One of the kankrelat-8's gun shot a sort of blue beam at her but it did no harm to her

Codely grabbed his two swords and jumped at Genesis aiming his two swords at her head

Rush shook his head. "I won't let him hurt you. I won't. What the hell good is all my strength if I can't protect you? And I meant it when I promised that as long as you needed me, I'd always come back to you safe and sound. I really want to be with you, and I'm not going to let X.A.N.A. or anything else come between us. Unless... you're saying you don't want to be with me?"

"Hellinx? Hellinx wait." Minx went to go after her but Angelinx stopped her by putting an arm around her shoulders.

 

"Minx, just let her be." Angelinx said kindly.

 

"But-"

 

"Minx. Drop it." Devilinx said angrily. Minx just sat down and idly played with an electric ball. While Angelinx and Devilinx were stopping Minx, Hellinx continued to walk through the Forest Sector. Soon though, her anger got too great and she started to lose control over her fire. It came out in intermittent bursts, making patches of grass burst aflame.

"Katie, to try and calm down Hellinx, I want.you to go into Lyoko. Your ice powers will help with her fire please." Jeremy said to Katie. He saw what Hellinx was doing to the Forest Sector and he didn't like it one bit. Her setting fire to it doesn't bode well for eithe of them.

Genesis swung out of the way, and by pure reaction swung out a fist. Instead of connecting with Codelys body, a fireball burst out.

Whisper was unsure of what to say. She looked up at Rush bashfully and gave him a small smile "That's up to you isn't it, Cliff?"

Rush reached over and took her hand in his. He smiled and spoke gently. "Well, if you'll have me, then nothing would make me happier than to be with you. I really mean that." He slowly bent his head down and brought her hand to his lips, giving it a gentle kiss.

Codely jumped backwards dodging the attack.

 

"Fire powers... your powers seem a bit weak compared to mine but then again, why would they need to make your powers stronger? Your just the background character of there group calling you in to fight so they have a distraction while they think of a plan. Your just there toy and nothing else."

He had managed to trip her over with his verbal distraction. She rolled away and sprung up "Jokes on you, eh?" she swung at him.

 

"They aren't my friends!"

She slowly smiled and curled her fingers around his palm. Her head began to throb again and she buried her face into his pillow "I'm yours..." she mumbled before falling asleep.

Rush smiled and pulled the covers up over her. For a while he just sat there, content to watch her sleep. Eventually he slowly got up and began to make preparations to cook lunch for them. He figured she'd probably be asleep for at least an hour or so, and by then it would be just about time to eat.

Katie nodded and quickly made her way to the scanners, once virtualised she ran up to Minx and the others "Jeremy told me there was a problem with one of your personalities?". Had Jeremy mentioned fire? Fear suddenly gripped her throat.

Whisper mumbled lightly in her sleep, things about parents and X.A.N.A., mentioning Rush by name once or twice but nothing ever bad.

Minx looked at Katie. "Katie? Yeah, there's a problem with Hellinx. Apparently she's setting the forest on fire." Minx told Katie. She was surprised that Katie decided to go in, after everything that happened.

 

"I can teleport you to her if you want?" Angelinx offered.

Rush found her sleep talking strangely adorable, and he'd have embraced her if he weren't afraid of waking her up, believing she needed to rest if she was going to get better. Settling for gently stroking her face (taking care to avoid touching the injury on her forehead), he sighed and eventually returned to making food. Admittedly he hadn't actually figured out what he was making until he had already been wandering around the kitchen aimlessly performing seemingly random culinary tasks for a good ten minutes, and eventually he found himself making pasta, but he was confident he could make it work. Probably. He was pretty good at this, after all. Or at least, he thought so.

Codely ducked and jumped backwards while looking at Genesis with confusion 

 

"If there not your friends then why do you listen to them, why would you follow them here. Your nothing to them so don't listen to them ever!. I've had enough of this fighting"

 

"Kankrelat-8 fire at her!"

 

The kankrelat-8's two guns on it's back glowed as they were about to fire at her. A blue lazer came out of each of the guns about to hit Genesis

He successfully distracted Genesis and she looked at him with pure hatred. She got hit by the beams of the kankrelat-8 but before she was de-virtualized, gave Codely one last look that she wasn't going to rest until he was dead.

Genesis took a big gulp of air when she woke up in her pod. She was very lightheaded and scrambled her way out of the tube.

