"how do you feel guys? i feel honored, and i feel happy to have met an awesome princess like Blissy here, and i said that we had enough royalty for today! i know you are not much happy to hear me saying that but.. LET'S HIT THAT SHIP! "

 

he bursted into a laugh

"come on! we have all of this lux just for us!for US! no rules and no rulers! we can travel where we want! oh Luna aren't you all excited?!? and Rooms that are like we wishes! uhh i want big plasma balls! NO! TESLA COILS where i can feed all day! NO A BIG PARTY ROOM! oh hell who cares.. the important thing is that we are all togheter! a luxous ship ca't replace friends, real awesome special friend slike all of you here! i'd rather pull a log into an ocean with all of you than being in a luxous ship all alone! and we have both! ah... thank you all guys.. and thank you Bliss!"

*Without a moments hesitation he bursts free from the group of ponies and bounds over at top speed to the window, almost crashing into it in his excitement, for a few moments he stops and stares  in wonder, his mouth gawking as his brain barely managed to take in the spectacle of the grand yacht*  Wow...   *He presses up to the glass pane of the window  and places his hooves on it as he stares out at the ship beyond. The sun glistens off the surface of the crystal blue water revealing a multitude of coloured fish swimming below the surface as the grey clouds above begin to break. Dock workers scurry back and forth their daily activities not seeming to notice the multitude of seagulls squawking noisily above them, he turns back to his friends with a wide grin on his face and wagging his tail eagerly*

Seth breaks eye contact to see Volt's reaction. He gave sly smile at his enthusiasm. "I believe there are a few rules." the wolf corrected. "One that I assume will be is 'don't sink the ship'." He gave a slight laugh. "Sorry, just had to say it Volt."

Seth then looked to Bliss. "So, it... makes your room based on what you are like? Hmm... In a way, I'm a bit scared to see what mine looks like." He said, giving some thought as to what his room would look like.

he bursted into a laugh, and after made a loop-de-loop in the air, he flied at high speed toward the window and skilar, landing esactelly few millimeters from him

 

"buh! ahah! uh do you like this big toy skillie? gonna be awesome! "

 

Volt said pressing his nose on the glass near skilar, almost touching him with his cheek

 

"big shining floating toy.. maow! "

*She grinned at Volt's enthustiastic reaction to their gift, as well as Skylar's colt like excitment, even she couldn't help but have her cheeks flush, pressing her face up to the glass, her hooves pushing her cheeks with glee.*

 

 That's what she said Seth!    *She glittered at the yacht*   A boat with the ability to shift its accomadations to fit to its passengers needs and personality! I'm so excited I could just...

 

*She leapt into the air, feeling Volt's energy filling the room seemed to push her to fly into the air along with him, flying in a circle, laughing hysterically with excitment.*

 

 Oh my...    *The empress grinned for a second at Blissy's excitment, but quickly turned to concern*   Um Princess Lightning Bliss...be careful with your garments, they are long enough they could get hooked by-

 

*But it was too late...one of the garments that was hooked to Blissy's neck got gripped by a chandelier. The sudden tug threw Blissy off her wings, throwing her back, entangling her wings in her own gown.*

 

*Chokes out* Gah??!!! What's happening??? Who turned off the lights??? I can't fly??? I'm still in the air??? *panic streaked into her voice* HELP HELP!!!

 

*Several of the gryphon guards could be heard chuckling in amusement at the white mare's perdicerment, making even other visitors of the party gather into a laugh as well*

 

  Oh goodnesss     *the empress galloped over to the nearest beings Skylar and Volt ignoring the slow gathering of laughter*   Can't she use her magic to teleport??

Volt turned to the Emperess, then to Blissy and to the emperess again, in his face a mixture of amusement and concern

 

"well.. i usually call this schadenfreude..."

 

Volt said to the empereness trying to not smile and keeping a dignited pose

 

"ehm.. will you excuse me my higness.."

 

he took off and flew near Blissy

 

"aehm. Blissy..."

