I've only watched Smile HD and I've only heard of that and Cupcakes. But just based off of those, I'm gonna go with "WTF did I just watch?" for all of them.

Seriously, hate them all. I don't see how people can claim "OMG I LOVE PONIEZ SO MUCH" and then just go and enjoy this kind of shit.

 

Honestly, the "shock value" argument is just piss poor. If you "enjoy" scaring yourself through watching things getting mutilated and all of that, I'm sorry, I can't find that to be healthy in the slightest. 

And although I'm active in many aspects of the OTHER part of the dark side of the fandom, grimdark/gore is something that I will never understand how people can claim themselves as "bronies" and get a kick out of that horrid display of fan labor.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't enjoy watching his beloved ponies torture and eviscerate each other.

 

I mean, I'm admittedly squeamish. I can't even watch Cupcakes without wanting to throw up. But I just don't see the appeal.

Some of us happen to have different opinions about the gridmark thing.

Don't get me wrong.

I love the show.

I watch it everyday.

I'm still a Brony, but I have a really dark side.

I actually enjoyed the Cupcakes fanfics because I thought it was well written out.

but seriously I genuinely thought the .MOV series was cute. Not in terms of plot, that was just lulzy and weird, but Hotdiggedy's character designs are pretty adorable when they're not being all terrifying.

Everything is meh, except for .mov and pinkie pantsu. I thought .mov had some funny moments, and Pinkie pantsu got me to laugh at the end.

Yea....I don't really like seeing ponies (especially Fluttershy) getting the crap beat out of them or seeing their head getting unexpectedly blown off by a Heavy's shotgun, or seeing someone rip out their wings... or...yea.. you get the picture.. 

 

I don't like grimdark/gore whatever you call it.

 

Ponies are meant to be cute and adorable, Fluttershy especially.

Honestly; people enjoy a good thrill in watching scary movies. Hell, I know I do, but the reason that I don't mind that is because I don't claim to love and enjoy the people I'm watching in said horror flick. I have no emotional attachment to them; that's the problem.

 

People in the fandom claim to love these ponies and are emotionally attached to these ponies; to claim to love and have emotional attachment to something and then finding pleasure in it getting ripped apart is redundant.

Well when you read a horror story the characters that are dying and being tortured you don't feel any compassion towards them because you've never gotten to know them.

MLP gridmarks on the other hand give people an emotional shock.

Some hate getting shocked like that.

Some love the feeling of shock.
