I agree with Sepia. You can't criticize someone for being lazy when you, yourself, are too lazy to adhere to basic english grammer. Putting "READ AT OWN EXPENSE," is no excuse for making a lazy post. Especially when the post is criticizing "lazy" people.

Also it isn't the game companies who are lazy. It's the players who are lazy. You think they make those changes because they are lazy or that they don't care? Hardly. Most game development companies have whole departments dedicated to analysing how their profucts are doing and what features people like. Don't mistake a feature YOU don't as a feature that EVERYONE doesn't like.

In the end, it isn't even up to the game developers. It's up to the investors and if the investors say they want another cookie cutter COD then guess what? They are probably going to get it. Money doesn't grow on trees and video games are incredibly expensive to make.

Listen. Don't take this the wrong way, but if you "don't care 4 grammar" then you shouldn't write a blog post to begin with. The point of writing is to get a point across, and if you "don't care 4 grammar", then that makes what you write an eyesore to those who read it. You say you're good with art, so I'll put it like this: If I lazily slopped a gallon of paint on a canvas and expected you to look at it and see it as a dog, that would be annoying, wouldn't it? Your opinion can't really be expressed to others easily when they have a hard time trying to figure out what you said to begin with. I'm not saying this as an insult. It has everything "to do with it" -- how is one to take an opinion seriously, if the author cannot show that he cares enough to write it using correct syntax and grammar? It shows the writer of said opinion is rather apathetic towards his own viewpoint.

Anyway... Since I'll be the only one posting on the actual subject I would say companies have become lazy when it comes to having new ideas. Not necessarily with the actual product they put out.

But I very much like Nintendo, I feel they're the only company that really keeps creativity on the forefront.

Finally someone who answered my question and didn't worry about my dam grammar thank you and i think the same way here Nintendo is the last good hope for the industry full of repetitive first person shooters and games that don't deliver what the developer promises

Guys. As much as he appreciates you trying to incentivize him to have better grammar, he did give you a warning. Are you going to blame the power company if you electrocute yourself? You can't, since you're dead and also because they have a sign. Though I do recommend Techno to get an editor, since they'll just grammar you're post up. Now the people won't go off topic, and you can get your point across.

1) Borderlands 2 is a loot driven game. That's the appeal. It's about fantastic art, a pretty good story and loot. Lots and lots of loot. You're missing the point of the game.

2) Saint's Row the Third is all kinds of ridiculous That doesn't mean it's a lazy development. It's just not your niche.

3) Mass Effect 2 was fantastic. And Mass Effect 3 was even better (except the ending). What did they remove that was good?

All in all, the games industry is not lazy as much as you're not it's target audience. And I'm in the same boat. I want more tactical, grand strategy political conspiracy games. But that's not what everyone else wants.
