so easily, till it suddenly clicked from her memories back at the hub. "I can't believe Jewel would stoop so low..." she finally spoke up under her fear, "I know Jewel Seth... me and Polaris. She's the daughter of our good friend, Cpt Taylon of the Hub Gryphon guards. He's an honorable gryphon and a good friend. He was the reason that me and Night Lights were able to get married in the first place, from his help in escort and protection..."

 

Shaking her head, she continued, "Before we met Taylon though...we ran into his daughter, Jewel. At the time Night Lights went under cover as a gryphon, to learn how to respect them better by being one. Unfortuently Jewel saw him as an opprotunistic male for her to hit on. I lost my temper and tried to get her away from him...and ended up getting in trouble. But then her father came thank to the Tavern Keeper and he sent her packing with her tail between her legs. He said she was a high maitnece daughter who was overly flirtaous with males..." she sighed again and pawed the ground, "I'm sure she had her reasons then...but to think she'd run away from home...and join up with a ban of pirates?"

 

After a moment of considering the options, "She has an attraction for strong 'play dumb' males...Maybe if you two were to play on that weakness of hers?" She gulped then with what she was about to add, "and...maybe I distract the captain?"

"n..nothing... it is ok... and.. what you esactely mean for p.play dumb males Bliss? I am not a good talker, kind words are not my thing as well.. but i think that.. maybe been a pegasus... the task will be easier for me to accomplish.."

 

Volt said sighging and tring to clean his bleeding nose on his arm, without being able to reach it due to the chains

 

"well.... at least you are live friends.. what happened to Nighstrike and Polaris?"

He stared pathetically at the food plate and the glass of wine in front of him, as he was against his will placed sitting on a chair next to the captain's table with NightStrike, while at the same time he just reacted to the fact that the Kirin was able to bypass his innate magic resistance. How does he do that? He though to himself before snapping back to from his mind to the present and looked towards captain Slit, still waiting for their answer. He sighed, took a crystal chalice full of wine and took a major sip from it before returning with a slightly curious tone in his answer.

 

Join...? You'd want the two of us to join your crew? He took another, but longer sip from the chalice to try to make him feel less tense from all the beating he had received moments ago. What makes you think we would be any us for you, and wouldn't you be concerned about us trying to turn on you? Besides, what would your existing crew would thought about having bunch of ponies around them that almost had their flanks kicked to underworld?

NightStrike gritted his teeth and groaned softly as the captain ordered Kinder to 'take a look' at Volt. He knew what was going to happen, and he knew he didn't like the idea of that at all. But there was nothing he could do now. His eyes also followed Jewel as she left the room, he didn't knew why she seemed intrigueing to him.

 

He stopped looking at the captain for a few seconds to inspect the plate in front of him and the room around him. He quickly discarded the wine, "no alcohol for me now".

 

He also looked around the room, once more inspecting every corner, and giving a concerned look at Polaris. Then he spoke directly to the captain:

"Well first off, if I would ever happen to join this crew. I'd like there to be no more tortures for my fellow friends. Do everything you want with me, but just leave them to it until the ransom is payed.

"Protecting your fellow crewponies, that's what I like to see in new hooves," the captain sipped as he spoke to Strike, "But you Mr. Polaris, don't see the bigger picture." He stood up to gesture better of his thoughts, "all of my crew never got along at the beginning... They just needed a little motivation... " he said tapping his long two pointed horn, "besides... You are a managable stallion, you know how to handle yourself in times of distress. I could see it in your eyes you know..."

 

He turned around and glared deeply int Polaris' green eyes, "I could see that thirst in your tribal...wild eyes... You in fact enjoyed battling Kinder...and the rest of my crew... Your fangs quiver to sink into flesh that been denied them so long... Tell me I'm wrong and I will drop the subject entirely."

The earth pony bucked the prisoner's door wide open, startling both Bliss and Seth as he entered. "The master won't let me have my fun with your friend Polaris... But he did say I needed to...check on one of you stallions for a little...hospitality treatment..." He glared his souless black eyes at Volt, and started towards him and Bliss.

