Hate of snakes and foxes

Foxy Socks

My two favorite animals, snakes and foxes are unfortunately animals that get a lot of hate, especially snakes. At least foxes are seen cute and fluffy by others (they are!), however snakes are pretty much universally feared and hated.

People can have their opinions, and don't have to like them, but it would be better to give both respect. They both can be beautiful creatures, and don't seek out to attack people or pets.

Foxes get a bad reputation because of their predatory skills, but are generally harmless to people. They are also unfortunately considered pests too, but they (along with snakes) keep other animals that interfere thselves. (I refuse to call any animal a pest).

Snakes are viewed and scary, evil, and dangerous. I understand fears of them as I have my own fears, and there are many deadly snakes, but not all of them are. Snakes are most certainly not "evil" either, they don't even have the capability to feel malice.

What I am trying to say is harming these beautiful animals is simply not justified however much you don't like them. Try to understand, and if you still are afraid or don't like them just leave them alone. They don't deserve to be attacked just because you don't like them.

Snakes also have a bad reputation, because they are linked to the devil, since Adam and Eve where seduced by the devil to eat the forbidden fruit, who was disguised as a snake. That's why snakes are looked down upon. :(

Well that is one reason but in some places snakes are dangerous and can kill kids if not handled properly.  Snakes are not that common so people go after them sometimes because they think it is cool to see one which could cause the snake to fight back.  I have seen people pick up wild snakes just for the fun of it and because they can.  With other animals you can't really pick them up off the ground because they are too fast to catch but snakes on the other hand can't escape as fast as the others.  Snake injuries just occur because people are foolish enough to go after snakes but in reality snakes do not go after people so if you leave them alone then their is no reason to fear them.

Foxes are the cutest but to be fair I can see why farmers would hate them.
They're kinda vicious to chickens

Saw a snake once, it just was lying on the dirt pretending to be dead, I just skipped over it.

It's also a regional thing. Foxes are still ritually hunted in Great Britain, while being worshiped in Japan. I love foxes, and used to own snakes.
