I think it's very common for people to look back longingly at the media they grew up with, especially during their formative teenage years, and think that that was the golden age of entertainment, and that it was so much better than the crap they churn out today. I think a lot of this is nostalgia and rose-tinted glasses. I mean, sure, there were some great classics of yesteryear, and a lot of revolutionary masterpieces, and sure, there's a lot of regurgitated slop today, like the endless Marv

In trying to come up with a satisfying answer to pony genetics, I stumbled upon this idea that the different types of ponies may actually be hybrids of distinct species rather than races of the same species. This would better explain why some traits are common to all types while others are unique, as well as the very occasional cross breed like a pegacorn. This also adds some explanation as to the ponies' ability to cross breed with just about every other species, at least according to the fanon
Just a small ramble about how life's been going, I think I like posting about life stuff on this blog. It's nice to be able to dump out all my thoughts and feelings, but there's also something comforting about knowing there's someone on the other side, even if it's just briefly skimmed once or twice.
Anyways. Winter break.
This year my school's winter break landed really close to Christmas itself, like only a weekend away. I decided to put my two weeks in the previous week, so it was
It seems as good a place to start as any, the oldest known events as presented in the show's canon, the conflict between the three types of ponies before Equestria was founded.
Simply put, the Hearth's Warming story is a sanitized version of events meant to inspire unity and serve as a founding story of Equestria, but there are darker truths as to what really happened before the characters named in the story came to Equestria. While these characters were real creatures in history, they were
The consistent sound of heavy rain was broken by faint splashing, as a bipedal creature trudged through a forest stream; any observer was unlikely to recognize its species, but it was clear it was fleeing from something, as it kept looking over its shoulder. At a first glance it looked injured, with arrows in its back, broken blade through its torso, and a snapped arrow sticking out of its chest, it was a fair assumption to make; but at the same time, it didn't move like it was hurt, just tired.

So, in an offhand interaction between Fluttershy and Hummingway, a bird, I was racking my brain for a minute. "Hm. In what way is a pony pun produced by naming a bird after Ernest Hemmingway?" It took me just a little too long to realize--birds "hum." That's my confession for the day. A good deed.
In Furry Friends Fair, Fluttershy's signature pet bunny, Angel, is ostracized and humiliated by Flim and Flam at a show case for pet talents. Flim and Flam basically call Angel unremarkable, so a

Yay. Happy 2025. I was inspired by @Misty Shadow's blog post and decided to do a similar retrospective. Except I don’t really have much to look back on for 2024, it was a fairly uneventful year which honestly I’m perfectly fine with. Nothing awful happened, and nothing really amazing happened either. It was an year. So I guess I'll focus more on what I hope to get out of 2025.
G5 coming to an uneventful end was probably one of the main low lights of the year which all things considered isn’
So the time has come to say goodbye to 2024…a goodbye I’m personally glad to say because this year was not kind to me for the most part.
I’ll start with the positives, the few highlights. Monetarily, things went really well this year, I made a good amount of money despite needing to commission two chapters of my comic for my now finished story, Pipp the Poltergeist. If not for that, this would’ve been my most profitable year by far. Plus, my DeviantArt account has gained a significant amoun
Happy Holidays to all!
It's been a difficult, tumultuous, and often unnerving year for everypony. I'm not in the Christmas spirit or a Christmasy person, but I genuinely hope through all the chaos and heartache, those of you who longed for the comfort, feelings of goodwill, and sense of home Christmas brings to you was attained.
I hope you all love your gifts, and I hope everypony you've given gifts receive there's. I hope if nothing else, you can find surrender to another year complet
Hey. Y'know what really, really REALLY grinds my gears? Operating system end of life.
I've already ranted about how much I hate change. Twice! But this demands its own entry. I basically live on my computers, and I am so, so f*cking sick of having my life and my world uprooted and upended and thrown into chaos every few years when my operating systems reach their Celestia damned "end of life". Why, why, WHY in the name of Celestia's sunny ass do they have to kill operating systems all
A LONG time ago, in a young preteen Saturn's middle school days, there was a little thing...called Pokemon..and little child me LOVED this franchise...
Eventually, I made a friend who loved Pokemon just as much as I did....
AND THAT'S HOW LITTLE ME LOST HER MINDDD! And had her edgy phase! No MORE crushing on Red (even though that's a bold faced lie), I MUST have a self insert OC, and my friend had...
THE MARY SUE OC! I lied, she was a multi-fandom OC, and Purple (the OC) dated Red
So, I've been playing the first My Little Pony: Make Your Mark video game (A Maritime Bay Adventure). Don't get me wrong, its as easy as it can be. All fun simply comes from playing as characters you like and the overall charm. That being said, completing tasks, despite everything you need know about being handed to you, is fun and can be rewarding. Such licensed games was once a norm. New Pixar movie? New Disney movie? New Dreamworks movie? Popular cartoon? When does the action-adventure, shoot
Hey. Y'know what really grinds my gears? Bad and/or unnecessary game remasters and/or remakes.
Don't get me wrong--a lot of remasters and remakes are fine. Many are warranted and a huge improvement. But many of them are also totally unnecessary, and some of them actually wreck things, in my opinion. Firstly, the game industry is absolutely obsessed with remastering games. They release remasters so soon after the original that there's basically no point. Why remaster a PS4 game for PS
You're cold. You get me sick every year. And I end up spending my entire net worth on gifts!
And yet, you're still my favourite time of the year.
Secret Santas. The decorations around town. Coming up with gift ideas. It's just a special kind of fun, seeing some freak out and rush around, while others join me by the public fire and roast marshmallows. The local market huts are filled with artisans selling their goods, with a covered seating area surrounded by burgers, sau
The discontinuation of the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series in 1969 obviously didn't mean the characters just vanished. The earlier cartoons would be aired on various compilation TV shows continuing what "The Bugs Bunny Show" had started, such as "The Merrie Melodies Show", "The Sylvester and Tweety Show", "The Daffy Duck Show", "The Daffy-Speedy Show", "The Sylvester & Tweety, Daffy & Speedy Show", "The Bugs Bunny/Looney Tunes Comedy Hour" and "The Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show".

As 2024 thankfully draws to a close, and with good hopes for the coming year, I wanted to give a brief (as brief as I can be anyway) life update, and possibly explain why I keep popping in and out of here at odd intervals. It won't be a fun story, but I can only hope it will serve as some form of an explanation into the inner workings of this freight-haulin' little pony (as I've chosen to represent myself on this forum).
First, a little bit about myself in general: I don't have much luck w
Wow has it been a rough past couple months. As I phrased it in my last post, addiction is not magic, but sobering up can feel like a miracle. After I made my last post, my relapse got worse. I was getting high and drinking multiple times as my relapse evolved as per the course. For the most part, because I naturally do well in school, my law school grades have still been B's and a few A's, but one class in particular was neglected and I might fail it. Regardless, I graduate the same year, and it
