I learned something today.

As some of you may have been aware of, I was in a relationship with a girl from the Forums.

 

I had met this girl some days ago, after Ashley introduced me to her. Given I had just suffered from a rejection, the girl Ashley introduced me to made me really happy. So happy actually, that I slowly fell in love with her. We talked and talked like we had known each other for years, responding almost immediatly after each other. I decided to tell her about my feelings towards her some days ago, to which she responded she loved me back. And we started 'dating', if you really can call it like that. But Ashley warned me of something: Infatuation. Infatuation is defined as a foolish, unreasoning, or extravagant passion or attraction toward something or someone. However, love had blinded me to the point that I decided to ignore her.

 

A day or two passed, and I was extremely happy with how things had been going with her. But something happened. She told me that she wasn't ready to be in a relationship so soon, and she wanted me to leave her alone for a while. I cried maybe a little, and I got really upset. Maybe Ashley was right after all.

 

But I couldn't bring myself to believe her, after all this girl told me she loved me a lot of times. I thought maybe I could wait a month or so and then try again. Infatuation.

 

Ashley was right after all, and I felt destroyed. I cried like never before, I felt awful and why? Because love blinded me.

 

You see, love is something really complex, that many of us still can't understand. Me included. But I decided to move on, since I may eventually find another girl that will make me as happy as I was. Maybe even more.

 

Infatuation is a real thing, and it can really affect you. Please don't make the same mistake that I did, and don't fall for someone as rapidly as I did.

 

This is what I learned today.

Personally,when you first told me about you dating someone on such a short time,I had the same thought as Ashley,infatuation,but I thinked that maybe I was wrong,and didn't mentioned it.But watching how it ended,I regret to not tell you that before,because maybe it could've helped to avoid this situation.

 

I only can tell you something on this situation.Don't make things go too fast,and take your time,because,if you go too fast,you'll comit the same errors from the past.

 

Ever onward,try to not think in the harmful paat,and try to make a better tomorrow for yourself.

Yeah, infatuation can be a pain.

 

Love is just complicated in general really, which is why I just never really have bothered to act on it. 

 

(plus i'm to shy to and a bunch of other reasons but regardless)

 

but if the love wasn't mutual, regardless of if it was infatuation or not, i guess it wasn't meant to be.

 

Sorry to hear dude, but I'm sure you'll get someone to truly love, and who will love you back, and it won't be just infatuation.

 

For now, just take it as a life experience, and learn from it, you live you learn.

 

I'm sorry to hear though.

Becoming close to somebody takes time.  It's easy, especially for teens, to get caught up in the excitement of the moment and think they're in a relationship when really they're not.  Infatuation is one of those pitfalls to watch out for.  I'm sorry things didn't work out but it looks like you and she learned something important here that can be a good growing experience.

Yeah, I made the same mistake with... well, a couple of people. I don't think I ever truly "loved" them the way love should be like... and I somehow doubt that they did, either. It's kind of hard, finding a mutual relationship that way, y'know? I still don't know what love really is, but right now, I'm still very young and I have a lot of time to learn. You're the same age as me, so you do, too. :)

Haha your advice wont have any effect on the many Romeos roaming about. They learn the hard way, just like u and I did. But you have my respect for sharing your experience like this. ^takes off hat^
