Vincent was minding his own business for the most part, studying in the library/study hall building. Everything was peaceful, until people started screaming, and the intercom told everyone to head indoors. Thinking quickly, he rand down to the doors and looked out, staring in horror as acid rain melted plants, and kids ran for shelter. 

 

He then saw one freshman boy hiding in a gazebo just a short distance from the building, so with a sigh, he grabbed a thick jacket and umbrella, and ran out. In short time he was under the gazebo, and he picked up the kid and ran for the next building over, umbrella melting and acid starting to burn his arms.

 

"WHY DO I ALWAYS GET BURNED!?" He yelled, as he ran into the highschool building. 

 

MEANWHILE

 

Arti ran up and caught up to Ben inside the high school building, coat melted in dirrent spot but not completetly worn.

"Thank goodness I found you, just incase your wondering, yes, I know how we are going to stop this, but the best I will do is stay her and make sure everyone is alright.

 

Vincent just made it into the building, and ended up in the same hallway as Arti and Ben. He put the kid down, who said he'd make it too the infirmary on his own.

 

"Arti? I'm glad to see you, is this the work of that computer?"

 

"I think so," replied Arti, "jeremy and the others are there already, so I figured it'd be best to follow up on whats happening here and keep in touch."

 

"Alright," replied Vincent

 

Vincent glance outside, watching as the building up acid began to melt more than just the plants, "I don't think the communications will hold up long though, the wires and satellites mihgt melt..."

"Y-ya, a towers been activated, Xanas attacking, something to do with rain." Katie said, the fear in her gut manifesting as icy cold wind. "W-we, should go find the tower, it's west of here. C'mon, let's run." Katie bolted for the tower, wondering if Whisper was gonna use her super speed to get there.

 

Whisper ran ahead quickly and then turned and ran back, running past Katie and disappearing. Suddenly Katie heard a CRACK! and before she could blink she was scooped up from behind by Whisper. Whisper used the force of her new speed and had swept up Katie. They were now at top speed towards the tower.

When the elevator finally came to the right floor, Minx stepped in an pressed the button to head down to the computer. Getting off on the right floor, Minx stepped out of the elevator an nearly tripped over a sleeping drunk. "Who's the drunk?" Minx asked and jabbed a thumb in the kid's direction.

 

Without looking, Jeremy absently said "His name is Dart apparently. Get to the scanners, I'll virtualise you near Katie and Whisper." Jeremy said. He knew it was Minx but wanted to keep it a secret for some reason.

 

Minx nodded an headed down to the scanners. "Ready." She told him.

 

Jeremy type in a few commands and virtualised Minx near the location of Katie and Whisper.

Min felt herself virtualised and found herself ankle-deep in snow. She looked around and rubbed her arms to try and keep warm. "Hi girls." Minx said as she found them. But they sped past her. Thinking of something, she only created on pillar of electricity. When it disappeared, Angelinx stood in it's place. "This body feeling is still weird. Anyway, we'd better try to catch up to them right? I think they were heading for the tower." Angelinx said. With that, Angelinx walked towards Minx, hugged her, and teleported them to the tower.

"Holy crap this is awesome!" Katie exclaimed flying, then she saw a figure, "Whisper lookit, it's Minx!" Katie yelped bringing a clatter of ice and snow down on Minx's head, but they flew away from Minx as quickly as they could see her, if this were the real world the g-force would have knocked Katie out. @@RunsWithSquirlz,@,

By the time Rush had reached the inside of the factory, the soles of his shoes were eaten through. By the time he made it to the elevator, he had to crawl to keep moving forward. He reached up and slammed the button, slowly losing consciousness as he waited for the elevator. With the last of his strength he dragged himself into the elevator and began to descend. Just before passing out, he looked down and noticed the flowers he had still been carrying were now completely destroyed. As the world faded to black, he mumbled to himself, "Well, I guess it was a complete failure after all."

Ben saw Arti run off into the acid rain, at first he wanted to run after the absolutely insane person, tell him to stop and get under cover, but then he decided that, whatever was going on, Arti was probably part of it, so Ben should probably keep his distance until he had a better grasp on things. A teacher, Mr. Cultrou by the looks of his name tag, was herding students inside, a grumpy look plastered on his face. Ben closed the blinds of the window as the teacher walked by so the grumpy man wouldn't see Arti.

 

"You, kid," Mr. Cultrou sneered, get away from the window you damn kid, go, were all taking cover in the basement."

 

"K, thanks man." Ben responded, heading to the basement.