Eventually Rush finished cooking and went over to wake Whisper up- although he had to admit he was reluctant to do it. She looked so nice and peaceful when she was sleeping. He sighed and laid a hand on her shoulder, gently shaking her awake. "Hey. I hate to wake you, but it's time for lunch. You don't want the food going cold, do you?"

After hesitating for only a moment Katie nodded "Ok, teleport me Angelinx!".

Genesis rubbed her face and was now searching her pockets for a small flask of rum she liked to carry around. Coming up behind Jeremy she asked "What's...what's going on?"

"It smells yummy!" she groaned and stretched. She got up woozily at first and held on to Rush. "You cook too? And how are you single?" she joked.

Angelinx walked up to Katie and held her hand. Closing her eyes, she concentrated and teleported them to Hellinx's location. Opening them back up, Angelinx saw the entire section of forest in front of them lit up with flames."Hellinx is somewhere here ..." Angelinx said.

 

Jeremy turned around when he hesrd the voice. "Genesis!? Let's just say that Hellinx is setting the forest sector on fire." Jeremy said uneasily.

Katie froze, eyes filled with the reflection of the fire. She got flashbacks from when X.A.N.A. possessed her and she had almost killed all her friends,

"Yeah? Can I speak to her? You know using the bloody god voice thing you got?" she walked around the side of him to stare at the dots on the screen. She seemed completely at ease.

Jeremy took the ear piece out of his ear and handed it to Genesis. "When you want to speak to them, hold the button on the side of the ear piece," Jeremy instructed her

 

Angelinx looked on as she thought she saw someone sitting in the exact center of the flames. She yhen looked towards Katie and remembered that she used fire when she was possessed by XANA. "I forgot you were possessed by XANA. Sorry, Katie." Angelinx apologised to Katie.

Codely appeared beside Hellinx with his arm on her shoulder.

 

"You seem mad, setting the forest on fire... you might set the whole thing on fire"

 

Codely clicked his fingers and he appeared on the other side of Hellinx and with his other arm on her shoulder

 

"But why would that matter? You have no feelings anyway. Your just part of Minx's mind where in the world outside the lyoko you have no control or your own body and this makes you nothing. Why would you even want to live if you can't control your own body? In this world you may have a body but your not going to always be inside this world so whats the point? Your nothing and a useless human being... oh wait, your not even human!"

 

Codely laughed and disappeared

Rush shook his head. "I only cook a bit. Mostly just to impress girls like you. And I'm not single. I'm dating the prettiest girl in the whole school, or did you forget?" He chuckled and gave her a quick peck on the cheek. "I'm just going to warn you right now that I think I used to much oil. And I definitely made way more than enough for just the two of us." He handed her a heaping bowl of spaghetti. "I don't have parmesan, which drastically reduces the classiness of it, but I think it should still taste fine."

After Codely left she wanted to punch for what he said about her. She smiled sadistically and began to think of all the ways she would hurt him and make him pay. Then she heard Genesis's voice in the sky. "Genesis!? What the f*ck is wrong with you!?" Hellinx asked angrily. She was still angry at Codely and so she started to set the entire forest sector on fire.

Katie saw the flames go up and her heart pounded, in her fear the wind began to blow the trees, snow started to fall, not powdery and fun, but icy and freezing. That strange ashy tone had crept into the ice, and gray storm clouds gathered in the sky. When the ice met with a flame, the flame would burn black, flare, and then disappear. The icy droplets didn't hit Katie, but she couldn't imagine that it would feel good to take one to the head. A strange aura emitted from them, making her think that if the black ice came in contact with skin, it would feel like something of an icy acid. She didn't know how to stop it, but it was stopping the fire, so it couldn't be all bad right? She watched the snow, getting continually dizzy with the use of so much power. Noting that a good portion of the snow was aimed at Hellinx. @,

Angelinx noted that Katie was dizzy so she held an arm out to steady her.

 

Hellinx saw what Katie was doing and immediately did the most obvious thing. Feeling her whole body heat up, Hellinx clapped her hands together and a ring of flames spread out. When the ring touched the black ice, it fizzled out and disappeared all together. Then she saw the snowstorm heading towards her. She tried to burn the storm but her flames just died as soon as it made contact. The storm hit and Hellinx was immediately devirtualised. All of Hellinx's flames died out, leaving the Forest Sector back to normal. It was as if the flames never touched it in the first place.
