Azureth 687 March 29, 2014 Share March 29, 2014 So I was watching a video and in it it had a clip of the show "Who wants to be a millionaire". The question asked was: "The children's TV show "My Little Pony" has found a large following of adult male fans that are known by what name?" The (rather humerus options besides Bronies) was "Man-Colters", "Mare-men" and "Hoofers". I have to say I found some of them kinda funny. He ended up skipping the question lol. I managed to find a video of it: Just found it rather funny and wanted to post, and to also ask if anyone has heard any other funny names for MLP fans?

FoxyCryptid 4,330 March 30, 2014 Share March 30, 2014 Man-colters sounds like something really dirty that I may or may not want further information about.... 1 "You know, I don't know who or what you are Methos, and I know you don't want to hear this, but you did teach me something. You taught me that Life's about change, about learning to accept who you are, good or bad. And I thank you for that." -Duncan McLeod.

It's about how far you are willing to go to get what you want. You punch me, I'll stab you, you stab me, I'll shoot you, you shoot me, I will murder every last member of your family. However far you're willing to go...I'll go further.
Celli 4,338 March 30, 2014 Share March 30, 2014 I'd say a couple names, but they're kind of offensive. If you browse or post on 4chan, you'll probably know one of them.

SasQ 1,376 March 30, 2014 Share March 30, 2014 (edited) I have this problem with the name "Brony" in Poland, because in Polish language it is a name of a farming tool used for harrowing the soil So it's quite weird to call oneself by that name (But quite funny when you think of Applejack using Bronies for harrowing the soil ) Although this tool was made from recycled spiked gratings used for gates in castles, and its name was then to mean "something which protects" (from "broni?" = "to protect"). So maybe it isn't that bad a name?... Once I jokingly called Bronies "patatajce" from the onomatopoeic word "patataj" for galloping (so it's a funny name for "the galloping ones"). I still think about a better Polish name, though... Edited March 30, 2014 by SasQ My best posts list Recent post: Language Exchange

Astralshy 26,759 October 3, 2021 Share October 3, 2021 Interesting topic. Besides bronies, pones or simply fans the only other term I encountered so far was "pegasister" for female fans.
