Jeremy smiled at the prospect of a party. "Yeah I remember. It was to get everyone together without there being a XANA attack right? When shall I get it organised?" Jeremy asked her. He had put his headset off and laid on the computer's keyboard. "The party will be in the factory. Maybe here?" Jeremy gestured to all around the room. "I'm in a good mood because I want to be." Jeremy said.

 

Minx was glad that there was going to be a party. It was probably something for them to get together or something.

Rush grinned and feigned a resigned sigh. "Alright, if you insist, I guess you can wash the plates. Now, I was planning to take you out for ice cream or something after we finished, but if class is really important to you, I guess we can always do that another time. It's a shame, though. As weird as it sounds, I love watching you eat. But then, with someone as pretty as you are, I love watching you do just about anything."

Katie smiled "Oh, I don't know, maybe the weekend might be fun!" The words came out slightly choked, she hoped no one noticed. "What do you think Minx?" She asked her friend, taking a seat on the floor and studying the two people with a trying-way-to-hard-to-be-happy expression. She realized this and toned it down, waiting for an answer.

"Hmm? What do I think about this? Uum, I think the weekend would be good." Angelinx said. She sat down next to Katie and looked at Jeremy as he paced around the room.

 

"The weekend? That's perfect!" Jeremy said happily. He then tried to figure out what kind of foods there would be at the party.

 

Angelinx looked at Katie for a bit. "You okay Katie? Your words sounded a bit choked before." Angelinx said softly.

Katie gave a smile, happy that Minx, well probably Angelinx, was concerned for her, but not really wanting the attention, "Oh, ya, I'm fine, just a little," She thought about it, "disappointed with myself, I should have controlled my powers more. Sorry if I ruined your fun." Katie pulled her legs to her chest and rested her chin on her knees. She didn't know why, but Angelinx just seemed really easy to talk to. To most people she would have lied and told them nothing was wrong. But Angelinx just had that weird, but good, thing about her, Katie wanted to tell her everything. But she held her tongue, wondering how the other girl would respond. @,

Angelinx shrugged. "It was fun while it lasted. Did you have fun?" Angelinx asked her friend. Angelinx wanted to hug her but she kept herself in check, not wanting to seem rude. Angelinx crossed her legs and rested her arms on them. She looked around and tried to avoid the girl's gaze for some reason.

Ben listened to the boys talk over the lunch, munching quietly on his food. Then something occurred to him, "Hey, Alphonse, you said you knew Katie, but she wasn't in your classes, how do you know her? @@Suitaloo,

 

"Oh, I met her first day of school." Alphonse replied. "We just ate lunch together and talked about stuff. I'm not even sure what it was, but she was a nice girl. Not exactly my type though." He finished his sandwich and started on his bag of chips. "How do you know her?" He asked.

"Ya, I did have fun." Katie said, "More fun than I've had in a long time, and I can defiantly control my powers A LOT better now. I'll get even better at using them, but I think I just have to take it slow, you know? It is a lot to handle, when I rev myself up, I can" She thought about how to explain it, "I don't know, feel the energy of other people, it gives me strength, too much, and I don't know how to handle it yet. Does that sound crazy?" She asked, worried. She leaned on Minx's shoulder, still trying to figure this all out. @,

 

 

Ben grinned at Alphonse, "She's an old friend, we grew up in the same town, ran with the same crowd. Well actually, we were the only part of our group who stayed together for more than a year." He realized how that sounded and added, "She's not my type either tho. In that way at least. @@Suitaloo,

When Katie leaned on her shoulder, Angelinx found that she liked it. She shook her head at the question and tried to answer it as best she could. "It doesn't sound crazy. Just take it slow and try not to take in too much energy at once. Or if the energy is too much to handle then stop whatever you're doing and try to control it." Angelinx told Katie. She tried to help her with her power problem so hopefully Katie understands the explanation.

