what will the next gen be like?

First of all, I bet they will just keep announcing new seasons until we get bored with it, which may be unlikely.

 

Second, when they DO make a new gen, it's probably just going to be a virtual clone of G4.

They will not diverge too far from G4.  It'll be more of a G4.5 in my opinion.  G4 will end in a couple of seasons when Twilight (maybe all of the mane 6?) will become rulers of Equestria and make it a better place.  G4.5 will still occur in the same universe, but other than that, here are some of my proposals.

• The CMC is told by Princess Twilight (or Celestia) to spread friendship.  The least favorite of my proposals.
• Centuries after FIM, Equestria falls into chaos again and a new group of ponies must spread friendship again.
• Tons of little FIM spinoff series, each lasting just one season and following one story arc each.

The Mane 6 will only exist in the background at most in the next generation.  Fan fiction won't become canon.  Whatever happens, it will be a spinoff, not completely new.

 

Wow, thinking of possibilities is harder than I thought.

I'm quite baffled as well as to what it can look like and be.

 

I mean, with this gen, it was so amazing and something completely successful!

 

But the next gen? As long as the morale, effort, and ambiance is still there, I'm cool with it for the most part.
