Bronydom will dwindle in numbers well after the show has run its course, but never will the herd simply fade away. I agree with you. I don't think the fandom will just suddenly "END, BOOM"! It won't be as popular, but I don't think it will ever really end. 1 Friendship is not about whom you've known the longest..It's about those who've never left your side. Ask me anything! The franchise is not going to end for a long, LOOOOOONG time. So I say just chill and relax. Every show goes off the air eventually. That's life. But this is a really long time we're talking about. Silver Letter 1,832 November 13, 2014 Share November 13, 2014 We have had 71 episodes so far over the course of 4 years. I think there were 91 episodes. The 100th episode will be during season 5. I am optimistic that most fans will continue to enjoy Friendship is Magic long after its completion. When it is over, we will likely have another show to take its place. Even if that is not the case and the majority of the fandom ceases to continue then I'll still love the show and what it represents. Silver Letter!!! There's no reason to believe that the fandom will die once the show ends; I think the fanbase has grown to be its own entity in many respects; there are fanmade episodes, fan novels, conventions, discussion forums like this, and so on.
