Alphonse had left the cafeteria, waving goodbye to Dart and headed for the social sciences wing. Sociology was always an interesting subject to him. The ideas of deviance he always enjoyed hearing about, maybe due to the fact that he felt a bit of an outcast himself, being still in high school at 19 and a bit of an alcoholic, but it was still interesting nonetheless.

"Ya, whatevs Xana!" Katie yelled, she already had at least 3 defense routes figured out, she could easily get away if she had to. One offence, one defense, and one distraction. She would probably use a combination of the defense and the distraction if she had to, who knows how strong Codely was. She pulled out her phone and cranked some tunes, Lady Gaga should drive him away.

Shadow looked at Katie with confusion

 

"Xana? what is Xana? Who's Xana?, What the hell are you going on about?"

 

"Play all the tunes you want, you think i'm going to run away???"

 

Shadow turned around and walked away from Katie and back to the school. He looked over his shoulder and said to Katie

Katie was confused by this, she really hadn't been that mean to the guy. Let's see what has she done? Well, she was perfectly friendly and nice to him, than she made a joke, than he gave her best friend a fricken black eye and punched her in the gut! Then he talked of some mysterious building and chased her up a tree. Da fuk? She had been perfectly kind and he had been the asshole. Sure she had called him Xana, but what sane person in her situation wouldn't? "Hey dude, why exactly are you mad at me? Besides me climbing a tree and joking around with my friend? I'm sorry I pissed you off, but I'm just being me! wtf?" She turned down the tunes and made a jump from the branch. "Oh, and i'm sorry you didn't get the reference, I forget not everyone around here has grown up with the same TV I have. In this one cartoon, this guy gave another guy a black eye, like you gave to Benny, and his name was Xana, so, you know." @,

 

Rush nodded. "Yeah. Water. No problem." He brought him a glass of water. "You two could at least ask for something interesting, jeez."

"Challenge accepted," Ben grinned, "Bring me a monkey riding a 5-wheeled unicycle juggleling pineapples and smoking weed out of a banana. Interesting enough? He downed his water and lied back on the  bed and closed his eyes, "I'm gonna take a nap, wake me if the police arrive for Katie. He cuddled up on the bed and drifted away, taking comfort in the embrace of seep. He hadn't slept well the night before.

The nurse had finished cleaning the wound and looking down at her tray, left to retrieve some iodine. Whisper sipped her water quietly, not wanting to disturb Ben. "It was where I used to live that called" she stated quietly.  Whisper chewed a bit of ice to fill the silence.

Rush was both surprised and slightly confused by that. "It was? The shelter? What did they want with you? And why did you have to go running off without saying anything? Is there something wrong? Are you in trouble? Is there anything that I can do to help?"

"They might have a lead on my parents" she sighed. Whisper swiveled the ice around in her cup slowly, staring down at it sadly. "Well anyway" she continued in a low tone " I shouldn't have left like that, I guess I got a little excited. I'll just go after school."

Rush shook his head, smiling. "No, that... that's incredible! You might get to meet your real family, Whisper!  I just wish you'd told me so I didn't run after you like an idiot and end up getting you hurt. If it's okay with you, do you mind if we go there together? I'd like to see where you grew up, and if this lead pans out, it could be huge."

"It's not that important, I really can wait afterschool" she shrugged. "You can come if you like but I'm not going to the shelter, I have to go to my orphanage. I was going to the shelter 'cuz that's were I leave my car" Whisper continued drinking the dregs of ice.

Katie raised an eyebrow, "man hole, what man hole? I was skipping class to blast Lady gaga in a tree." She gave a grin, still standing more than an arms distance away, as she remembered the last time she had joked with the boy. "I mean, I know it's weird but we all need some way to relax." She shrugged, "as for teasing you, I wasn't teasing you. I was fangirling. Avatar and MLP are epic. You should probably take anger management classes, no offence" She stepped back from him like she may a ticking time bomb. "My dad had a friend who resorted to violence all the time, he ended up in jail when he killed his wife. I think he's in a mental ward now" She was off topic, babbling the conversation away from unnecessary Lyoko discussions. "speaking of a mental ward, I read this really good fanfiction where..." She babbled on and on, hopefully the boy would leave so she could slip away to the factory. @,

