David looks at Lewis in disbelief. "Wait, is the NLR still around? I've been in hiding since...well, since a long time. I was...no! Stop innterupting me...he's just a kid, don't see how he could be a SE agent...just shut up." Having seemed to have lost focus when he started talking to himself, he looked back at Lewis, seemingly oblivious to his lapse. "Right. I was part of the NLR, but something happened a while back, and I, well, I haven't come out in a while. I have a bunker I've been living in, here, I'll show you. I got food and drink," he pauses a beat as he examines Lewis,"but you might not be old enough. I got fresh water to. C'mon." With that he turns around and walks back in to the hole he blew in to the wall, taking a winding tunnel down down down. He walks past many other openings before finally coming out in to a large room. It was furnished with a bed, a sink, a stock pile of weapons and food, (both of them very large) and what could be a security booth covered in screens showing various parts of Ponyville and Canterlot.

Lewis follows him in and thinks to himself "Why was he talking to himself?... Well I guess I can't judge him cause I'm talking to myself..." As they enter the large room Lewis stops at the door and gasps quietly, taking in the room. He's amazed to the amount of both food and weaponry, he trots over to the monitors and asks. "H-How are you getting this footage? I thought that ponyville and canterlot were destroyed while the princess' were fighting...." He turns to David.

Bah! Messenger duty, because I need to be humiliated further. Of course, he did not say this out loud, or give any sign whatsoever that he was thinking these thoughts. Instead, he looked at her thoughtfully. "It shall be done." He bowed deeply once again before turning and leaving.

 

As he was on the way out- with another glare at the guard to ensure that it was, indeed, him- he halted suddenly, a familiar presence entering his mind. And, suddenly, words appeared in a dull, monotonous voice.

 

The being you are after takes the appearance of a wolf. He works for Luna. Follow her directives, and if Celestia demands that he be imprisoned or killed, refuse and say that he has a greater purpose. He will be one of the ones destined to unweave this catastrophe.

 

Agririon nodded to himself before moving forward, examining the cloud city for this wolf or Rainbow, whichever came first. Before he could find either of them, he was greeted with yet another psychic message. Warn Celestia that if she continues these hostilities, I will call the Fundamentals together to examine their actions and, if necessary, remove them. They cannot continue to have hostilities every other millennium.

 

Grinning to himself, he spotted a blur of rainbow color, and quickly began to move towards it, shooting a telepathic expression of urgency in her direction.

Rainbow Dash stops in mid flight as she recieves the telepathic feeling. Looking towards your direction, she zooms over to you, trailing a rainbow trail. (((wow...I'm sorry but that was really poorly written. I'll try to change that to someting better later)))

As she lands before you, she smirks. "What's got your tail in a twist? Celestia get you in trouble or something?"

"Oh, sorry to hear that..." Red answered. He was now sure that the unicorn wasn't part of some kind of evil cult.

"Well I've spent a couple of days here now and as far as I'm concerned, nobody else is alive here..."

The remains of Ponyville caught his eye. That's it. He couldn't spend another minute here. It was certain that he had to leave now or this place would turn him insane. The ruins, the corpses... everything here was slowly chipping on his brain and this guy was his ticket out of here. Probably.

Turning back to the unicorn, he said: ''Well, I'd better introduce myself... I'm Redstorm or Red for short.''

Not waiting for an answer, he continued: ''Say, if you were going somewhere else, maybe search for the pegasus or whatever, could I come with you?''

"Stupid stupid stupid. Should've had a plan. Well, I guess we could just follow the train tracks out of here. They're bound to lead somewhere right?" he stands up and extends his hoof. "Glad to meet a real pony finally after all this time in these ruins. I'd be glad of a traveling companion."

Dark Wing looked around the frozen mountains, still wearing his Night Guard armor as he looked out and sighed. "Well, now all of Equestria knows what the bat ponies have been through brother. I wish I could say that I feel sorry for all of them, but I've dedicated my live to the pony that saved our colony, Princess Luna. If it is her wish to be at war with her sister, I stand with her 110 percent. I hope that you also stand with her Paladin."

 

Dark Wing looked in the distance. "It feels wrong to be so far away from Princess Luna, but it was her decision to send us here for some reason. I can only hope that she gave you her orders. I hate standing around waiting."