 

"NO!" Bliss threw herself protectievly over Volt, "I won't let you harm him! He's injured enough as it is! You can't do this you'll kill him!"

 

"I'd so love to disipline you too soft one..." Kinder shoved his nose into hers before firmly pushing her off Volt, "But I'm afraid the master's orders come first..." He glared down at the helplessly tied up blue pegasus, "How does it feel bird pony? Being helplessly trapped...weak...unable to defend yourself from a torture like me?"

Volt stared at the earth pony's eyes for a while

 

"what do you want from me? do you want to break me? do you want to hear me implore you to stop hurting me? is this what you want? I am afraid that the reason why i will not do that is the same answer of your question: how do  i feel now? chained here? like a poor, miserable pony like you, forced to live in a ship and folloqing orders instead of having a free will, oh yes, i am sure that you enjoy doing what you do, that's certainly true, but is this enough for you? oh maybe it is because i am a pegasus and i am used to live free and without chains.. but you.. you are not different from me  in this very situation, i am chained, beelding and suffering, you are there with your little tool box of gore, but you are chained as well, answer me, can you leave this ship if you wanted too? can you just tell your captain that you want to leave without being slaughtered by him? can you simply fly away from here or just immagine  a life on your own? i don't think so, the only difference beetwenn me and you, is that i know what is freedom, so now get your little scalp and do what your captain wants you to do"

His eyes shot wide back into the captain's as the captain's word struck him true, like a beam of light cutting through a dark mist. Within the very deepest corners of his primal instincts, he knew very well that no matter how much he tried, he would never be able to cast aside his predatorial side of his psyche and he indeed thrived in the heat of a battle whenever he found one, like the one he recently fought against his former tribal mate Kinder and the gryphoness Jewel. There was no denying his true nature and telling him that he wanted to only live in peace, would be lying to both him and himself. However he also knew that he was a determinded pony with a new purpose, and was going to use his belligerent side of him to protect the innocent and those he loved and cared for with his life.

 

His eyes turned from the captain's to the defiant NightStrike's and looked at him deeply into his eyes for a moment, before winking a sneaky 'Play along' to him with his one eye that the captain wasn't able to see and slowly turned back to the Kirin with a sad and defeated expression on his face. *Sighed* There's no denying that. It is my veins to seek combat and everytime I track down my prey and sink my fangs deep into their flesh...

 

His eyes narrowed and the expression turned from weak to more serious and fierce like a ravenous predator. I need enemies to fight with and the only way for me to gain true satisfaction, is to feel the heat of the combat and to see my enemies fall before me in glorious battle to the death. He began to grin devilishly with his fangs shown.

 

No... You're right, captain Slit. I live to fight. I live to hunt.

NightStrike his gaze turned sad as he continued to look at Polaris. Then he looked to the captain and back to Polaris. "So this is your true side after all Polly, you only live to kill and fight? Are you sure our whole friendship wasn't a little game for you after all? I fight for my friends, and you fight just for the fight?"

 

"It seems I already made my first real enemy on the crew then.." He said gritting his teeth at the tribal pony

"You bloody cowered!" Seth yelled, glaring at the pony and standing in front of Volt. "You never understand the true meaning of intimidation! What do you gain from torturing a wounded pony? Submission? Pathetic! You ponies have never learned true loyalty or honor. You never have and never will. It it wasn't for your bloody magic, our nation wouldn't have had to rebuild itself! If you want to show true honor, unshackle me and see if your 'mighty' tribal powers can defeat a wolf!.