Genesis had been about to claw herself out of her scanner before she was virtualized. It felt like an air vacuum and with a pop! she was standing in the -Insert- Sector. Genesis opened one eye and then the other to look around and then finally down at herself. She wore a black cut-out bathing suit (it looked like one anyways), black thigh-high boots and mid-arm gloves. Except everything was covered in red-tipped raven feathers, but her hair had three feathers tucked behind each ear in varying shades of red and orange. She had a thin cape too, covering her shoulders and the length of cloth split down the middle. "WHAT THE FUCK AM I WEARING?!" she yelled in surprise.

Whisper smiled at him sadly and the nurse came back and finally began with the stitching. It hurt terribly and because Whisper did not want to disturb Ben, she stifled her cry into the pillow.

As Katie babbled, from fanfiction to the possibility of a Doctor Who MLP crossover, to an in-depth analysis of the elements of harmony, and how the fuck can those pass as elements?!? That didn't help her in chemistry class! Then she got into the periodic table of elements song, singing the entire thing. When she was done she took a bow and started singing other things, one of which was the Pokemon theme. She began to explain the different types of Pokemon, then she ranted about how sucky the show was nowadays. Then she started talking about good animes, and expressed her love of death note! Damn did she love Death Note! She loved coffee too! On and on, the boy wouldn't leave!

Rush took her hand and tried to comfort her as best he could while she endured the pain. He'd suffered enough injuries from fights and such to know how badly it could hurt to get them sewn up. Hopefully he could make it at least a little bit easier for her.

Minx opened her eyes and found herself in the Forest Sector. She raised a hand to stop Genesis from shouting but she was too late. "Hang on a second Genesis! Since you love Hellinx and Devilinx so much why don't you meet them!?" Minx said angrily. With that,she blasted to pillars of electricity onthe ground and when they faded, Angelinx and Devilinx had appeared. She then blasted a third pillar on to the ground and when that pillar faded, Hellinc had appeared.

 

Hellinx was wearing the same clothes as Minx only more breathable. She was wearing a red top that showed her belly and some black tights that stopped halfway down her calves. When she opened her eyes, they were pitch-black. Quickly getting use to having her own body, Hellinx walked around Genesis and inspected what she looked like. "To me, it looks like your cosplaying as a Raven." Hellinx stated.

 

 

Dart left the cafeteria and went over to his first class for the day.

Genesis scanned the area again, noticing that the ground was made up of turns and walkways, the trees seemed to reach to infinity. She peered over the edge following the trunks to the Digital Sea. "So uh..." she wasn't exactly sure who to speak to " Where's the bad guy? What's down there?"

Whisper cringed and squeezed his hand tightly, when the nurse was done her eyes were full of tears and she said nothing. The nurse looked from Whisper to the boy on the floor and sighed. She wished she had finished medical school.

 

Turning to Rush she said " Alright Mr.Gunderson since you're the only viable option at the moment I need you to listen. Painkillers for her headaches, lots of water and not too much excitement. If she suffers from anything like memory loss, bleeding noses or extended periods of grogginess take her to the hospital. Got it?"

Rush nodded. "Yes ma'am. Don't worry, I'll take real good care of her. We'll be out of your way in just a bit." He turned back to Whisper. "You heard the lady. We're going to have a nice quiet day together, and then we can go to the orphanage." He tried to stay calm and cheerful, but his heart was breaking at the sight of tears in her eyes. "I know it hurts, but do you think you'll be okay moving to my room? I'll carry you so you don't have to walk."

The nurse pretended that she did not hear what Rush said about going back to his room and just handed over a bottle of pills. Then with little effort, she picked up Ben and hauled him back onto his cot. she wiped her hands on her apron and walked back into her office muttering to herself.

 

Whisper sniffed and thought about it for a moment. It would be much worse if she was seen being carried into a boys room, as long as she had Rush's support she was sure she could walk. "I'd like to walk with you if it's okay"