Paladin walks in, his armor still in, sword clanking at his side. "Brother! I just received word. Orders are in and we have quite the job to do. Here, look at these." Paladin hands Dark Wing a scroll. Opening it, you read

I have two tasks for you. First, make sure the new Lunar Academy in the mountains is fairing well, and make note of anything you need.

Second, I would like you to take one of the trains we captured, and contact that my sister's silly niece, Cadence. See if anything can be done to change her mind. If nothing can be done, then report back to me immediately.

The tan unicorn smiles at him. "Lee. Charmed. I, well, I actually wasn't thinking that far ahead. I don't have a way out of here." Lee sits down and bangs a hoof aginst his head. "Stupid stupid stupid. Should've had a plan. Well, I guess we could just follow the train tracks out of here. They're bound to lead somewhere right?" he stands up and extends his hoof. Lewis watches him leave, his jaw practically on the floor. "d-did I say something wrong?... He kinda just stormed off talking to himself....." He shrugs off the thought until he hears the thud of the knife in the wood. His ears fall back and he cautiously, and quietly, walks over to the room David had entered and peeked in.

Agririon started talking immediately, in a kind of shorthand.

 

"There's a wolf over here that has a bomb, and he plans to blow it up. Celestia wants you to capture the wolf and send it to her, and bring the bomb to the scientists." He blinked and scanned the cloud cover. "And if you don't believe me... look over there, on that cloud platform.

Redstorm happily shook his hoof and smirked.

''Well I'm happy to meet you, Lee. Let's get going, shall we?'' He says with a tone of excitement in his voice.

After a few seconds, Red let's go of the unicorn's hoof and looks around for the train station... or what's left of it. The train tracks finally catch his eye and he starts walking for them, hoping for Lee to follow him.

Every once in a while, you think you hear the monotonous hoof steps of soldiers, but Lee is always able to find a good enough hiding spot to let you and him evade them. It seems to you like he's able to hide just a lite to easily, like he's done this before. When you finally get on to the train tracks Lee turns to you and asks "North or south?"

As you step inside, you see David standing there, his back to you, knives levitating above him. He's hurling them, one after another in to a wooden practice dummy. As you enter, he smiles. "Ah,welcome to my practice room." He sets the knives down and walks over to you. "If you like, you can practice tossing that life of yours at those dummies over there, or if you want to use some of mine, I just put them down on that table. Feel free to do what ever you want here. What's mime is yours." He smiles again, then goes over to a wall where some swords are hanging up. Grabbing one, he starts circling another dummy, backing, slashing and blocking in a deadly, graceful dance of flashing steel. As you had walked in here, you'd seen other tunnels branching off of here. Do you explore them? Or do you explore the training room? There's all kinds of weapons placed around it. Crossbows, swords, daggers, knives, even a spear or two. Or do you try to talk to David and ask him some questions?

Do not attempt to harm him in any way. Do you understand?" You feel relieved that that's all she wanted. Death had already told you the same thing so following her order would be easy. The you hear the second part of her orders. "And I want you to assist him any way possible. He may need some help evading the guards Celestia has around the city." You watch in dismay as RD and four other pegasi shoot off in the intruder's direction. What do you do?

Seth began his walk for the cloud city. He was just on the outskirts on a semi-stable cloud at the present time. It he were to stay out here forever, he would easily spotted by a patrol. It was odd that he wasn't picked up now with those stunts he pulled with that glider.

Oh well.

 

"Well Seth," he muttered to himself as he hiked towards the city. "At least you can apply for workmanship comp for crash landing in the enemy hq. Ok no, but maybe you will get a medal. That's probably the best you will get Sethy." He finished.

 

He was roughly half way there when he Braganza to see patrols of ponies. One in particulate was leaving a rainbow con trail.

 

"So, this is were she ended up. All the way out in cloudsdale helping the sun goddess. I just hope for both of our sakes our paths don't cross."