Katie hugged Angelinx than said "Ya, good idea." She pulled away hoping she wasn't invading Angelix's privacy and said, blushing, "Uh, thanks. You're a good listener." She sat criss cross and found herself fiddleing with her phone, "Maybe we should get back to school soon, I can probably get out of trouble by saying I was helping Ben all day, but you might get detention. Plus we need to track down the others and invite them to the party." She said the next part loud enough for Jeremy and Angelinx to hear, "Maybe we should make invitations?" @,

Jeremy turned towards Katie. "Invitations? Do we know who to invite tk the party?" Jeremy asked. "You can't have invitations if you don't know who to invite." Jeremy added. He then got an idea and walked back to the super computer. He pulled up some files and then smiled. "It will just be your little group right?"

 

"It's no problem at all. I'm just glad I could help." Angelinx said with a shrug. She hugged Katie back and then stood up. She offered a hand out to Katie. "We better get back to school." Angelinx said to her.

"Uh, ya," Katie said to Jeremy, accepting Angelinx's hand, "But my 'group' consists of people I barely know, and I think all of us actually knowing each other may be kinda life or death...to you know, everything." She looked at the man strangely, "We are kinda all bonded now, and well, it's probably best if we hand out invites, time, date, place, contact info. We would just have to keep this secret, we have way to many people in Lyoko as is and we hardly know each other." She was babbling now. But she stopped herself, "I guess I can just get their numbers and text them." She bit her lip, "Come on Angel, let's get back to school. Bye Jeremy! See you later!" The two made their way from the factory.

Whisper had been running around the past few days, catching up on her academics and athletics. She had been able to come up with a million and one excuses of why she couldn't go to the orphanage with Rush, sometimes claiming she forgot completely. But she never avoided him. Now, on her first day off, Whisper laid face-down in her pillow snoring lightly and hair in a mess.

Genesis hadn't at all acted any differently around Minx, though she never asked about Lyoko or delved deeper into what happened between her and Codely. Sometimes Genesis would wake up in the middle of night with nightmares, but she never cried and yelled. All in all, she seemed normal (as normal as she is) and very raunchy towards Hellinx and Devilinx, taking special care if Angelinx ever popped up.

 

This morning Genesis was only discernible by a breathing heap of blankets on her bed.

Over the past few days, Minx was all over the place. This was normal for her. She tried to catch up on everything she missed out on for the couple of days but by Friday she was all caught up. Whenever Hellinx made an appearance, she seemed a lot more outspoken than usual. Hellinx never talked about what made her set the Forest Sector on fire and she planned to keep it that way. For Devilinx and Angelinx it was pretty much the same day in, day out. Angelinx tried to get her feelings sorted about Katie while Devilinx was just having fun.

 

This morning, Minx was just snoring her head off to try and compensate for her lack of sleep the other night.

Dart had gone on a couple of dates. On Wednesday he went on one date, while on Thursday he went on a different date. He still kept up in school but it was only the first week so he didn't mind too much. On Saturday morning, Dart was tossing in bed, still trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in.

Genesis shoved the sheets off herself and rolled out of bed "What day is it..." she mumbled. Crawling under her bed to find her phone she answered herself "Sat...right...why am I awake...?"

 

She decided to gather her things and quietly shut the door behind her and take a shower.

 

Whisper was already there, having woken up a few minutes prior to engage in the luxury of a nice hot shower without it being hogged. Genesis didn't say anything coming in but she knew the cheerful little dip-shit would. "Good morning Genesis! Looks like you had the same idea!" Whisper called over happily. Genesis mocked her by flapping her mouth and making a face "You're not the only one who takes a shower Princess..." she stepped into the hot spray of her own showerhead. While rubbing her neck she thought for a second.

 

Why she didn't like Whisper she didn't exactly know but most of the time she didn't need a reason. She hated that girl for cutting into her feelings and calling her out days ago, the only reason she hadn't broken her nose right then and there had been because she would have gotten caught. Whisper happily hummed to herself, thinking about the day and of course, Rush.

 

"Aren't you dating Rush Gunderson?" Genesis asked slyly.

 

"Yep." Whisper giggled.

 

"Wow...I think he has the highest dating record in this school..." she answered off-handedly. Genesis shut her water off and wrapped a towel around herself. "C'ya..." she left.