Jeremy heard the elevator rumble down and stop on the floor he was on. He turned around and immediately got up when he saw an unconscious body. Running over to it, Jeremy hefted the body and carefully laid him next to the seat.

"Huh?" Whisper had stopped near the tower and had deposited Katie gently behind large boulders. She felt bad that she had left Minx behind but she had been going so fast she couldn't exactly stop on spot. At least not yet.

 

"That's oddly specific Jeremy" she said while peeking over a rock at the tower to check for hostiles.

Jeremy had peered for a closer look at the victim's face and saw that it was Rush.

"Scratch that. Anyone know a guy named Rush?" Jeremy asked. He had no idea it was Rush until he looked closer. Rush really did look different without a suit.

 

"Oww. That hurt." Angelinx moaned in pain as she teleported against a rock.Minx tumbled out of Angelinx's grip and fell.

 

"You need to get a hang of that teleporting thing." Minx told her. She got up and dusted herself off, then created a second electric pillar. "Hey Devilinx. How ya going?" Minx asked her when she emerged from the pillar.

 

"Meh. Been better.: Devilinx responded. Minx looked and saw that they were right behind Whisper and Katie.

 

"Oh no." Minx said quietly.

As Arti and Vincent were inside, the too of them took to viewing the news over Arti's computer. 

 

"Authorities have warned everyone to stay into shelter, as they do not know how long this sudden storm will last." spoke the newsperson, as a ticker on the bottom listed all of the affected areas and a Doppler map was in the bottom left corner, "We are currently unsure of the origins of this sudden disaster, bu-u-u-u" the signal started to fuzz up, "We are getting reports that there are de-e- chemicals in the rain, *static*, highly concentrated acid. The Military is working on an evacuation plan, but citizens should get to the most sealed area of their h-o-om-*Fuzz* *static*

 

As the computer screen began to read "buffering", Arti glanced out the window to see the glass begining to melt, as power lines weren't looking too well either.

"Who knows how long the cells will stay up," said Arti,

 

Vincent spoke up, "We better find our way to the basement then, hopefully theres an emergency radio down there. They may try to evacuate us in armored vehicles."

 

Arti nodded, "You're right, there's nothing we can do getting ourselves in the path of this, we just got to wait for the other to stop XANA, and makes sure the other students don't get killed."

 

The two nodded, and took their things as they ran for the basement.

Whisper froze and her eyes widened, very slowly and with a trembling voice asked Jeremy "...why?". She had figured there was a X.A.N.A. attack topside but she didn't have a clue as to what it was. It hit her hard that Rush might be one of the victims along with any other of them.

Minx tapped Whisper on one of her shoulders. "Hi Whisper. He must have been hit by the acid rain like I was. But a few minutes before the rain started pouring, the air tasted like lemons. It was really weird." Minx told her. Angelinx and Devikinx stayed out of this conversation.

The umbrella that Ben had thrown away earlier was now no more than a bubbling mess on the ground. People began evacuating their cars when the 2nd wave of torrent rain hit, the rain was now strong enough to make holes through their roofs. Things like wood and plastic and thin metals stood no chance anymore. Water rushed into the sewers through every sewage grate in the streets, mixed with the corrosive chemicals and bits of material it had devoured.

 

It swirled with various colors. Including deep shades of red.

Codely appeared a distance from Whisper and Katie with two megatanks by each side but these megatanks were green instead of black but they still looked like a normal megatank.

 

"Well, well, well. Going to deactivate the tower i see... You know, I've had a enough of you and your friends stopping me and XANA's plans. I'll let you in on a little secret... When XANA has been attacking your world i have been going into your world and stealing things from your nuclear power plants to help me with my experiments but since you keep deactivating the tower, that means i can't go into your world to use your power plants for my experiments and most of the time i have to defend the tower from you pests so i'm going to end you now!!"

 

"Megatanks, lets end these girls!" The megatanks slipped onto there sides and opened to fire, As they fired instead of the wall of lazer being straight it was instead to the side/horizontal.

Vincent looked at Ben, "Actually, if you want to go check on your sister, there is a way through the bioler room in the dorm building. But you'll have to stay under the side of the buildings roofs to get there."

 

Mr. Cultrou marched by as they talked, and he heard a mention of going outside, so he turned at Ben, Arti, and Vincent, "You are NOT going outside! The emergency radio told everyone to stay sheltered, because they don't know how long this demonic torrent will last! If anyone leaves, they will likely get themselves killed, when we would have been evacuated by the military anyway!"