 

he whispered

 

"i would love to help you.. but you.. you know.. you have magic too... teleport..  other ponies... i.. i can't help you.. you better get down that chandellier as soon as possible..."

 

he said looking down at guards and guests

 

"uhm... and i thought i was the less royal one"

 

"she is still a PRINCESS!" he yelled to them

 

"she.. she is just having a small drawback!"

 

he continued

 

"if only i have my wrench right here.. ngh.. it is a formal party Volt,  hold back the reins"

*Panic continued to flicker in her mind*

 

 I...I CANT VOLT!!!  *she admitted bluntly out in a shriek* I CANT...I CANT FOCUS...Polaris...TRIED TO TEACH ME *she suddnely heard a tear in one of the garments, making her slip slightly out of her gown* AHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHH *she kicked frantically in the air, feeling she'd fall any second*

*He looked at the poor alicorn princess struggling with her garments in the midair with very unnoticeable grin on his face, before shrugging it off instantly and enveloping Blissy with a blue aura of his levitation and brought her down to the ground level before him, and used his magic again to free her from the tangled mess of her dress that obstructed her vision and smiled warmly to her once she was able to see around her again*

 

It's alright Blissy, you're free now! You just got tangled with your dress a bit, that's all!

 

*He smiled at Blissy a while, before turning towards the empress*

 

My apologies, your highness. I'm still teaching her the basics of basic levitation and so far, she's still in the learning stage of a filly, but doing good progess nonetheless! Still gotta work out the few kinks with the concentration and she'll be a master spellcaster in no time!

 Ahem...  *a political gryphon approached, wearing a blue tie and having a french like accent* Did I hear she...does not use magic...yet? Oh...how shall I say...? *he paused a moment, giving a grin of ignorance*   Odd...Every alicorn royal of Equestria I met have all had magical talents...I dare say...this is a first for me. You must be quite...embrassed? I'm sure this brown unicorn here is skilled in the finest wizardry though, hence why you invited him along correct?

 

*The empress shot him a warning look, but the words were already out in the air*

 

*Blissy sobbed more under her ears*

he blushed ashamed looking away, he then turned to Polaris

 

"meh.. i should respect you unicorns more... i guess magic is not that easy as it may looks to us magic-less creatures...i am just used to tecnology and stuff.. i never consider it in anything.. anyway..."

 

he checked out around Blissy to see if she was hurt then he saw and heard the gryphon speaking

 

"HOW YOU DARE?"

 

he bursted at him snorting

 

"Guess that even if there is an alliance and we all go well togheter some of your race keeps this kind of attitude eh? "

 

Volt smirked ad the Ghryphon with a mocking tone

 

"not gonna ruin this party, if you have any problems with Bliss, DEAR SIR, i will be kindly awaiting for you outside; where i do belong! all fancy stuff and then this kind of treatement to a pony that almost gave her life for peace and harmony! i'd say it is rather shocking! I may not be a fancy pony or grhyphon or stuff like all of you here, but surelly i know a little thing called respect, and you, my winged friend, you don't know it"

*He stopped smirking as he realized that Bliss was genuinely upset , he noticed the other ponies gathering around her and felt a little ashamed that he had laughed in the first place, he decided not to intervene, instead he sat on the window ledge and stared out over the horizon, sighing a little as he continued to watch the scene unfolding before him, he winced a little as he could feel her sorrow and embarrassment through the connection that they shared*

Seth watched the actions take place as Bliss was freed from her dress. Unlike most, he was left without a smile. Unlike the others, he found none of comical. As he walked over to the mare to see if she was unharmed in the ordeal, he saw the gryphon approached. After he said his words and volt returned his, Seth stood next to the two ponies.

 

 

"If you wish to insult our friend and loyal companion, by all means go on forth. It wouldn't be the first time I have had to deal with a gryphon with your... traits. And, if Bliss allows me, I can return the favor with a bit of aggressive negotiations. Volt, you remember when that pirates showed up at the bar? You should be so lucky..." Seth growled at the gryphon, his bionic eye glowing a blood red. Even though he never said it, Seth owed Bliss his life. If anyone threatened her, he would be there for her.

