Top Gun and his deep homosexual undertones. (Basically me taking Top Gun way too seriously)

(I don't try to anger any homosexuals with this blog. I just did this for fun. It's obvious that this movie has homosexual undertones. But i just go over the top here. :P)

Before i go off on why i make this blog, i want to say something about the movie in general. I never understood why people hold this movie in such high regard. I mean sure, it pretty much made Tom Cruise into a star, whatever you make out of it is your choice. But this movie is incredibly average in my eyes. If i watch it, i might catch it in the middle on TV and keep it running, while i do my stuff on my Notebook.

The song Danger Zone from Kenny Loggins is awesome though.

But anyway, to the stuff i wanted to talk about.

People who are fans of Top Gun, always say how manly this movie is. It has american pilot fighters, who blow up a bunch of russians in the end. The true american way right?

Screw all this stuff about jet pilot fighters, all the stuff about motorcycles and all that stuff about girl meets boy. This movie is about something completly different.

This movie is about a man struggling with his own homosexuality. That's what the movie is really about.

Maverick (who is played by Tom Cruise) is representing a man who is on the edge of becoming a fully homosexual guy, because he is with all these fighter pilots, especially Ice Man (played by Val Kilmer) who has a special eye for him. These fighter pilots represent the gay man.

All the time, especially in the famous volleyball scene, you can see the messages that they want to give this man. They say "Come on. Go the homo way. Be one of us."

And then there is Kelly Mcgillis (played by Charlie Blackwood) the women that Maverick has kind of a relation with. She represents the Heterosexuals. She tells this man "No. This is wrong. Stay on your normal path. Play by the rules." While the homosexuals still try to getting this man to go the homo way, throughout this whole movie.

During one scene, Maverick is going to Kellys house and they have a nice time together and maybe something more might come. But nothing comes. He climbs on his motorcycle and leaves. Kelly thinks "What the hell? What am i doing wrong?"

In the next scene, we see Kelly in the elevator, dressed like a guy. She has a cappy on and has pretty much the same stuff on, that Ice Man also has on. She says "okay. This guy is going towards the homo way. I gotta bring him back by acting more like a man." That is the way she wants to do it."

But everything comes pretty much crashing down at the end of the movie, where Maverick is pretty much a homosexual. The Homosexuals have just beatin the Soviets. They all land and Ice Man, the man who tried to get Maverick all the time he got him. The last thing Maverick said to him was "Man, you can be my wingman anytime."

But that's just a theory,  A HYPNOTIC THEORY!

I want to make clear that NOBODY was hypnotized, during the making of this blog

Honestly I didn't find this funny at all but I agree that the movie is overrated.

Tom Cruise has been the crush of many a gay man over the last few decades.... It all started with the movie "Legend". A young tom in tight leather pants... not that I notice such things...  <.<  >.>

So you think Top Gun is gay?

What? Me? Of course not.

What makes you think that? :P

Let us be totally honest here. The 80s where a time, where alot of stuff had homosexual undertones, not just movies.

I speak mostly about music artists, like tears for fears, pet shop boys, erasure, etc.

Not that i don't like them. But it makes you think.
