If you do mean IDW...what a silly question to ask. You are denying yourself a further exploration on the Equestria, and get a deeper understanding of you favorite characters as well. If it's specifically for the younger kids, I guess it's up to your personal preference. It's most likely those comics just use pony vectors to tell the same stories on the shows or something cheaply done to bring the $$$.... I mean, I get the coloring books and stuff.... Andaasonsan 3,205 March 13, 2014 Share March 13, 2014 I know there is supposed to be a comic series that's basically just a retelling of FiM episodes with screen grabs and captions. That might be what this is. If it is, I wouldn't see any reason to get it beyond sake of completeness. There's nothing new in there. On a side note, if you need some more "Expanded Ponyverse" I recommend the GM Berrow FiM novellas. (Or "chapter books" or whatever.) I find her stuff is way less inundated with fanservice than the comics and she's very good at maintaining the feel and tone of the show. Okay, "Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell" had a pretty weak ending, but beyond that it's all good stuff. Application REJECTED! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's classed as a magazine, published by a company called 'Signature Publishing', and is only available in some parts of Europe.
