The pegasus looked at the mare. "Yeah, I'm liking it so far. I mean, I haven't really had a chance to wander around the royal district yet, but that is on my to-do list." Thunder looked toward the DJ. "Right after we go to Vinyl and Octavia's to work on some musical fusion. So far, me and Octavia have fused our types of music, and despite Octavia not really liking metal, she liked what we made. I was thinking for me and Vinyl to make a song together next, then all three of us." Thunder thought about the sound of that song, and loved the idea of it.

"Canterlot has its ups and downs" She replied to the mare glued to her book. "Love the oppurtunities but hate the neighbors...at least at my apartment."

 

Spacer's eyes widened and about choked on a hay fry at the realization that this stallion actually has worked with Octavia and Vinyl. "You could do that?" she said with some excitement in her voice. She was interested in doing collaborative work with this stallion and the musical mares. "It would be an honor to work with you all"

"Well, that's nice to hear. Wait, what are all your names?" Shooting asked. "I'm Shooting Star." She introduced. "So, you guys like music? That's cool, I also like music." Shooting said. She looked at her saddlebag and considered reading her book but didn't.

Winter looked up and began to come out of his shell. "You are working with Octavia, I have played a piece with her once. Her on Cello, me on Violin. It was the greatest day of my life... also it was the first time I ever played my Violin in front of somepony" Winter said before smiling slightly.

The pegasus facehoofed at the realization that he didn't even mention his name. "I can't believe I forgot to introduce myself. The name's Thunder Shred. We don't just like music. We make it." He smiled at his comment." Turning to Winter, he smiled. "That's great kid! Always remember that genres are only there to make categorizing music easier. Look at what I'm planning on doing. Fusing deathcore, classical and various electronic genres. One thing I've learned is to not stick to genres like gak in your mane. Just a word of advice."

"I am the one and only Spacer" She said with a wink "Nice to meet you Shooting Star, what kind of music are you into?" She asked finishing her hay fries off wiping her hoofs off on a napkin. The waitress came to take the plate away and Spacer placed 7 bits on the plate. "Keep the change" She said knowing that the waitress was being overworked with how busy the diner was. After she left, Spacer listened in on the other ponies conversations.

"I never really liked other kinds of music, Rock is to loud, Metal... I can never understand what they are singing, Techno... Well Techno I never found that interesting but I haven't really heard that much Techno and dubstep... Classical is the only music I can play and or listen to without something going wrong." Winter said before sinking back into his seat.

Thunder let out a small giggle. "Well, you can't understand what they're singing in metal because they aren't singing at all!" Thunder said playfully. "I don't know why other ponies think that we think it's singing. We know it's not. It's growling and screaming, not singing. After a while though, it grows on you and you start to understand what they're saying. The difference between singing and vocals we use, is that you can, hopefully, apply notes to the singer's voice, but you can't with growling. You can apply pitch, but not notes."

 "I have been playing for about... since High school. I also know how to play piano and Cello. I am trying to learn how to use my magic to play all three instruments at one time" Winter said. Once the subject is change to music. Winter begins to stop being so timid and opens up.

"That's really awesome. Which one are you best at?" Shooting asked. "Wait, what if you mess a bowing up with the cello or violin?" She asked.

 

'If he messes up on one would he mess up on all three? Or just either the violin or cello? What about both?' Shooting thought rapidly.

 

(You can bring me into a conversation about stringed instruments anytime, since I play viola so that should be interesting!)