*Noticing that things were about the get heated between the pompous gryphon, Volt and Seth, he trotted from behind the wolf and pegasus in front of them, shot an annoyed look and motioned his hoof at them to try make them refrain from escalating this standoff any further, before looking back towards the gryphon with an equally glaring ire, while keeping a polite tone in his voice*

 

Good sir. You have to take in account, that she was born as a pegasus and spent most of her life as one, before she ascended to alicornhood not too long ago and became a princess. Magic is something she is not yet accustomed to and it takes time for her to learn and use use her powers accordingly, like a young unicorn filly would have to at young age. As for why I am here, is because I'm just her friend and I teach her from time to time with the basics, and she's doing very well if I might say. So with all due respect, I advice you to just drop this subject and return back to the party, before things will get any more unpleasant for both sides than they need to be.

No no please...as you said a scene has already been made, and my friends are here, *she hugged both Seth and Volt equally* I think I'll just...head to my room now if you don't mind, get out of this gown since it's been torn. Maybe this was just our que to call it a day and head for the boat?

 

Prehaps your right *she looked at the alicorn, the wolf, and the rest of the pony friends* Go right ahead friends of Lightning Bliss and Blissy, and freshen up in your guest rooms. When you are all ready, I shall take you to your awaiting yacht

Seth glared at the winged beast as it stepped back from them. He looked at Volt next to him, giving him a slight smile for defending Bliss along with him. He then walked over to Bliss next to Skylar. 

 

"I'll see you at the boat." he said, giving a slight nod as he walked to the entrance of the halls. After a few seconds of wandering the halls, he found his guest quarters and walked in. It was a simple room, nothing too fancy. He laid on the bed, sighing as his muscles  began to relax. Using his right paw, he detached his right arm and placed it on a stand next to his beg.He looked at the metallic stub that was his right arm. After a second he turned his head towards the sealing, beginning to relax.

*He nuzzled her back giving a slightly sheepish grin before nodding and replying*  Sure Sis,  lets get you out of here and fixed up  *Smiles at her encouragingly  as he leads her up the long broad corridors, he turns his head to the side as they trot further onwards, their hooves clip clopping on the smooth stone floor*   Some rough night huh? I've got to be honest I'm still not used to being a guest at these royal event's or ceremonies even though we have been to a few together now  *Sighs a little and runs his hoof through his mane, making it spike up randomly looking rather dishevelled* I'm not sure how you cope with it all, your one strong mare for sure   *Bumps his side against hers playfully* 

 

*They stop outside her room and stand before the large solid oak door with it's cast iron handle, slowly he turns it and the door swings open revealing a grand guest room beyond, as she walks in he kicks the door gently shut behind them with his back legs and lays back on her bed, looking a little weary, he enjoyed the comfort of the soft feather quilt and let out a content groan as he stretched, relaxing his back muscles from hours of sitting. He looks over to her and smiles affectionately*  Are you sure your feeling okay Bliss? Do you need me to do anything or need any help?

    I'm sorry bro... I'm not at all used to these kinds of social gatherings... I feel like a fool being here and that gryphon merely called me out on it. What he said was right I mean, LOOK AT ME!     *she tore the gown off knowing it was already ruined, her man getting tangled up in the violent pulls of her levitati  on. She tossed it to the ground and stomped on it. Her ears perked up angrily, looking more like a wild mustang alicorn then a proper Princess at this point. She turned to a large dressing mirror, lowering her ears down as she continued*    I'm just a stupid alicorn...But long ago...I was a pegasus...So of course I'm not gonna know how to use my powers when I need them! What happened back there in the ball room...I was being stupid, and that stupidity got me in trouble, and in my panic I couldn't focus...All of Polaris' teachings were wasted in that moment... I mean...    *she sat down and pulled at her mane, trying to straighten it as her stress grew*    I know what Polaris says is true...that being gifted with powers...starting from the bottom up like any unicorn filly would. But this was a royal gathering...I shouldn't have been here if I can't use my powers to avoid e  mbrassing situations...like this.  