As you walk across the clouds towards the floating city, you see a Pegasus fly overhead, then turn around and shoot off towards a rainbow colored streak in the distance. After a moment, there's what you recognize as a sonic rainboom and you see what can only be Rainbow Dash rocketing towards you, two more pegasi hot on her trail as back up. "Oh! If it isn't Seth! Didn't know you decided to work for the traitor. Feelimg alright? Hope your healed up from our last encounter." She mocks as she hovers overhead. Edited April 4, 2014 by The Author

Seth stood up and posed himself in a light defensive stance. He knew he couldn't let her have it. "Dash, this weapon has untold power. Frankly, it shouldn't belong in ether sides possession. I am not going to give it to you, Dash. I'm sorry, but you and I know if Celestia has it, she would use it on Luna. This war is pointless in my eyes, so, just let me go Dash." He asks, looking into her eyes. "I will remove this bomb from this war, and never return to the battlefield. If you deny me that, then... I'm sorry, but I will not let this fall to a pony's hands again."

Dash's eyes widden. "You don't mean that that's..." giving Seth an angry look, she says "well, you've doomed us then. The scientists of the NLR made that bomb once, they can make it again. We need it to deter them from using another on us." The two pegasi that had been following her catch up and you recognize them as ex-members of the Wonder Bolts. "Please don't make this harder then it needs to be. We need that bomb. If you don't give it to us, we have nothing to defend ourselves with."

Keep in mind, however, that you will need to have some patience. And if your agent refuses to let me help him, there's nothing I can do. Besides, he finished grimly, your sister gave me the first order.

 

He stood up and stalked over carefully, avoiding the shifting gaps in the clouds. "Alright, I'm tired of playing messenger. You, wolf. Give the rainbow mare the bomb and come with me, or I will remove your head." To emphasize his point, he withdrew a pair of sickles, glinting evilly in the light.

 

At the same time, Agririon quietly gave a mental message to the wolf. I have been told to assist you, and, thus, I need you alive. Don't worry, the bombing run can wait anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Do me a favor, don't struggle, and just come with me, Agent Eclipse of the New Lunar Republic.

Time seemed to slow, then pause for Agririon. A dark black unicorn, whose coat was the color of midnight, and eyes slitted like that of a dragon, approaches you. He smiles and you see that his teeth are pointed. He's no normal pony. As if to confirm this, you hear a dkeep bass sound. It takes a moment but you finally recognize the sound as a voice. Looking at the mysterious unicorn, you see his mouth hasn't shifted from that pointy grin but the voice continues. "You must consider your alligences young one. Does not Luna's order of the use of this weapon make her inellgible for the continuing use of your service? And if Celestia decides to also use this weapon, would that not disqualify her as well?" He takes to steps forward and the world seems to darken. "Take care, lest you shall be manipulated by others for their own nefarious purposes." With that, the unicorn disappears. The world goes back to normal and time starts up again. No one else seems to have seen that daunting figure.

"And I can't imagine what ever spell you had cast on you that let's you walk on clouds is going to last to much longer. Are you sure that this is your final choice?"

((I'm not sure you guys understand. There is a difference between a 'scythe' and a 'sickle'. Easy to get confused. Both are tools of reaping, and both the stereotypical tools of Death. But whatever.))

 

SAomewhat haunted by his elder's advice, he paused before speaking. "There is a way around that..." He quietly channelled some of his spirit into weaving a spirit field around the bomb, containing the explosion if it was set off and prevented it from going anywhere, as well as cloaking it from those who did not specifically know that it was there. "Excellent. Well, then, I will just do this..." He guestured with his hoof, and a band of energy secured his legs. He could not move them above what was needed to walk. "And then we will go for a walk to deliver the bomb ourselves, hmm? Come along..." Getting behind him, he started to frog-march him over in the direction of the labs before turning around. "Thanks for assuring my suspicious, and assisting me in cornering him. Don't worry, I'll make sure Celestia knows of your assistance. And, don't worry, I'm not going to drop him off a cloud bank. Come along, now..."

As Seth and Agririon rounded the corner, blocking himself from view, he sighed before silently making his way towards his dwelling- well, the one granted to him. He never even stayed in it, so he was unsure if it was empty or whatever. He quickly entered- making sure he wasn't followed- followed by a half-invisible Seth. With his aura blocking or disabling any security devices that might be in teh room, he turned to the wolf. "Well... that was intriguing. We're going to have to move fast- I've got to get a facsimile of this bomb made. He looked at it carefully and turned around and around it, memorizing its every curve, before quickly getting to his magic to create a fake copy of the bomb. "Alright. If you have any questions, let me know now. We've got work to do."

