Reddit to be pony-fied for 24 hours

So, if you go to reddit today, the main banner will have pinkie pie on it, along with various other pony related emoticons for 24 hours starting today. This is due to the mlp sub reddit winning a charity competition between the harry potter, last airbender, and adventure time sub reddits. 

As you can see, we blew 'em outa the water. 

So let us enjoy our day, for the year of the pony is here!

Haha, great! Probably not too surprising that this fandom wins a charity competition. (quantity+quality)

Also, that pinkified logo is just perfect!

 

Only for a day is a little ... little though. At least for a week would be more appreciative. And it's limited to a small area of Reddit. At a quick glance, I can't find any stock emoticons.

They could at least have extended it to their own subreddit like /r/news, no?

 

Oh well, I guess it had to be minimal to avoid massive drama and backlash. And since it's about charity anyway, the primary reward shouldn't be the symbolic gesture.