Yawning for a bit, Minx draped her hand over the edge of the bed and unwillingly sent an electric shock into her phone, causing it's wake-up alarm to sound. Instantly waking up, Minx fumbled for her phone and shut the alarm off. Calming down from her slight panic attack Minx looked at her phone and saw that it was Saturday. "Saturday ... first day off in a week and why aren't I sleeping in?" She asked herself. She put her phone back and got a towel as well as a change of clothes. Wiping some drool off her face, she then headed for the showers.

Minx walked into the shower room and turned it on. After getting undressed, she stepped under the shower and looked around as the water drummed a beat on her head. "Morning Whisper."  She said politely.

Whisper had been playing with the peeling label of her shampoo bottle pitifully while lukewarm water poured over her head ever since Genesis had left. Taking note of another voice she looked up "Oh, morning Minx. You're up early for a weekend!". She turned the hot water up for herself.

"Some electricity got into my phone and made it's alarm go off. What about you? You're up early as well." Minx asked. She's gotten soem control over er electricity during the day time but when she's sleeping it's a whole other matter. "I would show you but electricity doesn't mix with water that well." Minx said happily. She got some soap and rubbed it over herself.

Katie crawled out of the place she had made her bed the night before. The past few days had been rushing around and meeting with everyone, getting contact info, and planning for the party. Bur last night she had taken a break from all of the Lyoko things,and took off with Ben to go see a movie.

 

Friday night was a perfect time to sneak off campus, a lot of students had went home for the weekend, taking the two day break to be with their families and go to church and stuff. But Katie and Ben had spent Friday night at a dollar cinema, a place that played old movies for a super cheap admission price on Friday nights. They had laughed along with the crowed and thrown popcorn at the screen, which was fun enough.

 

But when they got back, the night guards were out and the two of them couldn't be seen in the same dorm area without risking detention. They already had one strike from a few nights back, and they couldn't risk more.

 

So the two had ducked into the library, curling up on separate recliners.

 

Now Katie stood in the morning light, it was still early enough for the library to be empty and the place was pretty quiet, except for Ben's snoring.

 

She walked up to Ben, who was sleeping rather soundly, and poked him in the gut, "Wakey wakey, school made eggs and bakey" She said.

 

He snorted and jolted awake, "Oh hey Katie," He yawned, then he rolled over and fell back asleep.

 

Katie rolled her eyes, "Well, if you're not gonna wake up, then I'll just see you later. Don't mention me if a teacher finds you." She left and went for breakfast, hoping to find some friends on the way.

"Mmmm my internal clock always wakes me up early. Oh and...how is your heart doing?" Whisper loaded up her rubberducky shaped loofah and scrubbed herself. She was still trying to get Genesis's words out of her head, Whisper frowned at her insecurities and she should know better, but he was her first boyfriend.

Minx finished scrubbing herself and let the water wash the soap off her body. "My heart? It's fine. Haven't felt anything close to what I experienced that night." Minx smiled. She hoped it was fine. It was true that she hasn't felt it do anything out of the ordinary. When the soap was washed off, she started to lather up her hair with shampoo.

Rush had spent the past few days in much the same way he had spent the previous ones: going to class, lifting weights, spending as much time as possible with Whisper. For whatever reason, they never did go to the orphanage, as things seemed to keep getting in the way. Well, it wasn't really any of his business anyway, so he wasn't in any real hurry.

 

Even though it was saturday, Rush woke up at pretty much the same time as always. Sleeping in was a waste of time. He quickly showered and headed down to the cafeteria, bumping into a familiar face on the way.

He smiled and walked over to her. "Hey, Katie! I haven't really talked to you the past couple days. How've you been?"

Katie gave Rush a tired smile, "same old same old, dodging night guards, sneaking off campus, watching movies, planning parties, playing video games, sleeping in libraries." She stretched and yawned, "What have you been up to?" The two were in the hallway, walking side by side to the cafeteria. @@Alex Kennedy,

Rush shrugged. "Not a whole lot. Lifting weights, spending time with Whisper, just stuff like that. I haven't even gotten into any fights yet this year- which is a good thing, of course, but boring as hell. Your life is a lot more interesting than mine is these days."

Katie shrugged, "If you want excitement we always have Xana attacks to look forward to. He's been quiet, which probably means he's planning something big. I just hope he leaves the party alone.