"What have you done? Have you convinced them to set off that explosive? Killing thousands?" "I merely initiated a sense of doubt. Who knows what the reprocusions of my actions will be? I merely know that it will be deliciously chaotic, and possibly bloody." "This was not part of our wager!" "It may not have been, but now you must match it, or fold, giving me control to do what I wish."

Quickly taking the bomb back, he tucked it back in his vest. "First question: Who the hell are you? Second question: I know you are not with Luna, and I know you are not working for Celestia, so who are you working with? Third question: What do you think you are doing?" The wolf demanded. He was now growling at this point. He was find being contained at his choice, but the top two three things that pissed him off were being betrayed, being held against his will, and being deceased.

As you step inside, you see David standing there, his back to you, knives levitating above him. He's hurling them, one after another in to a wooden practice dummy. As you enter, he smiles. "Ah,welcome to my practice room." He sets the knives down and walks over to you. "If you like, you can practice tossing that life of yours at those dummies over there, or if you want to use some of mine, I just put them down on that table. Feel free to do what ever you want here. What's mime is yours." He smiles again, then goes over to a wall where some swords are hanging up. Grabbing one, he starts circling another dummy, backing, slashing and blocking in a deadly, graceful dance of flashing steel. As you had walked in here, you'd seen other tunnels branching off of here. Do you explore them? Or do you explore the training room? There's all kinds of weapons placed around it. Crossbows, swords, daggers, knives, even a spear or two. Or do you try to talk to David and ask him some questions?

You said you were an  agent for the NLR right?... Are you planing to join back up with them?... Cause.. um.. If you don't know where they are now I could take you there...." He shuffles a bit and hoped that David wasn't paying attention when he missed.

Lewis draws the knife and hurls the knife towards the dummy and misses horribly. "uhg...." He hangs his head then looks over to David. "So... David... You said you were an agent for the NLR right?... Are you planing to join back up with them?... Cause.. um.. If you don't know where they are now I could take you there...." He shuffles a bit and hoped that David wasn't paying attention when he missed.

David pauses when he hears his name, but doesn't turn around. He waits a moment or two, then returns to his sword technique, attacking with greater ferocity then before until he's so tired he sits down, panting. He turns to face Lewis, sheathing his sword as he does and opens his mouth to respond when a loud beeping goes off through the cave. Davids eyes widen and he dashes out of the room yelling something about the proximity sensor. You find David staring at a screen on the security booth. He turns to you as you enter and says in a low conspiratorial tone, "There's more survivors out in Ponyville. Two of 'em on the train tracks." Before you can respond though, he holds up a hoof to stall your response and says "One of them is a changeling."

Lee nods happily enough and starts walking through the town ruins. Every once in a while, you think you hear the monotonous hoof steps of soldiers, but Lee is always able to find a good enough hiding spot to let you and him evade them. It seems to you like he's able to hide just a lite to easily, like he's done this before. When you finally get on to the train tracks Lee turns to you and asks "North or south?"

 

Red thought for a second. The choice was tough... maybe north, to cloudscale? Or south, to the safe zone.

*If we go north, we might be able to help but get killed... if we go south we'd be safe. But if the war reaches there, we'll die anyway. Well I hope princess Celestia accepts random travellers to her cities.* He thought to himself while looking both ways.

"Ehh... I guess north? You know, where Celestia and all the good ponies are? Plus, we'd get protectian there."

His eyes glanced over to Lee.

"What do you think?"

In his mind, Lee became even more of a threat.

*Doesn't want the good ones to offer him protection? Hides like he's been doing it for years? Outcast of something? The New Lunar republic? But why would anyone at the Solar Empire know him then? Was he a general? A fearsome unicorn that slaughtered thousands of Solar Empire's soldiers? But then why did he say he was an outcast? Did he rebel at some point?*

These were the only things Red was thinking about at the moment. His eyes were locked onto the tracks and he didn't know where he was going.

Agririon shrugged. "And then you guide me to where the bomb was supposed to be placed. Then we place it, we set it off, then you make for Manehattan, and I get to tell Luna and Celestia that I've done exactly what they've told me too. Besides, Celestia didn't tell me not to blow up the bomb." Turning around, he revealed the facsimlie of the bomb, the only difference being a small moon inscribed on the side of it. "Does that answer your questions? And don't growl too loudly, they could hear us."