Kinder listened to Volt's hypicritcal words and snorted before unhooking the chain to his shackled neck to drag him away, but not before giving him a rightful punch to his nose. "You think I do this cause I'm trapped...cause the Master orders me to do so?" He laughed out loud, a sheering echo that seemed to haunt the room, "No other being would allow me to live with the tortures I preform...I've worked for gangs, mafias...robbers...assassins and terrorists...They all didn't want me around though... Saying my methods were too 'harsh'. But not with the Master...he lets me do what I am meant to do..." he leaned into the blue pony's daring golden eyes, "I get to hear you scream like a mare...begging for death...but I won't let you...I'll make you suffer a faith worse then death...because I enjoy doing it...I enjoy hearing the screams of pain...and begs...I enjoy hearing foals squeal for their mothers as they watch me peel the flesh from their bones... I make stallions rive in agony at them watching me have their way with their mares and offspring..." Kinder was seemingly getting turned on by his own words as he started to drag Volt out, when Seth spoke up.

 

"Wolves...the lowest species of minds..." he snorted, "dunno why council would keep worthless meat like you around... But no matter... the Master wishes to keep you around...But no harm in me asking to have some fun with you later... AHHHHHH" Suddenly his back hoof wretched in pain. He looked down expecting to have stepped in a pile of nails that somehow wrapped around his leg, only to find it was the alicorn mare, who had bitten around his leg, refusing to let him leave.

 

"I...won't...lets you...takes him..." she cried as she dug her teeth deeper into his fur and flesh, enough to cause blood. The smell and taste of it made her want to gag, but she refused to let go.

The captain darted an eye at the two of them, then clapped his hooves together. "Two scallywags wit' opposite agendas I see? Oh how delightful!" he clapped, "I do love t' cause a bit a drama on me ship, it makes it more entertainin'. But come come Nightstrike," he poured the black unicorn a cup of water instead, "surely like Polaris, ye see th' benefits t' joinin' me scurvy crew. Reckon o' all th' doubloons 'n fame ye'd earn."

Volt didn't lose time, as soon as he saw Bliss biting the earth pony he decided to act

Volt thought trying to jump on the other side of the tribal pony and using his hoof cuff, bringing them around the neck of the pony and pulling on them with all of his remaining forces

 

"nghggh you.. you... i did things as well.. i enjoied them as well... oh yes if i did... but they had a purpose, your only purpose now is to die!"

He turned his head towards the charcoal unicorn NightStrike sitting next to him with a burning ire in his eyes as he narrowed them towards him. Friendship? You? He chuckled mockingly. Those ponies are not worth of our attention. Those weak fools have done nothing but denied us of our true nature we both revel in, NightStrike. We two are born to fight and hunt and the longer you deny of yourself of that simple fact, the more you're harming yourself in the end. He leaned in closer towards the black unicorn with a chilling tone in his voice. Say if I'm wrong, NightStrike... You're meant take lives, not protect them. You're the grim pony, a harvester of souls who creeps in under the cover of shadows and takes the lives of those marked for death with him, growing ever stronger with each kill you leave behind in your wake.

 

As he finished his speech, he stared intently into the unicorn's eyes, which were full of resistance and defiance for a moment, before leaning back at his chair again shook his head disapprovingly. Shame, such beautiful talents wasted on protecting the weak and foolish. He sighed. Maybe I was wrong with you, NightStrike. You're just as pathetic as the rest of those fools. He then looked at the gleefully smiling pirate captain sitting at the opposite side of the table, before looking back to the unicorn. Captain Slit could have offered you so much more than you even realize. The freedom of being who you truly are and not being shackled by the artificial chains imposed on you by lies and honeyed words of the weak. Think about it.

"There is only one reason why I would ever join the crew on this cursed ship and that's to let my friends go unharmed." NightStrike said looking at both of the ponies with nothing but pain, disgust and pity in his eyes. I don't desire blood nor death nor fame or gold. There is only one thing I desire above everything and that's freedom. And I'm willing to give up mine, for that of my friends."

 

Then he looked at Polaris specifically: "I stepped from my path as a killer long ago, and I did that out of my own will. After all, how could there be strong ponies if there weren't any weak ones." 

