So, I found my character (it's been a year since I made him and my goodness I have come a long way), and there is a lot of refurbishing going on in the document. But, before I get too much farther, I have a few questions:

1. Since this is a human rp, does that mean the locations of the living world will be our real world?

2. To add to that, would giving a character a more English sounding name be outlandish?

3. What exactly are you looking for in the character application? Aside from the usual 'name, age, gender, race, appearance, personality, backstory', anything else to add? I would assume a segment about the Zanpakuto - including a description of it's base, shikai and (if achieved) bankai form, and such things, but anything else specifically?

1. I guess so. It's mostly going to be set in Soul Society anyway, though.

 

2. No. I'm guessing we'll end up with a mashup of pony names, western names, and maybe a few japanese names thrown in. So do whatever you want.

 

3. Everything you mentioned, as well as which squad they're in (if you have a preference, otherwise I'll just assign you to one) and you're desired rank (again, if you have a preference). I might even allow you to be a captain, but I'll be especially harsh in reviewing your character if you ask for it. I think that's everything you should need.

Yeah. I'll send you what I have, and you should try to find the episodes where Ichigo is training with Urahara. Generally any episode with Urahara in it is informative.

personality- keeps to himself. Short tempered.

backstory- Woke up in soul society with nothing but a rage that He didn't understand. He soon joined the 13 court guard squads because of his strangely high spiritual pressure. When he attained his Shikai, he went into a frenzy due to the influx of power, taking down the squad 9 and 10 barracks before he was stopped due to the interference of the head captain. During his rage, he killed the only friend he ever made during his time in the afterlife, among others. Due to this, he volunteered to have his power dampened with a seal until he was strong enough to control it. The seal takes up all of his back and can only be taken off by someone of higher rank than him. He was placed on squad 13 so that the captain could keep an eye on the seal.

Squad- 13

Zanpakuto- Ikari, which translates to "Wrath." Sealed state is a large broadsword, like cloud strife's sword. Call to it's Shikai form is "Rage against the heavens, Ikari." The Shikai makes the sword disintegrate, and the metal forms on the user's limbs. Reitsu can be absorbed through the arms and the body starts to produce more spirit energy as well. This energy can be used to strengthen the user or attack the enemy directly. This also has an effect on the user's mental state as well, making them prone to anger. The Bankai form is "Kemono no kaminoikari," which translates to "Divine wrath of the beast." It looks the same, with the addition of 4 more arms, larger than average and golden in color. The Bankai allows the user to use the Shikai abilities to a far greater extent, distorting the space around the user. This form however renders the user blinded by rage, attacking everything in sight.

I like your character in theory, but how does he have bankai if his power was sealed as soon as he learned shikai? Besides that, you're accepted for sure.

That bankai is just for future reference, he won't have it in the beginning. I changed it to a power dampener since I think that works better.

Hey look, I'm finally getting this put up here. The main problem I had was the back-story - and even now it feels lacking.

 

Anyway, here's the link for the GDoc Bio of Church, with whom I'm being very optimistic in ranking.

I'm seriously impressed. You clearly put a lot of effort into this. The only reason I'm at all hesitant to grant you the position of captain is that it's likely going to be somewhat more time consuming than other positions, and you mentioned that you were already busy with other role-plays. That said, I leave it up to you whether you think you have time for it. Regardless, you're accepted.

Hmm... I'll likely be able to make time for it. I should be able to ration my posting for most roleplays (I try to keep gaps in my posting to two days at most, though obviously that is not always possible).  Besides, it'll be a good exercise, and the school year is nearly up, after which I'll hopefully have more time.

It's no problem. We aren't ready to start yet anyway. I'd still love to have you along, and as long as you can post at least once every day or two, keeping up shouldn't be an issue. Just don't take a captain or lieutenant position and I doubt you'll have too much trouble. But of course, that's not to say that you aren't free to back out if you so choose. I won't hold it against you or anything.

If you have time, it may be best to start from scratch. However, I think if you made a new backstory, Katie should work fairly well. I wouldn't worry about putting too much detail into the backstory since you aren't a hardcore fan of the series, and I think you'll be alright for the purposes of this RP without going too in-depth.

 

As for Star Trot, I guess I'd say pretty much the same thing, Katie would be better suited for it, I think.