 

The radio made static as it spoke again after an alarm, "Authorities have advised against using any plumbing utilities, saying the acid is likely melting into the wa- p-es- *Static* Most utilities aren't likely going to last lo- *static* stay in shelter and only run if you mu-u-u *static*"

 

"Great, sound like the radio and cell towers won't stand much longer..." said Arti with a grumble.

Minx panicked and shot lightning out of her hand to blast the target of the Megatank. It hit and the megatank exploded. It only exploded after it shot the laser so all three Minxes quickly laid themselves flat to the ground to avoid the blast.

 

Jeremy was panicking at all these new monsters. He couldn't believe that XANA still has the ability to create new monsters.

Katie grinned when she realized what she had done, she had never made black ice before, it was kinda scary. In her amazement, the weather started to go wild again, beginning to cover everything in a thick sheet of snow, the icy wind picked up and Katie mentally pushed it to slap Codely straight in the face leaving a huge red spot. She laughed, but the sudden power drained her and the snow disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared. The black ice took with it the disappearing corpse of the megatank. For a second she was light headed, but she shook it off and grabbed her dagger, hopefully she could figure out how to use it. @,@,

 

"What do you mean 'won't remember?" Ben asked, then his eyes bugged, "Wait! I've seen Torchwood, dude, I am so not accepting any drinks from you." He took a step back, "I don't know my way to this 'factory,' but, if you guys want to show me, that would be great. But again, I'm not accepting any drinks." Maybe this will be like Torchwood, he thought, But this time I won't be dumb enough to write my plans down on the computer. @@Secret Person,

Arti turned to Mr. Cultrou, "Look, sir, This guy sister is not accounted for! What do you expect us to do?"

 

Mr. Cultrou's expression changed, "What?! That Katie girl?! Dangit... Well where was she last dammit!?"

 

Vincent held up his arms, "I think I know where she went, that Is what I was telling this guy."

Bits of her hair had become singed with Minxs sudden electrical outburst and she squeaked in surprise. She ducked to the ground "WOAH!" Whispers voice rung with wonder.

 

"Can anyone deactivate the tower?" Whisper asked flatly. For one of the few times in her life she was extremely mad and didn't exactly know how to handle it. Her words carried a small bite. She had been low to the ground as the lasers flew over her head. Whisper was taking note of the floating rocks and the narrow bridge between them and the tower.

Katie was having fun now, she didn't know how she could suddenly use a dagger, nor did she know what she was using the dagger against, but she slashed at something and stabbed it near the heart, but the thing didn't die, "Hey," she yelled to the others dodging lasers, "What do I hit at?"

 

Ben blushed,"She's not my sister," he said so only Arti could here, "Well, she's kinda like my sister, but not really."

"Minx? Minx are you okay?" Whisper called over to her. She was taking the rope from her waist and tying it through a loop one of her arrows had. Apparently the arrows had more uses then for just sticking monsters and Whisper was still discovering them.

"The eye!?! They don't have-oh," she stabbed the thing through the Xana mark, getting her dagger caught in it, and it fell dead, but not before throwing her trough the air, right over the virtual sea.  She screamed, but she landed safely-ish. A block of ice had formed below her and she landed on it, hard. She was now maybe a foot from the sea, suspended on a floating block that had no support other than her mind. Land towered high above her. She would have to levitate the thing, but she didn't know if she could, "Help!" she yelled.

Minx had her eyes screwed shut tight as she felt that electrical surge from before. "I really need to control that." She said to herself before opening her eyes and getting up. "I'm fine Whisper." Minx called back. She looked over to Angelinx and Devilinx and saw that they were both fine. They both got up at the exact same time and Minx was slightly creeped out by this.

 

"Why is your hair standing on end?" Devilinx asked her. Then she burst out laughing.

 

"What!? Stupid electrical surge ..." Minx muttered.She walked over to Whisper and tried to figure out what she was doing. "What are you doing?" She asked her.

Anhelinx heard Katie and walked to the edge of the digital sea. Wincing and holding her head, Angelinx immediately teleported down, hugged Katie and teleported back to the group. Releasing Katie quickly, Angelinx stumbled and nearly fell into the Digital sea herself. Angelinx saved herself by teleporting back to the group and managing to stay upright.

"I was going through my quiver when I noticed that some of my arrows are different. This one had a loop and I finally figured out what the rope around my waist was for. If I can get that boulder over there" she pointed to one high up"...I can swing it all the way to the tower." She looked back at Katie "She's stuck over the Sea...I can't get to her..."she mumbled.

 

"Or Angelinx could teleport someone to the tower...? It might be too far"