 

Suddenly he heard some noise coming from the bellows of the ship. He cursed internally as he looked worried into the direction of the sound and hoped his friends where all right.

(OOC, Wayzer, Polaris is just leading the captain on, his OC even hinted to your OC that he is toying with the captain so you guys can manipulate the situation, work with him ok... He's pretending, make your OC pretend as well lol)

 

The Captain smiled as the two bickered, while he continued to assess his two poltential newest crewmates more enticingly. One thing was for sure, he wasn't about to let the brown unicorn get away from his hooves... A pony that could neuralize magic...The possibilities were endless! They could easily capture a royal ship covered with unicorns and leave unscathed with that kind of power at his disposal. And with the cunning NightStrike, and his skills of shadow and tools of the art, he could disarm and slay any guard without they even knowing it. He fiddled with his hooves, buying his time...

"I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS!" Kinder suddenly grasped Volt by his neck before he could do anymore with his shackles, sunk his teeth into the blue pony's neck and tossed him against the door, where he'd drag him out later, before turning his attenting to the still biting mare. "You cursed little worm! YOU THINK I TAKE MERCY ON MARES??!!" He lifted his leg up with her still attatched and abruplty kicked her off, flinging her against Seth, then grabbed her by her tail.

 

"GAH!" She cried out in panic and tried to crawl away.

 

"No you don't..." he dragged her back to him, "you seemed to like inflicting pain. Maybe you'll enjoy recieving some of your own!" He suddenly bit down on one of her large ears, coursing blood out of one savagaly.

 

"AHHHHHHH STOP IT!!!" She shrieked histerically, her ears being so big, made them extra sensitive. The pain was horrorfic.

 

Finally after several seconds of punishment on the mare, he tossed her near unconcious body back on the foor, then turned to Volt, tossed him on his back, and head to his...shop of horrors.

Volt yelled in pain as the tribal pony bited him, but nothing could hurt him more than watching Bliss getting hurt helplessy like that

 

"NO! No! stop! stop you bastard! hurt me not her! hurt me! n..not.. her h..hurt meeeeeee..."

 

his voice got more and more weak, his skin turning pale by the second, while he was keeping his hoof on his neck, Volt soon passed away, leaning against Seth

Seth was about to pounce on the tribe pony, but was halted when Bliss was flung against him. With both Volt and Bliss basically covering him, he was immobilized. Somewhat hatting himself, he nudged the unconsciousness Volt off of him so he could get free. Seeing as the unicorn was gone for now, Seth needed to help his friends before they were tortured. Even with them taking most of the pain, it tortured them as he was left there to watch the innocent ponies take the beating as he was left untouched.

 

He pulled Volt flat against the floor, allowing him to have the best possible breathing. Then, with a tear forming in his eye, he helped Bliss up and began to tend to her wound. Lapping at the cut with his tongue to clean it, the wolf began to examine if there was anything critical he could do. It wasn't something serious, but it was still bleeding. There was nothing to make a bandage out of, so he had to apply pressure to the wound himself as he looked over the two.

 

"I'm so sorry..." He muttered, looking from Bliss to Volt. When the unicorn came back, he was not letting the two take any more harm.

He snorted insultingly at the charcoal unicorn as he turned his head from him to the captain Slit, still sitting in his chair across the massive oaken table with a sly grin on his face. He gave a sharp nod to the Kirin, before standing up from his chair. I've made my decision, captain. He stared into the Slit's eyes with a fire of newly found purpose burning in his eyes. I'd wish to cast those burdens I used to call my friends down and finally after all these years embrace what I truly am. A warrior with an eternal urge to fight.

 

He smirked with his corner fang shown. Just point me at your enemies and give me the bloodshed I crave, and I will obey your every command.... Master.

 

After the last word, the brown unicorn bowed deeply to the viciously smiling captain Slit as he pledged his newly found loyalty to him.

