Hello. This roleplay is going to focus on a long journey into the dangerous and flurished Amaranthine Jungle, an area located outside of the Equestrian borders, home to many long-lost pony tribes, mercenaries and whatever horrors that may lurk deep within the dark jungle, but also a place where a great treasure is hidden - and that's where YOU come into the picture. You've been appointed to go find it and bring it back, at all costs.

 

The primary focuses of this roleplay are going to be:

• Slow & Detailed Roleplay - Keep it detailed and do keep it lengthy. No short 'spam-like' posts on here. 200 words is the bare minimum.

• Suspense & Action - For me, action and suspense is very important. You never know what lies around the next corner, and we shall keep it that way.

• Adventure - The ability to roam through the almost never-ending jungle, raid tombs, scavenge 'abandoned' settlements and the likes.

• Survival - There's no system. No rules. No backup. Trust your instincts. Adapt. Survive at all costs, whether that's bringing home the treasure yourself.

The Backstory

 

 

'You're the chosen ones. The Filthy Few. The elite. You are known simply as the Conquistadors, spanish for Conquerors, a band of treasure hunters, and you've been chosen to locate a treasure of great importance to the Kingdom of Equestria. You've been ordered to travel to New Equestria, to the Amarathine Jungle.

 

The New Equestrian Empire is the formal name of the recent Equstrian colonization of the Amaranthine Jungle, in order to open new trade routes and to expand the kingdom of Equestria. It's a vast and flurished land, too big for it's own good.

 

Recently, numerous New Equestrian settlers have told stories of a great treasure hidden inside the Amaranthine Jungle, a treasure that would be worth millions, a treasure that would determine the future of your career as a professional treasure hunter. However, no one's sure what the actual treasure is. But it's not all good news. The settlers have also told stories of encounters they've had with dangerous tribes, ruthless mercenaries and professional soldiers, all trying to either capture the treasure themselves or to protect it from outsiders. Where do they come from? What's their history? No one knows.

 

You've all been contacted via a red letter to assemble at the local docks in order to get on a ship that will transport you to the coast near the Amaranthine Jungle, at the Einhorn Fortress (the main headquaters for the New Equestrian defence forces stationed in the area) not knowing what you'll run into.

 

What will you encounter, what will you experience? Only time will tell.'

The Rules

 

1 - Keep it enjoyable. Keep it simple. Keep it true to the lore. Magic is allowed, as are minor supernatural elements, but not to an extend where you can summon an entire undead and immortal army. Catch my drift? Basically nothing overpowered that'll ruin the roleplay.

 

2  - The setting of this roleplay is set in a period that's a mixed bag. We have a bit of Assassins Creed: Black Flag and other historical periods in South America, such as the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire. Think old times. No guns, no tanks, no spaceships. Pretty simple.

 

3 - Commitment. Don't simply walk away without any notice. I'm not expecting you to post per every single hour, since this roleplay is going to be a bit slow anyway, but just let me/us know if you're not going to post for a while, perhaps a couple of days.

 

4 - Keep your posts detailed and the typos at a minimum. I won't bash you for a couple of typos, but if it's a lot, when something must be done.

 

5 - Feel free to adjust your OC character accordingly if it doesn't quite make a good fit for the roleplay. Just keep it canon and true to the lore, in terms of equipment and weapons, as stated, and we'll do just fine.

Equipment: Various bags of goodies, a black cape covering his wings and an axe stored away in a brown satchel.

 

Short backstory: Royce is the former Captain of the Guards of the New Equestrian defence forces, a position which he neglected and gave up on. He then spend the remainder of his time hiding within various forests and jungles, functioning as a hired goon/mercenary, until he decided to form his own firm. He became known as one of the most infamous treasure hunters in Equestria and far beyond.

Nickname: Incognito (also goes by the name of Agent I)

 

Age: 32

 

Equipment: A crossbow, a hatchet, a dagger, a grapple and smoke bombs.

