"So, while we wait, were are all of you from ?" Solar asks, "I my self am from here, Canterlot. Lived here my entire life" He says looking around at the ponies as he takes a small sip of his beer.

 Alcohol wasn't really Solar's thing, he just never really liked it's taste or effects.

She took another sip of beer

"My parents are still on Cloudsdale,because they work at the Weather Factory,so i'm living alone.

Peace grins and pushes a glass of non alcoholic cider towards Solar, "Well Solar and I grew up together pretty much. We went to the same school, and we've been friends ever since. Though I've always wanted to go to Cloudsdale, but m job hasn't really allowed it yet." She says giving Solar one of her sweet smiles.

"I'm from Trottingham, originally. Settled down in Ponyville for a while to..."

 

'... Repeatedly fail to talk to this mare, who clearly doesn't even know you exist...'

 

"... have a break from adventuring. Now I guess it's back to going where I like."

 

He kicked his chair back - balancing it on its back two legs and grinned to himself.

 

"Prefer being out and about: I hated it for ages, but once the feeling sinks in, it's hard to settle down,. Everything just seemed to... boring."

Squire made his way down a street of crowded ponies and toward the tavern nearby. He'd decided to take the offer on the poster, but only after much encouragement from Oberon. And he still needed it, even as he made it to the front door. He was about to turn and leave, but the spirit who hid within his blade quickly talked him out of it. "Come along young one, it shan't be so tedious for thou to go on this venture. Your in need of both the gold and the experience, you and I both know thy sorely lack both. Besides, this 'peace keeping' job is fairly close to the job description of a knight, if a little more barbaric. So give it a try young one." The hidden spirit told him, in an accent now long forgotten. The young unicorn nodded "o... Okay. I'm just not sure I'm up for it oby..." He said nervously, before sighing "but I'll do my best." He said, before walking inside. As he looked around the dim and crowded bar he saw many tough looking ponies, but he couldn't tell which were here for the same reason as him. With another deep sigh he decided to ask a group of ponies nearby "hello? I'm here to apply for the poster about a peace keeping job. Would this be it?" He asked nervously

Peace smirked a little, "Trottingham eh? I heard it's a nice enough place, but I do agree with you, after exploring for a while, settling down does seem monotonous and boring." She says, then turns to the other stallion who had just arrived.

"You would be correct, friend. I'm Captain Peace Blossom, but most call me Peace or Kaz. Have a seat, we're just waiting on two or three more ponies to arrive."

A dark blue pegasus makes his way towards the tavern as he stretches out his wings,feeling them ache from so much flying.He makes his way into the building as he looks around for signs of where the gathering is happening as he notices the group.He makes his way up to the ponies as he tucks in his wings,"Hello,is this where the little gathering for the job is at?" he asks in a low voice.

Peace looked him over, "It sure is, assuming you're here for the peace keeping job" She says, hoping the last two ponies will arrive. 'what could be keeping them, if they don't arrive soon, we will have to go on without them' she thinks to herself.

She turns to everypony, "I'm sorry we cannot wait much longer for the last two, we must start now. So, I know Solar has some form of training, and I suspect Scribe does as well, but what about the rest of you?"

"Mine is more an intellectual job,but..."

She kicks a chair and breaks it against the wall

"I know too how to fight.But i don't like it very much..."

She looked at the floor

As squire heard the mare he sighed and hung his head "n-no..." He admitted, before but I've been trying to train myself." He said, trying to sound confident. "Very good child, I'd pat you on the back if I could touch you." The spirit whispered jokingly, making squire smile as well. Maybe he could do this after all.

Scribe allowed the chair the drop back onto four legs - leaning forward somewhat but (in a rare display of special awareness) taking care not to obstruct anyone's view.

 

"Won't find anyone better!" He announced.

 

'So long as you don't look too hard...' His mind added silently. He winced.

 

"Just don't ask me to cook. Please don't ask me to cook - its for your own good, I swear."

"I am here for the peace job.I know how to keep a group calm and I can think of a few good things before just making a situation into a fight." Arrow says as he takes a seat and yawns,"Are the drinks on the house?" he asks looking at all the cider,"I sure can go for something to drink." his torn ear twitches as he looks around at everypony.

"Hmm, me and you are much in the same. I am an astronomer and a strategist. An Intellectual, much like you" He smiles at the pony. 

