10 New Non Pony Species for Season 5

Tirek is a centaur, remember? I wouldn't mind seeing more of those. I think the sea ponies would be the mermaids of the show (though they could look more like a hippocampus).

 

To be honest, I think he and Scorpan are the last survivors of the lost human kingdom that was implied back in G1.  Tirek shattered it with his Rainbow of Darkness and it turned him and Scorpan both into immortal monsters.  *shrugs*  But that's just my headcanon.

Since there was a troll in the comics, I'd love to see a troll in S5 as well.

 

Also, some reptilian species would be nice, kinda like lizardfolk.

Some of these would be okay, if they were semi-pony instead of humanish. I don't mind incorporating more mythology into the world; there's stuff like Tartarus and Breezies, so yeah. But a pony centaur just seems redundant, as does a pony harpie when there are already griffons and pegasi. Depends on how they pull them off. 

 

But yeah, there should be absolutely no human element to this. If there is I will totes be upset.

I'm all for new species being introduced, but nothing resembling a human EVER!

 

And before anyone says anything, Tirek and Iron Will were made more animal/creature than humanoid.

 

And I speak for a number of people when I say I'd much rather have Sea Ponies (or Mermares) over Merpeople.

I'm with you on this. This is one kind of world where I don't want any species that are humanlike. If we were to have satyrs, I would like them to be more like rams or goats, just like how minotaurs are more like bulls.
