Sephiroth VS MLP

OG CHUCK

Are you serious? Even with his pitiful magic skills compaired to other villains, he'd still wreck Equestria hard.

He gave his opinion. :P

MLP would easily win in a fashion show. With ponies like Rarity for the clothing and Sapphire Shores as the model, Sephiroth wouldn't stand a chance even with his rock hard pecs and flowing silver hair!

I beat Sephiroth, and all I had was a controller!  How much HP do each of the ponies have?  How much damage can they do with their normal attacks??  Special attacks???  Can one of them fling Spike at him?  Is Sephiroth susceptible to Twilight's magic?  Can they use Phoenix Downs?

Game mechanics don't count, as they're specifically designed for a winning outcome. Unless you're joking, those are horrible factors to put into this.

One: yes, I was joking lol.  Regarding the...  Imaginary, inexplicably dragged out of their respective universes match-up between a video game boss and colorful, animated ponies.  Thought the "can they throw Spike at him" bit was a dead giveaway.  And Two: Who makes the "rules" concerning said imaginary / ridiculous match-ups?  Sephiroth is a video game character.  I defeated him both by using a magical item that restored my fallen comrades to life, and by summoning powerful creatures utilzing colorful spherical gems.  Here's a relevant factor: Sephiroth is out of commission, and therefore can't fight colorful, similarly fictional ponies.  Ponies win by default, because "I" killed his butt, and then Cloud Strife killed it again.

Please don't attempt to apply "logic" to this lol.

You can't say for certain, if the times coenside with each other, to know if MLP takes place before, after, or during when Sephiroth is alive in his universe. So really, that's just moot. As for Cloud, he did get deus ex machina powered half way through, and he also killed the original, so he was pretty much set to do it again.

Easy. Send him to the moon!

But in all seriousness, The elements of Harmony are seriously overpowered, not to mention one character vs the entire world of MLP not to mention Discord too would be a bit unfair.

Are you kidding me?  Discord is nearly similar to that of my favorite Final Fantasy villain "Kefka."  He could give that Mama's Boy Sephiroth a run for his money.

Don't even go there. Discord is a pissant compaired to Kefka.

Sephiroth could use a magic spell to get rid of any barriers the ponies try to set up. You could also break magic barriers with Destruct Materia.

That's assuming that barriers in Equestria, created through unicorn magic, are the same as Materia/Lifestream-based barriers. For all we know, Sephiroth could be utterly powerless in Equestria or against Equestrian magic.

What if I *specifically* select the video game version of Sephiroth?  And it's late in the boss battle - he just attacked and has to wait for his turn lol - and he's down to 1 HP?  Errr, his wounds are so significant that the mere gentle touch of a hoof will do him in?  What if the ponies are spirited away INTO FFVII, and they are then allocated HP / MP totals, given an item inventory, and otherwise adhere to the mechanics of the video game world??  The only time I think logic should or can be applied to this sort of silliness is if a match-up occurs between two characters from the same universe.  At least then everyone presumably adheres to the same rules, and there may even be an indication somewhere in canon as to who would emerge victorious.  Apple Jack vs. Rarity, for example.

^ You gots a brohoof for talking up Kefka lol.  Kefka = best FF villain ever (imo).

Possibly, but there is a way that the ponies can be destroyed. They aren't invincible.

Still adding game mechanics, which are pointless. Even if they were, Super Nova drains 90% health, and none of them know how to heal, so one more spell ends the game for them. There's also Advent Children, and a few other sources that put him out of game mechhanics, and his sword skill alone would wreck them.

As for Kefka, yes he is lol. Although, him, Exdeath, Zeromus, Kuja, and Ultimicia, would tear through everyone in Equestria solo, without breaking a sweat.

I never meant to imply that they were but Sephiroth wouldn't necessarily have it easy taking them out either.

I'm not adding game mechanics, per se; I've spirited the ponies into the game world itself, wherein Sephiroth first appeared.  They've merely adapted to their virtual surroundings.  And Sephiroth would be nothing were it not for FFVII.  Also, Sephy has 1 HP lol.  Fluttershy sneezes on him: Sephy fall down.  Cue OmniDash (see what I did there?) cinematic. xD  What's actually pointless is thinking that either one of us is "right," as the entire concept reeks of silly.

I have the strangest urge to boot up the old RPG Maker software and make an MLP old school RPG now lol.

Actually, that's false. The 1v1 fight at the end of 7, he has no HP set, he's coded to die when Cloud attacks, even if Cloud misses.

I was actually talking Sephy from the fight just before, and - admittedly - had forgotten how exactly it led into the Omnislash lol (it's been sooo long since I played through that game).  And could Cloud seriously miss??  That'd have been awkward.  "Ummm...  Yeah, I missed?  So...  Please die anyway???"

You mean Safer Sephiroth, who has 12 million HP? Cause it sounds like you're talking about the 1v1 fight, where Cloud's limit bar fils up automatically. That's the one where, Sephiroth is programmed to die, when Cloud attacks. There's a video about it, and the guy screwed with the game to reduce Cloud's hit % so he'd miss, and Sephiroth still died.