 

Goodd to know we will at least try to avoid fighting. It's also nice to see Kaz again.....maybe later I should talk to her about my feelings

Peace downs another beer and looks at Solar, "Why is he taking so long, he must know i have feelings for him, I've had feelings for him ever since school. So why doesn't he just ask me out already" she thinks to herself, "I..if you'll excuse me, I need to...think on somethings" she says, "Solar, you're in charge while I'm gone." then walks out of the tavern, sits down under the night sky and stares up at the stars with tears in her eyes.

Streamsung couldn't help but laugh at this statement. She could find herself in the same situation when it would come to fighiting. "Perhaps we can help eachother out? I'll cook, and you'll kill timberwolves, how does that sound?" She joked. These ponies were very friendly, and it was fairly easy for her to open up around them. Though this was still a very serious matter, she already felt some sort of team spirit between the group of them.

"So what is the plan now. Are we leaving immediatel? Tomorrow? Next week? Are we going to train first, are we going to talk about how we set up our team? What is everyones specialty? The main reason I decided to join a group of guards like this is because I can give medical assistance... And I am fairly good with environments. Survival, tracking and navigating are some of my specialties as well. I am terrible at fighting though. I haven't touched a weapon in my life. I'd be eager to learn, but I think as soon as I'd be confronted with an enemy I wouldn't be able to do it harm." She smirked a little. She wouldn't even be able to raise her voice against a timberwolf, let alone a weapon.

"Well, I don't know, I am in the same boat as you guys right now" Solar said uncomfortably, " I know about as much as you, Kaz..... I mean Peace Blossom is the one with the orders here, not me".

 

He looks around at the group and chuckles a  little as he finishes his beer with a gulp.

Peace decides that now is a good time to go back inside. She stands up and walks back in to the tavern. She doesn't bother sitting down, and says to everypony, "Right everypony, I think it's time we all get some rest, we will be leaving at the crack of dawn, so go to your rooms, pack whatever you think you need to pack, and then get some rest. Any pony not down here at Dawn will get left behind. I'm sorry, but we cannot have slackers and have any more delays."

 

Deciding it was time for a private chat with Solar, she says to him, "Solar, here is my room number, we need to have a private chat." She gives him her room number then makes her way to her room. Opening her door, she throws off her armor and sits down on her bed, awaiting Solar's arrival.

"Well, if you will excuse me, we will be heading out shortly, so all of you get your gear ready. Please.." He says before heading to were Kaz said her room was.

Solar opens the door slightly and looks into the room,to see Kaz sitting on her bed. He walks in and sits next to her.

 

"What is it Kaz?" He asks.

Kaz looked over to him sitting next to her, "Solar, you and I have known each other since school, and we've always been close friends. Becoming very close, especially since I started working with your dad. What I'm trying to say is.." She stops, she couldn't bring herself to say it. "I..."

Solar had a feeling he knew what she was about to say. He blushed at her, and looked around nervously, being sure they were alone.

 

"K-Kaz.......you have feelings for me dont you?" He says nervously. He starts to shake a little, out of excitement and out of fear that he had said the wrong thing.

Kaz nods, "I do, I've always had feelings for you. Solar, when your dad told me that you were joining the unit, I was..I didn't want you to, because I don't want to lose you or see you get badly injured." She sighs, "But he gave me orders to let you in, and I had to obey them, please Solar, promise me you'll try not to get badly injured or killed, f..for me?" she sighs, "I l..l..l..Solar, I love you" she finally admits, then kisses him on the cheek

Solar Blushes and his wings immediately unfold and spread open with a loud "pomf". He looks to her with a big blush and smiles as his wings slowly lower.

 

"W-well..... I promise Kaz.... and....well..... I..." Solar tried to think for a second, but couldn't find words.

 

Instead, he leaned over and pecked her on the lips and pulled back with a slight smile.

"Well, are you all just gonna go up to your rooms?'Cause if not,I wouldn't mind getting to know who I am going to be dealing with on this job." Arrow says as he grabs one of the beers and starts to chug it down,"Any stories to tell from any of you?" he asks while he continues to down the beer,his torn ear twitching every few seconds.

"No rush - those two have been making gooey-eyes at each other since they got here - they might be a while... besides, all my stuffs right here!"

 

Scribe shrugged - grinning as he tapped the saddlebags dumped unceremoniously on the ground beside him with a hoof before looking around once more.

 

"Stories? A few. I'm uh... not really the 'story telling' type. Red's better at that kind of thing. They tend to sound kind of stupid when I tell them..." He chuckled to himself - Redwave could talk about himself for hours... well, so could he, only when Scribe went on and on, ponies tended to get bored. It seemed that telling stories wasn't exactly his 'thing' - no matter how thrilling they might have been.

 

"Some really crazy things though: like weird stuff just waits for me to come along so it can happen."
