What is there to say about myself? I'm alive! Wouldn't have it any other way.

 

Wait, an introduction? Okay, fine! *clears throat*

 

In all sense of the words I am still a newcomer, perhaps a late newcomer that is unless Friendship is Magic lasts a few seasons more. Over the last several months I've been steadily getting more and more into the show and the fandom in general. Even having gone to my first convention recently which was BABScon in San Fransisco. It was kind of a last second thing since I only learned about it in the beginning of April, but I enjoyed it none of the less. Even dyed my hair a bright maroon for it cause why not, right?

 

Even had someone give me a thumbs up for it today. So I'm still rocking it!

 

In terms of other hobbies and/or obsessions, I'm an amateur artist, an avid toy collector which has kind of become less toy collecting, more pony collecting these days, I'm wanting to get into sculpting more as well learning to sew. Perhaps I'm just driven to design and make a plushie of my main OC, but it's perhaps a good project to start such on. Wouldn't you think?

 

Lastly, what is with my name? Well, it's based upon a reaction a friend of mine had when looking at a picture of mine. He said the moon looked more like a rock banana. So I liked that combination of words enough that it just stuck in my head ever since. (Changed name to Amber Rays - Le pony me!)

 

Now you all know and knowing is half the battle!

Welcome to the forums RockBanana! I'm new here too, and I've only been a fan for 1½ years but I've never been to pony con! Super jelly :3 Did you have fun? 

Which plushies do you have so far?

I want to sew my own plushies, but I don't have my sewing machine :(

Awe, I'm sorry to hear that you don't have your sewing machine available Mailittlepony. I tend to sew by hand though whenever I do. While it's not as perfect, it is a valuable skill to have regardless. Had removed the tags from my BaB Pinkie Pie a while ago and it left her leg open so that got stitched up as soon as I could. Still holding tight too after dozens of cuddles!

 

Well, besides the Pinkie Pie I just mentioned. There's an Octavia my boyfriend got me for my birthday, seven of the Beanie Babies, a BaB Spike, two Applejacks (one mini, one medium) with hat and a mini Vinyl Scratch. There's also a few oddities that I adore. One being a rather unique Applejack that can only be described as Tim Burton-esk and a felt Pinkie Pie that is pretty much in stitches. Hey, for me, the weirder the pony, the more I love it.

 

I totally had fun! Only did a one day, but still, it was so worth it. So doing to it again next year. :D

Yeah I was thinking about handsewing, it just seems like a really big project if done like that. My machine is left in my homecountry so I'm trying to decide wether I should ship it or just buy a new one??? ugh decisions!  :angry:

 

I only have one BaB Pinkie Pie that my boyfriend gave to me on my birthday and also our first date. Can you say 'best day ever'?! :lol: And then a small Twilight Sparkle figurine. If only I had more money though.. if only..

 

Would love to see your Tim Burtoney Pinkie Pie, sounds pretty cool  :o

Thanks a bunches and I'll have to take a look into it. That is, once I get done cleaning that is. My collection is by no means photographable at the moment due to it being all over the place.

Might be cheaper finding a new one sometimes if that's the case. Shipping rates can be pricey.

 

You have a great boyfriend by the way. :lol: Giving you ponies from the get go, totally awesome.

 

I'll probably get a picture of them up in due time. Probably in the collections topic that Fluttershyfan linked up.

Yeah I have my eye on one machine which is only about €10 more than the shipping of my old one. But I'm really sentimental about my old one lol.

 

I know he's great, I got so surprised when have showed it to me. I had only told him briefly that I liked MLP. Never letting go of either of them! MINEEEEE!!  :angry:  :lol:

 

And yes, totally do that :D