The pain seemed to course through her entire large ears, all the way down to the tip of her nose, making her shiver in agony...even with Seth lapping at her wounds, it didn't seem to help. She bit her bottom lip and quivered, hoping and praying for the pain to stop, then turned to Volt seeing as Kinder had left and seemed fed up with dealing with them.

 

"V-Volt? S-seth?" She whimpered and crawled closer to the wolf and pawed at Volt's shoulder, "I'm...ssorry...I just...I didn't want him to..." she sobbed out..feeling guilty and useless. "Why can't I be a...better alicorn...If i knew magic better...and got these chains off...I could...free us in seconds..."

"Excellent Polaris," the captain smiled, "but ye misinterpet o' becomin' one o' me scurvy crew... Ye see," he pushed Polaris away from the table and wrapped a hoof around his shoulders, coaxing him out of the couters in excort, "all me crew who join me, joined at th' lowest o' th' low...They had t' proove thar usefullness in battle afore they could move up. We be nah in battle 'n ye've yet t' prove yer loyalty t' me... Untill we find another ship t' ransack, or I come up wit' other means o' yer worth... Ye'll do me grunt work fer me."

 

He grinned as he continued to show Polars down to the deck, towards cleaning utensils such as a mop, bucket and broom. "So let's start simple..." He shoved the brown unicorn to the mop, "swab this deck... I wants it sparklin' enough that I can see me face in it... Ye're 'matey' NightStrike will join ye wit' his owns duties. I reckon th' gally should suit 'im well."

Yes, master. Your wish is my command... He said to the captain Slit with a bit of reluctance in his voice , who grinned slyly as he turned around and began to walk upstairs towards his chambers again to have his business with the reluctant NightStrike finished and as soon as the captain was out of the hearing range and door slammed shut, he snorted out silently while he began to pretend that he was doing the captain's bidding, by cleaning the whole lower deck with a filthy old mop and a bucket of foul water.

 

My command my butt... He thought to himself as he grabbed the mop and started reluctantly to scrub the wooden floor of the ship's lower deck, while being watched from the side by the sneering trio of heads of the chimera, as they enjoyed the sight of seeing him doing the work of a slave with a chuckling hiss escaping from between the Fang's lips. Hisss... Fresh meat aboard! Time to hiss.... Show him what he's worth hiss.... The goat Billy and the panther Sab then gave each other a gleeful glance, before they slowly walked towards the unicorn with a evil smile decorating all their predatorial faces.

 

Polaris noticed them approaching and while he really wished he could just knock the lights off from the creature, he knew all he could do for now, was to bide his time and pretend to be one of them for a time being, until a more opportune time would present itself when he could strike against the pirates properly when they least expected it. However this didn't prevent him being rude to his new 'crewmates' and as soon as the hybrid creature came closer to him, he raised his head towards them and snarled with an animalistic growl with his fangs shown. You're in my space, hellhound.. He spoke out to the creature with venom in his tone.

Volt slowly tried to open his eyes, feeling all off his energey draining away with the blood from his neck

he asked gasping for air, and trying to get up

 

"y..you re not.. not worthless Bliss.. the power of a pony is not in his fliying ability, in the power of his magic or the force in his muscles... a pony's force is there..."

 

He moved his hoof reaching Bliss chest, pawing her right on the top of the heart, leaving a small blood trail

Seth looked to the Volt, then to Bliss. He couldn't do much more for the wound on her ear, it was a rater deep cut. "He's right. You keep nations at bay. You balance peace and order." As he said this, he moved away from the alicorn to check Volt's condition. He hadn't noticed the bleeding until now. He whispered a curse to himself as he thought how to help his friend's condition. He then remembered that he still had a few shreds of fake skin from what remained of his bio-leg. Grabbing some, he winced slightly as he teared it off and applied it to the open wound as a makeshift bandage. As he worked on his heavily injured friend, he couldn't help but lose a tear or two.

 

"Guys, when that tribal pony returns, I will not let him lay another hoof on you. You two have suffered too much." He promised, trying to clean up the blood."I'm so sorry for allowing this to unfold..."