 

Short backstory: Pure was born in Ponyville. His father died of an unknown disease before he was born. After the death of his father their family fell into poverty. When he was 5 he was abandoned by his mother at a Equestrian military academy. When He turned 15 he officially joined the academy. At age 18 Celestia assigned him to be part of her elite group of agents. They were told all of them had weaknesses and they needed to cover each other's weaknesses. At age 22, Luna returned to Celestia's side, Luna became the only pony Incognito would have full conversations with. As a 29th birthday present from Celestia Incognito got 3 new students. He gave each of them codenames. Incognito is one of the best agents of the Equestrian army. Assassinating Changeling generals and crimelords. But at age 30 he began doing smaller jobs like catching small time criminals and scouting missions.

Equipment: Scythe, a pair of swords, wraithcloak (a black cloak that can ward light or undedicated blows, as well as obscures him at distance or during the night) and a large amount of charged energy crystals. His magic includes a blast of energy, a spell that slows down his opponents, and the ability to temporarily assume his true form for roughly thirty seconds. This allows him access to extremely powerful spells as well as regeneration, but, upon the end of the time period, loses the ability to cast any of his magic for a long period of time, as well as deactivates the wraithcloak and weakens his blows until he rests.  This time period will become shorter and shorter as he slowly recovers power (DM's discretion.)

 

Short backstory: The Jester of Death is an aspect of death- a soul-child of the giant aspect that cuts the strings of ponies and shows them to their eternal dwelling. Originally sent out to collect said pony's souls back to Mortus, he was bound to a pony skull and gifted to the princesses as a thank you for helping him organize and decorate his palace at Mortus, as well as the predetermined reward of letting them talk to their mother one last time. He was given form, and he was commanded by Celestia and Luna to join with the newly-found Shadow Seer, as well as two other ponies, to defend Equestria against the unnatural. He fell into the job well, considering that he already had a grudge against the creatures- they had attempted to invade Mortus several times, after all, and it was time to pay them back...

Short backstory: Since she was small, Lightwing had the special talent to see and understand another people's feelings. When she stopped a fight between a dragon and a gryphon on Cloudsdale, Princess Celestia noticed that her talent could unite all of Equestria, and even the world. Since then, she travels to reunite all races.

Short backstory: Eddie was born in cloudsdale, then him and his parents moved to outskirts of ponyville then he ran away to manehattan and settled there, the house dosent belong to him but to his deceased partner in thievery, he is hateful at times and mysoginistic, he still blames his parents, his long lost brother and everypony for what happened to him during his childhood, Eddie still sticks to stealing since he grew into it, but even he knows his luck will run out eventually.

Equipment: A sword, a knife, a medical kit and a Fez.

 

Short backstory: Born in Cloudsdale. After  a adventure in his youth he got his cutie mark for adventuring. Ever since he has traveled the world. His front right leg has a bad sword cut that gave him a limp and pain. He is slightly deaf in his left ear from torture. He knows Celestia at a basic level becasue he has retrieved some artifacts. 

Important: Atlas was attempting to keep a dangerous and magical artifact out of the wrong claws. After much running he deemed it necessary to destroy the item but he didn't know what gave the item it's power. He destroyed it releasing an evil spirit. Atlas was the closest thing to the spirit so it went into him. It is a complete opposite of him and will constantly fight for control most of the time to no avail. It pretty much makes Atlas evil for a while.

I like this idea and if I just edit Incognito's gear a little I think it can work.

Really I'm choosing Incognito because with him if it is a good day I can make post up to 300- 400 maybe even 500 characters if it is a really good day.

 

Actually for this I may need to completely change his gear because if it is a "new" Equestrian empire then he probably lost his job....

Really I'm choosing Incognito because with him if it is a good day I can make post up to 300- 400 maybe even 500 characters if it is a really good day.

His grapple is a 3 yard retractable rope that Incog. Uses to swing across gaps, Open vents and doors, and pull enemies to him. But as a weapon it can be used to choke his targets. It retracts because of a small pulley inside the handle.