 

*She looked at her reflection, then turned her eyes to his reflection in the background*    You held back in helping me knowing I was embrassed...I'm grateful for that...but oh Skylar!    *she clapped her hooves to her face*   Sometiems I just wish this never happened to me...because now I'm constantly looked at...constantly judged, more then I ever was when I was a Pegasi...So much so that I always feel the need to hide it...pretend to be the    good mare all those royals expect me to be. But I'm not...I probably never will be... *She turned to him then*  What do they expect me to accompl   ish that they couldn't take care of them  selves? Why did I have to ascend...weren't things fine...before...Did the land of Equestria...The gryphon empire...the dragons...did they really need another Princess that badly that the destines felt desperate enough to make me one?

 

*She got up then before letting him reply. Her hooves lightly clopping and slightly dragging on the old oak wood floor till she came to a sofa next to the large window. She sat down, placing a hoof on the sill and observed the yacht from afar*  My thoughts are like the sea right now Skylar...never ending...always swirling with the tides...restless and...unknown. I'm scared of what is to happen next... *She looked at him then...* You, Polaris, Seth, Volt and his friend NightStrike...your all my cloest friends...tell me Skylar...When you look at me...what do you see? *The sea breeze blew through her bangs, flowing over her sadden eyes * Do you see a great ruler who knows what she's doing...? Or a foolish mare who was given a gift wrongly...

"well guys, see you later on the boat"

 

he said turning to Polairs and Nightstrike

 

he slowly walked out the room, when he was almost in front of the Gryphon, Volt kicked his face with his tail

 

"eh eh see you... Talon"

 

and he exited from the room without turning, he went straight to his room, nothing fancy just like he loves; he grab a big white spray can from his bag and a pair of screwdriver.

Suddenly a blueprint felt on the ground, opening it with his nose he sighed a bit and trown it away

 

"buck.. why did i kept it? nevermind.."

 

he walked out in the corridor leading for Seth's room, located it, he knocked on it

 

"Seth? i am ocming in, i have something for you.."

 

he said opening the door without waiting an answer, he noticed the wolf liying on his side and the etallic arm on the table

 

"i.. i have this... "Volt put his whit spray can near the arm

 

"i.. i started developing it when i was still.. like.. you.. i mean.. not fullt organic... but snce the 'inident' in the mountain.. i have come back normal... and i know.. i know how you may feel.. so i hope this, well, it can't help you a all, but maybe.. i don't know.. i will just leave it here, use it ifyou want or trow it away... i ended it a couple of day before being invited it..."

 

he paused for some seconds looking around

"well basically.. since i replaced Nightstrike's skin completely with a syntethic, light shaping one.."

 

he shiwered a little at the memory of the machine, the hooks, the vat with kevlar and the screams

 

"this.. is basicaly the same.. thing.. just modified.. you.. you can spray it over your metallic arm.. and it will creat a fake layer of skin and fur.. even recreating the paw... it is not real... it is just to cover.. to other ponies it will look esactely like a normal leg... you just need to use it once a day in the morning.. if you need more just ask.. i know,, it is nothing, but.. it is all what i can do.. i am sorry Seth... i swear, i got my blood check and no remaings of the vampire virus.... so.. i .. i can't help you having back your full body... i am sorry.. really... "

 

he then started walking toward the door

 

"oh.. and for the eye.. well.. stuffs are way more difficult there.. so maybe a pair of cool shades can work?"

 

he smiled a little trying to joke, he turned back and dropped his sun glasses over the table

 

"i think you may look ridicolous. or ridicolous cool... just trow away them, i have plenty"

 

he laughted heading back to the door again

NightStrike had been rather quiet for the last few hours. Mostly because there where situations he didn't really knew what to say. The yacht was amazing for sure. But he still felt rather alone. These ponies knew each other for so long. Has was almost saddened by the fact that Volt, who almost lived his entire life isolated in a dam, seemed to meet more ponies then he did.

 

But then he realized that he would never make any friends if he didn't try to make them himself. He decided he should talk to them some more.

