Several 12mm shells impact all over the hill, many hit near the Land Base Team, the revolutionaries around then all run and take cover where they can

 

The Presedente watches from the city, he then turns to Mjolnir, "well, your men better get into position then, i want to be ready for their attack when ever it comes"

 

I ordered my companion to keep quiet, stay down, and not move a muscle. I just hoped that they did not spot us, no matter the likelihood that they wouldn't. Once the barrage stopped and the helicopter was long gone, we continued to crawl forward now near the top, once we arrived I used a hole made by the strafing run, to provide cover.

 

Once I was ready I called the revolutionaries leader and said, "I'm set up and ready to go, I am carrying two days of food and three days of water, once you can send your sharpshooters over here and provide them some silencers  if you have some, hell I could use a Dragunov silencer, out."

Mjölnir nodded to the President then sent a message to her troops as well as the presidents troops to prepare for battle in teams of four

The soldiers started preparing, both the mercenaries and government soldiers had similar weapons, consisting of mostly AK-47s and AKS-74us, although most of the government troops had FN FNCs as a primary weapons

"The sharp shooters would be nice,but when thy come make sure they have a armed spotter to cover them. Also can you provide a map of the area? It would help a whole lot if I knew where to best deploy them."

The Golden Serpent leader responded "yes, a map will be sent to you, if you wait a few minutes, my sharpshooters will take a map up there" a few revolutionaries went up to the hill, they were armed with dragunovs, and one of them had an R-700, once they got up to the hill, they gave him a map of the area

I opened the map and looking at the revolutionaries I sent the sharpshooter teams to different hills around the area, and commanded them to only fire on my signal and prioritize commanders, other snipers, and RPG users, With this it was just a matter of waiting and letting the snipers pick off commanders, and rocket men once the time was right and the battle begun.

A sudden chill went up Mjölnir's spine. She whirled around looking for anything amiss. She then looked up at that hill the President mentioned earlier and something clicked in her head. Hills like that were perfect sniping positions!! How could she be so blind. She turned to Sara. "Turtledove!! I want you and another pilot to get back in those Hinds and use their missiles and guns and blow up those hills!! While they are doing that we will travel to what ever's left and shoot them up." In the mean time Mjölnir took out a brown package and hid it in palace.

(You know, I think that may be considered metagaming, but since the other guy godmodded I'm guessing Skull will let it slide)

Sara shrugs, the roar of the rotors above her reminding her of the raw power at her beck and call. She opens the mic for a moment and gives a curt, "Roger ma'am, Turtledove is going free-fire. rockets deploying for effect." before firing once more, this time mixing in some 57mm and 80mm rockets with her standard APHE 30mm cannon rounds. She merrily flies around to the various hills, raining death on anything that could possibly be considered a hiding spot while her counterpart, a pilot trained by the local army that she would never dare call a pilot, does the same thing on the other side. Soon there is no area on the hill where life could exist, and her weapons run dry. She opens her mic again, "This is Turtledove, I am RTB for resupply, repeat Turtledove is going Off Station." before flying back toward the airstrip.

(since my character can't get lucky and survive a second wave lets go with the realistic approach.)

 

The snipers on the hills died and I was hit with a near miss by missile blowing my legs off, and killing my companion. I bleed out moments later not able to stop the bleeding. My last words, "Well Fuck."

 

(This is not in spite or some other petty/stupid/dumb ass reason this is just how the situation would go realistically) (Edit this is just a filler for now.)

Mjölnir still couldn't make that feeling go away. However the package she left in the palace made her feel a little better. For now she would wait until Sara came back and reloaded before going to attack one of the smaller camps and hopefully lead to the main enemy camp. "Copy that Turtledove but as soon as you are reloaded I'll need you back in the air along with a few squads in jeeps to attack one of the smaller camps. While I'll take the other."

 

((By the way what's metagaming? And sorry about that I just couldn't wait any longer. I didn't mean for the commander to die so soon. Plus I've had bad experiences with snipers so I wrote out of instinct. Please don't be mad at me.))

(Metagaming is using out-of-character knowledge to benefit your character. I'm not quite sure whether you were actually doing it, but the placement of your command to attack the sniper-filled hills right after they were filled with snipers seemed like it... I'm not mad, I just prefer when people keep their characters in character...)

Sara lands and waits for the ground crew to reload her weapons, switching from 4 unguided rocket pods to 2 80mm unguided rocket pods and a set of 4 heat-seeking missiles. After a few minutes she's ready to fly again.

Would you continue with the mission or would you kill both the enemy commander and the client and take over both their resources, armies and merge them together?" Mjölnir was toying with the idea and wanted to see what her second had to say.

(its okay, hell I did not say he died but that might be the route I go with this and maybe eventually throw up another character maybe Indicus for his lone wolf assassin tendency but not that could get too OP without me meaning it. I'll just see what happens from here. but you guys won this one. The Irony is I used a sniper character to stay away from heavy combat. Damn lucky shots you know what Marcus is too damn underdeveloped to die so if you all approve I will pull a Deus ex machina with a medic, but only if.)

(As an act of good faith and to prove I meant no harm and cause I'm curious as to where you are going with this I'll allow it. You have my vote. So what do you intend to do after the medic revives you? So what now? If we won this one, what next?  Is the assignment over or is it just the battle?)

(probably the assignment as this seems to be the final battle of their conflict, as for what I will do I will think on it and post it once I can because the question is how will I continue without legs in a mercenary group. so have fun and be patient, cya later)

I sit in my room, smoking and redressing my wounds to keep them from going septic. I start going through files of previous missions i have under took, the stumbling appon Shadow Moeses Island. I decide to take it out and start rereading events that have occured. Hoping that Metal Gear was buried for good. Just wasting time as i heal for going out

"My apologies President Alverez but you are being kept on a need to know basis. We don't want you spilling any secrets or plans to the enemy in case you are captured and interrogated before we can mount a proper rescue. As preparation goes yes we are indeed ready. Something will go down tomorrow. I will send one of the Hinds on a scouting mission in a last attempt to find the main base. With the hills destroyed the playing field is now even. They will have no choice but to come to us and mount a frontal assault which will give us the advantage and if they destroy the scouting Hind then we will know where their base is at. That is most I can tell you without going in to too much detail." Mjölnir told the anxious President.

The president sighed "Fine, play that was, as long as you do your job and get rid of them" he walked off, the troops around him continued doing what they were doing, setting up defenses and patrolling the area looking for the enemy and generally hanging around
