Who would win in a battle between good Celestia and Bad Celestia?

My money's been on Princess Celestia since Day 1. Empress Celestia (as I call her) may be evil, but Princess Celestia has shown to go all out when her Little Ponies are threatened.

Bad Celestia might be able to win if she fights dirty. You know, sand to the eyes and begging for mercy. Celestia is pretty smart though so I'm not sure if she'd fall for it.

This is what would probably swing the fight in Bad Celestia's favor, if anything. That and I think that when you're evil you have less qualms about pushing the boundaries of your magic and powers so Bad Celestia might develop forbidden spells or the like.

 

One thing going for Good Celestia would be the Elements. As far as we're aware they're designed specifically to deal with problems like this, and deal with them very efficiently. Good Celestia would probably gather them up and try to banish her evil self or outright redeem her or whatever.

Princess Celestia doesn't exactly have the best track record when it comes to fighting villains. In fact, I don't recall one instance where she won by herself. Plot demands that she lose so that the main characters may save the day in her stead.

Bad Celestia would win, because we've seen that our Celestia would do anything to protect her subjects even when she does lose the battle then the plot announces that we have the main characters save the day.