 

During the incident he kept his mouth shut wisely. If Polaris wouldn't have intervened he surely would have done it, but it seemed like they didn't need him for that. He knew that Bliss was upset and would have loved to defend her, but figured it would be unwise to cause too much ruckus so he kept quiet and watched the scene.

 

After things seemed to have calmed down a bit, they all made their way to the rooms. After asking one of the guards for directions to the quest quarters he made his way trough the halls towards them, wondering if he would see one of his friends.

*He watched as the others left the ballroom for their guest quarters one by one without much fuss, before turning around towards the large window at the end of the room and walked over to it once again to have a quick view to the outside, as he finished the contents of his crystal glass with small gentle sips and laid to the nearby table with his magic. As he watched through the window, he could see the sun already setting in the horizon behind the ocean that separated the gryphon lands from the equestria in the west. Looking down a bit, he saw the royal docks of the gryphon empire and it's magnificent ships with golden decorations that glimmered under the setting sun, while also managing to observe some of the dock workers walking at different paces at the piers, apparently calling it a day and getting ready to head home, while few more royal guards flew in from above to take their posts around the docks*

 

*Smiling a bit to himself as he watched the calmness of the night slowly starting to blanket the lands, he turned around and began to walk out of the ballroom towards the quest room reserved for him, but not before looking at the empress Nortica herself still mingling with other invited guests near the serving table and silently and respectfully nodding to her, who in return nodded back and smiled back at him as he vanished around the corner into the grand decorated hallway in the look of his room*

 

*After a bit wandering and asking directions from the guards, he was able to find his room and with a single pull of the large iron handle, he entered into his grand oaken decorated guest room fit for a king, while giving out a small chuckle at the sight of seeing how majestetic the bed was and immediately walked over and sat down on the edge with a content sigh. Looking around the room a bit, he was able to find a mini-bar positioned next to the night stand, which looked like it was stored to full with various expensive snacks and drinks if the midnight hunger would strike. However he felt like he'd had enough for this night and instead scanned the door to bathroom over at the opposite side of the room, stood up and went to take a quick shower before hitting the hay and maybe enjoy something to read*

Seth looked at volt as he described what the can was for. The idea for a skin barrier had came to mind many times after the attack, but he never thought it to be such a success. 

 

"T...Thanks Volt. Here, do you mind staying a bit?" He asked, sitting up and looking to his friend. "You should not be the one who is sorry for the events of the cabin. That was on me and me alone. I tortured you beyond any moral sensibilities. It is I who owes you my deepest sorrows, Volt. Not you." As he said this, there was a slight tear in his left eye.

*After mingling a little bit longer with her subjects and politicians, and giving another firm hiss at BlueClaw, she went down the corridors to inspect her honorary guests of Lightning Bliss. Nortica did notice that NightStrike had gone to his room, and peeking an interest in how he became aquainted with Lightining Bliss, decided to visit with him before she didn't get the chance to. She fluttered down the hall way, landing with a soft thump in front of his door*

I've known of her friends Skylar and Polaris, along with Callette, Skylar's mare, and Night Lights of course, through sad circumstances that turned into a blessing for me and my gryphon subjects . *She stood up*

 

 She also told me her circumstances at a winter cabin, a vampire incident, that ended happily with her making two new friends, Volt and Seth. I'm guess just under the facts that you were invited by Volt, is a friend to her now too. So tell me good, former assasion  *she made a cheeky grin at him* how do you find being friends with a Princess? *She giggled*

NightStrike fidgeted a bit uncomfortable with his hooves. He had some more experience with the higher classes than Volt, but he never spoke to royalty before. Especially not having one visit his room and asking him questions. "Well ehm..." He coughed softly "Excuse me, basically it's really new for me. I only know her for a very short while" He chuckled and continued "Like I said to Volt already, it does have it's advantages. I basically met her trough Volt, who introduced me to her one time in between missions.

 

Yep, she's definitely a good friend, most of the time I don't really realize that I'm friends with royalty" He smiled thinking of that.
